Had a great time exploring Nha Trang with Tien on her bike. It was an unforgettable experience. She clearly loves her city and knows a lot about its past and present. Tien speaks English proficiently and is able to articulate herself well. She is also very accommodating and responsive. I did not have much time to explore Nha Trang fully and the trip was a last minute decision but Tien was able to put together an itinerary that was comprehensive. She brought me to several wonderful vantage points with smashing views of the city and also the less touristy areas. The seafood dinner with lobster was an awesome way to cap the trip. Tien is so lovely, warm and kind, and her love for Nha Trang is infectious, her family are extremely welcoming and friendly and her mother cooked some amazing food for us; the highlight being a delicious fish. We booked this on the first days of the Lunar New Year! We started at Tiens house and her family gave us Cà phê sữa and dried fruit. Tien took us through rice paddy fields and up to a well-known local temple, where we shared a meal the locals there, all celebrating Têt. We stopped at a few places for tea and drinks, and we ended with lunch back at her house with her and her family. Tien was an awesome host, and very patient as we were much slower at bike riding! 5 weeks travelling we had so many questions about the things we’ve seen foods we’ve been nervous to try and places to go. We asked Tien to just show us around the town the markets and must try things in Nha Trang , we weren’t interested in a pre made tourist tour we wanted that more personal experience and she was perfect, her English was great and her enthusiasm and conversation flowed making us feel like old friends straight away. We learnt more about Vietnam in 3 hrs than we did the whole trip and she continued to help even after the time was up. She made me and my fiancé last night in Vietnam one to remember and would recommend her for anyone to get a better understanding of local culture and foods. A perfect finish to our Vietnam trip

According to the title “cooking with mom” and the price (we paid 70$ for two) we thought we were going to have a cooking class. But actually we just spent 20 minutes rolling Nems, and then everything was already there prepared, so we basically just had dinner. I am sorry to say we were a little upset because we thought we were going to learn something but actually we did not even learned how the dishes were made. (We tried to ask but the answers were vague and not in the spirit of teaching). The only asked before the experience, was what we wanted to “cook” and our suggestion was completely ignored. We finished in 1:30 (instead of the 3 hours mentioned) and then they proposed us to do a tour in motorbike around nha thrang and to take a sugarcane Tea. Everybody was kind and nice but is just not at all what we paid for. A local dinner and moto ride would cost maximum 20$, so I think this experience is completely overpriced and it is not clear enough in the title. 70$ is the price of a cooking class but there was no class. I am sorry for the hard review but the misleading title and the overpriced experience is not in the spirit of withlocals.Nice evening but not cooking class

Tien was a wonderful host. Took us through the busy streets of Nha Trang and into the surrounding countryside, including Ponagar Tower and Hon Do island. I recommend skipping the island, as you have to wait for the monk to take you back to the mainland by boat. I recommend to Tien that she gets some helmets for guests, as you ride through the busy traffic, which can get pretty intense for us westerners. Overwall, we really enjoyed the day, and Tien made us feel welcome.A good day trip around Nha Trang

