6. Black Madonna and/or boyschoire

   See and touch the black madonna guided with me is optional 11 euros per person (includes the Montserrat Audiovisual - a perfect introduction to this wonderful place). From Monday to Friday we can listen to the boyschoire for 11 euros more. Be sure you remember me for booking a seat for you.

7. Street Market

   On the way back to the car we can try some food from small local producers. Mostly cheese, figues and honey.

8. Back to Barcelona

   After this awesome day we will head back to Barcelona or to the place you prefer more.

9. Optional

   If you are interested in a really good meal, let me know. I know the best restaurants in the area, much better quality-price than in the city.

10. Optional

    We can make the day longer adding a winery. It is located 45 min from Montserrat and it is where was made the first spanish sparkling wine 'cava' and are produced very good still wines too. If you don't like to drink, maybe chocolate is a good option. Ask me for the cost of these extras.

Antonio is truly a gifted tour guide, and I would highly recommend booking with him above anyone else. He felt like part of our family, and we are so grateful for everything he had planned for us. We were traveling as a family with two small children, and I cannot emphasize enough how nice it is not to have to worry about logistics when wrangling children. Not only was everything planned out at a pace we could all keep up with, but every consideration was taken into account. And Antonio is so easy going and informative about the area and history. He showed us places we would not have thought of, and a restaurant we would have never found on our own that was so delicious! We booked Antonio for our day trip to Montserrat based on previous reviews, and we were grateful we did. Antonio was very communicative and accommodating. My 82 year old mother was with us and Antonio was incredibly kind, patient, and caring towards her. He was also a wealth of information and spent the hour ride to Montserrat sharing his knowledge of the history of Barcelona and Monserrat. Antonio had our tickets ready and we experienced both the boys choir and the black Madonna in good time. He also walked us through the small museum with more informative videos of the sanctuary and its history. It was a perfect day and Antonio was a big reason for it. We couldn’t have done this day without him. He organized all the details of the different things we wanted to see and do. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Montserrat and the monastery. Before heading to the wine tasting he took us to a restaurant for lunch that had the most delicious food and an incredible view. He also took the guess work out of choosing which winery in the area to for our wine tasting experience. We had an incredible day and I would highly recommend Antonio as a guide. Antonio's tour to Monserat was excellent. The vehicle was immaculate, and he is a very safe driver. He was very organized and made sure we had all the right tickets. He knew all the tricks to make sure we made the best use of our time. He provided just enough history/background without going into the weeds. Giving tours is a bit of a side gig, so it was interesting to get his perspective on what's going on in Barcelona and Catalonia. No hesitation recommending this tour with Antonio. Montserrat is amazing and beautiful and picturesque; more than expected. Absolutely ask Antonio to get you tickets to see the Black Madonna. Antonio is a fantastic guide. He is very knowledgeable about Montserrat, Barcelona, and the surrounding area. Much superior to being on your own or with an audio tour. He ensures you have the whole experience of the Abbey, Basilica, “welcome center” video and historic mementos, and trying a locale delicacy which make for a well rounded visit. If you’re concerned about the drive I was very comfortable with Antonio’s driving, even through all the switchbacks up the mountain. Very conscientious driver. If asked I would not recommend to friends a visit to Montserrat - I would recommend a visit to Montserrat with Antonio.

We picked Antonio to take us to Monserrat to see the chapel, museum and hear the boychoir. From start to finish Antonio was anticipated our questions, was a font of knowledge about so many topics, and helped us understand Monserrat, Catalonia, and Spain. Antonio really knew his history. Any questions we had, he had an answer for and was able to so easily respond. He was also patient and nice when asking for photos. Antonio also made suggestions of where to take photos and provided further descriptions of the importance of certain areas we took photos of. We did the day trip to Montserrat with Antonio. He picked us up promptly, parking in the city and walking to our hotel to meet us. He was an excellent driver. Antonio customized the trip to accommodate our interests, adding additional hiking around the monastery. We visited all the buildings and Antonio was very knowledgeable. He obviously knew the area very well and efficiently guided us around. In particular, he guided us through the basilica with several stops to explain important aspects that we'd have missed if we'd toured on our own. Excellent tour of Montserrat

It was wonderful! Antonio picked us up at our hotel and drove the “scenic” route to Monserrat. We hiked to the cross, then he managed to sneak us in to see the church before the boys choir performance. He gave us lots of insights as to the history of the area and life in general in Spain. We had a 5-hour visit to the mountain with Antonio. He was knowledgeable and friendly. Also very patient with our young hikers (8 and 10) who needed to follow the trails a bit more slowly. We were even able to sneak in a quick visit to see the choir, even though we hadn’t pre-booked, which was a pleasant surprise. The rain honestly didn’t dampen the experience as the views were still pretty, the clouds deterred huge tour groups, and the lower temperatures were great for the hike.Monserrat Mountain

We booked the 5 hour tour which was perfect and learned so much from him about the area, Spanish culture and more. We had a great day out in Montserrat with Antonio. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the trip. We went for a short hike then visited the monastery and the black Madonna and then watched the choirboys sing.
