We were lucky that my husband and I were the only attendees for the Tapas Tour. We had a lovely evening with Enrique. He was very professional and cordial taking us to several Tapas Restaurants. Enrique gave us several suggestions for things to do and see while in Madrid. We enjoyed his humor and he was very knowledgeable about local events. He is a great Tour Guide and we had a great time. Enrique is a gift. We had so much fun with him during this "tour". He is knowledgeable, funny, and a great conversationalist. We did talk about tapas and Madrid for a little while but then we just moved on to discussing other topics just as friend do during a night out. Originally we had booked this experience because we really did want to learn where to go for real tapas and thanks to Enrique we went out on the town the next night and made it happen on our own. :) I highly recommend enjoying Madrid with Enrique! Our food and wine tour with Enrique was wonderful! What we liked most was it didn’t feel like a tour. We learned some history on tapas and what they really are but most importantly is how they are meant to be enjoyed with friends over drinks and that’s exactly what we did. Enrique was great! He is an awesome, personable tour guide! He gave us bits of history on Madrid while we were on our food and drink tour while also taking us to some really great restaurants. Funny thing is, it never felt like a tour, more like doing what a local does on a Saturday night, while catching up with a friend who knows a ton about Madrid and its culture. We greatly enjoyed our evening with Enrique. He met us on Gran Via and led us to to three of his favourite bars in Chueca, plus a stop at Mercado San Anton for delicious pinchos. We had more than enough to drink and and eat. Enrique explained that Madrid bars give a free tapa with a drink order, but some bars give more (and better) food than others. Our tapas included paella and chicken wings. Enrique insisted we throw the chicken bones on the floor like real locals, as he told us the origins of the custom. Enrique's husband met up with us and we wandered through the streets and plazas people watching and learning more about living in Madrid. Thank you Enrique for a fantastic evening. We were a large group on a Stag Do doing the tour. He took us to three places where we had really nice food and drinks. He also told us to contact him if we needed advice on any of the rest of our trip which we did and he gave us lots of advice. The feedback from the rest of the group was that it was really good. We had a good time with Enrique. His introduction talk was great! After that we visited three different places where only locals go, which is a lot of fun, because you won't go there yourself. Enrique did his best to keep us all entertained, but since we were with quite a big group it's hard to keep everyone focused. The tapas were good, but it wasn't a lot (only at the last bar) and at every bar there's just one drink included. Enrique is a great host, but price / quality of the whole experience is not very good.Decent tapas tour to local bars in Madrid

My husband and I hoped we would get a fun person to do our "Authentic Tapas" tour in Madrid. What we got was beyond all expectations. Enrique was AWESOME!!!! Fun, intelligent, incredibly knowledgeable, educated, spontaneous - all of the above. And did I say he was FUN? He spent 4 hours with us, and we literally talked about everything - from tapas to Franco to sardines to Spanish Inquisition to New York bagels - you name it - we talked about it. Thank you Enrique for making our first night in Madrid a memorable one! We enjoyed a lovely evening walking around Madrid with our new friend, Enrique. We went to 3 different bars and tried the infamous "free tapas." Learning about the history was fascinating and helped us understand why we had previously received free tapas in other places. We loved Enrique and thoroughly enjoyed his company and recommendations! We had a fun evening tapas tour with Enrique. He took us to some authentic tapas bars, shared the history of the tradition, showed us areas of Madrid we would never have found on our own and was a charming, fun guide. We even stopped in a beautiful food market and tried tapas there. This tour was especially great for our son, who is studying in Madrid for a semester.
