This was the second tour of the day with Lucia. She has so much knowledge and was wonderful to hear many interesting stories about some of the women who were important in Venice's history. She also took us to different off the beaten track places that otherwise we would never have seen. I loved that we ended at a woman led mask making store. For 3 Jewish women, this was a highlight of our trip to Venice. Lucia told the story of the ghettos and ghetto experience so personally, complete with family photos. It is necessary to tell our story, but Lucia's tour will be meaningful to non-Jewish visitors too. The experience is a first-hand view through the eyes of a Venice local. We had a great time with Lucia in the Scuola Grande San Rocco. She’s great company and hugely knowledgable. Despite having read up quite a lot before hand, we learnt lots of new things. She’s very good at interpreting the paintings as well as telling you about the history. Our sense was that she was particularly good at being able to adapt what she says to the existing knowledge of her audience, which we found really helpful. Lucia was a wonderful guide. She managed to make the visit to St Mark's and the Doge's palace highly enjoyable for all family members. We all learned a lot and had a great time. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our tour with Lucia. In the days leading up to the tour she shared suggestions on areas of Venice to visit, restaurants, and arranged for free private tour of a glass factory on Murano. She responded very quickly to all my questions, bought skip the line tickets well in advance, and confirmed our arrangements in advance so I wouldn’t worry. The tour itself exceeded our expectations. Her knowledge about the Basilica, Palace and history of Venice was impressive and so very interesting. We had the lovely Lucia show us around Venice. The kids, aged 9 & 11, put this as a top highlight of the trip. Lucia was passionate, knowledgable and kept the kids engaged in the 2.5hr tour. Lucia was the perfect guide for my 3 teenage grand daughters and myself. Her warm and friendly personality, enthusiasm and sense of humour were an instant hit. We learnt so much about the hidden side of Venice while walking around her special areas … looking for clues, spotting features & collecting information. Visiting a Venetian Atelier at the end of the walk and painting our own masks was magical and gave us the best souvenir to take home from Venice. Lucia was terrific. We had a group with a wide range of ages including kids ages 7 to 13. Her tour is set up to be engaging with children, and they stayed engaged for several hours. We had an incredible time learning everything about the Doge's Palace and their history. Lucia's fascinating knowledge was share in such a bright and entertaining way that our time flashed by. You can feel just how much Lucia loves her city and she imparted that love to us and our kids so that we were just as swept up in it. We had a fantastic experience with Lucia! She is an absolutely amazing tour guide who knew so much about the Jewish Ghetto. We could tell as she took us around the area how knowledgeable she was and how passionate and proud she was of this small but historic neighborhood. Our entire group were enthralled with Lucia’’s Venice biennale Collateral art venue tour! She set the stage with some important historical facts and encouraged us to see the Accademia artworks to provide a basis for the contemporary art we were about to see. We were taken to off the track places providing a range of different Biennale artworks and also venues that were special in their own right. Favourites were the art school installation and the Nigerian Pavilion. Lucia gave us some tips of venues to see beyond the tour. Lucia gave a tour from an authentically Venetian perspective and her love for the city shone through. We could not recommend her more highly!Lucia blew us away!

We had the fortune to have a private walking tour of the neighborhoods of Venice with Lucia. She was such a wonderful host and took us to some beautiful places around Venice. We have just returned from our latest visit to our favourite city of Venice. As part of this we booked a trip with Lucia in order to explore and understand the origin and history of the Ghetto area. Our two hours with her flew by and she was able to give a much greater grasp of how and why the area was established and how it developed over the centuries. She was knowledgeable, passionate, engaging and charming and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting her and adding to our knowledge of Venice. She also gave us an insider tip to locate a ‘secret’ garden in Canareggio from which we were able to get a stunning view out over the lagoon on a crisp bright December day. As part of our conversation we were able to let Lucia know that one of the heroes of the Unification of Italy has a biscuit named after him in the UK…….we shall be sending some to her shortly! A Wonderful Experience!

Lucia provided an educational and fun tour for our family (kids aged 6, 6, and 10). We’ve been on several tours as a family and this was the one the kids voted best (and now they are convinced they want to move to Venice when they are older!) Hi, this is not the first tour of the Getto with Lucia, done the same thing 2 years ago but this time with Granddaughters and I wanted them to learn as well as seethe place. They were both enthralled and as last time she has the ability to make it 3D. We wanted to see and learn about the real Venice during the three days we spent there in May 2023. We booked a private tour with Lucia who showed us how the Venetians live, work and move about these most wonderful mini islands. Lucia was very open on our communication prior to our tour at the Gallerie dell’ Accademia. She graciously accommodated our request to focus the tour on the artwork at the Accademia. She met us punctually and with an amazingly friendly greeting. She first showed us some images of Venetian artwork to describe the differences in the modern-day buildings as she described some historical information about the Accademia. She has lived in the US for a number of years and her English is perfect. Once we entered the Gallerie Lucia’s extraordinary passion and vast knowledge about Venetian art, culture and history became apparent instantly. She had meticulously planned the sequence of paintings and artwork to view with us. She pointed out many aspects and details in the paintings while she provided an in-depth commentary about the painter and their art. Lucia has a strong connection with the Venetian art and brings it to life. Lucia was very willing to answer any question that we had. She kept the pace of the tour coordinated with our desires. The 2.5 hours in the Gallerie was an amazing experience and we are so grateful to Lucia for becoming a friend while she shared her knowledge as we explored the art collection with her. Along with our teenage daughters, we greatly enjoyed our tour of the Jewish Ghetto with Lucia. Lucia did a wonderful job of explaining the long history and culture of the area and it’s role in Venice and weaving it all into more recent times. The most important characteristics in my opinion in a guide are not knowledge of their subject (which they already just have obviously) but passion and warmth. Lucia endears herself by being sweet, patient and loving what she does. It was so helpful that she had tools like maps and photos to show the areas of Venice as well as some historical details. Firstly, Lucia is so friendly and enthusiastic. Made us feel immediately welcome, at ease and excited about our tour. Her knowledge of the area was incredible.