We had an incredible day with Tien. She look us through the city and was very knowledgable of the area. Riding on the back of the motorcycles was such a unique experience and way to see the city. We really enjoyed getting to see the countryside and felt safe with each of our drivers. For lunch we went to a restaurant known only to locals, my daughter got vietnamese coffee with milk and loved it. We all enjoyed trying the local cuisine - it was delicious. Diese Tour sollte man am besten morgens machen, da die Zutaten auf dem Markt am frischesten sind. Tieng hst uns durch den wuseligen Markt geführt und erklärte uns einiges zum Thema Tet. Das Neujahrsfest. Wir durften einige Sachen probieren und haben unteranderem leckere Muscheln für den Lunch mitgenommen. Zuhause angekommen kochten wir mit ihrer Mutter ein leckeres vietnamesisches Menü! Wir konnten uns im Frühlingsrollen selber machen beweisen und lernten einiges dazu. Vielen Dank für alles! Absolutely loved our time with Tien. We did the streetfood tour and loved it so much we also booked on her scooter sightseeing tour. Both were brilliant. On the streetfood tour she takes you to some of her fave places to dine on the streets of Nha Trang whilst giving you an overview of the city. Tailored to your needs and she also know a great place for a foot massage along the way! The same for the sights, temples, monks, beaches, islands and a great vegetarian restaurant. Tien took us across whole of Nha Trang. We visited a Pagoda and a Temple, both very worth it! She also took us to try 2 different loca foods and uppon our wish to places we could find our favorite vietnamese foods. We had an amazing time with Tien. We had a very short stay in Nha Trang but with her tour, we feel like we didn't miss anything. We are more than satisfied with our night with Tien, we really loved it! All the food we tried was amazing! Tien had us try things that we hadn’t tried before like sugar cane drink and durian. I arrived in Nah Trang for Lunar New Year and that at first meant it was difficult to get a guide until I contacted Tien. Tien picked me up from the ship and took me back to share breakfast with her family. Lunar new year is all about family, so after breakfast we joined the masses heading up to the Pagoda to pay the families respects to their lost loved ones. Tien shared the importance of the place and time with me as we mingled with the locals and tourists. Then we hopped back on her scooter to head to the country and share a special place with only local people. We visited a local pagoda during which time she shared her concerns for how her beautiful part of the world is being encroached by the city. We headed back to the city to share lunch with her family during which time I was able to taste some special delicacies prepared especially for Lunar New Year celebrations. After lunch and saying see you later to my new Vietnamese family she took me around some of the wonderful beaches. What an experience which captures the true concept of “Withthelocals”. Tien shared a very special experience which will live with me for ever.Most amzing experience ever!

Tien came to pick us up at a resort 13km from town, no problem or extra cost because of that. Took us home for coffee at her parents house, drove us all over town and outside as well. She knows everything about the area, teaches at the college, speaks english very well and is very helpfull and friendly. The food she served to us was amazing as well. Tien is the most qualified local guide you could wish for and a sweet and lovely person ❤️ Communication was great from the start, quick replies online and her English is splendid! We requested a motorbike tour with highlights of both the city and the countryside and Tien went out of her way to share lots of hidden gems with us. She’s so fun to hang with and 100% knowledgeable. You can ask her anything. She even took us to a shop and helped us get a vietnamese simcard. We got to experience what a lively, colorful and special place Nha Trang is once you get away from the touristey areas and we went to serene and beautiful viewpoints outside the city. Had coffee at her mom’s place and delicious breakfast and lunch in different restaurants. The whole day was just totally enjoyable and Tien spent way more time than agreed showing us around. It was a wonderful night traveling on Tien’s moterbike around the city discovering the local street food. The seafood cake, chicken noodle, and mixed fruit dessert are so delicious. She also introduced her friends to me, we had a lot of chats and laughs as well learned a lot about the local culture and lifestyle. Tien picked us up at the habor by motorbike. We spent some time at her home, ohad really good coffee. By bike we visit the po Nagar cham towers, a place of worship situated at the heigh in the city, good view over the city and the bridges, after that we visit the long Son pagoda, it has two sides to see, the sleeping buddah and the sitting buddah, a Nice place to visit, we cycled along the beautiful beach, had the best fish noodle soup in town, we had a great time in nha trang with Tien, she is a very good guide, is gracious and very hospitable. It is very nice to drive to a normal house in a Vietnamese street and feel welcome immediately. Our kids (9 and 10 years old) could help or play with Tiens granddaughter. A student helped translating, but it was mostly see how the food should be made and than: repeat after me :-). We made springrolls, oysters and many other things. Too much to be eaten by the four of us. After the dinner we chatted with Tien and her daughter-in-law. She showed pictures of her travels and made coffee. Tien and her family were extremely welcoming and accommodating, especially because they found out at the last minute that we didn't eat seafood and changed the whole menu to suit us! The food was delicious and we were made to feel like part of the family. Tien's mother even gave us some Vietnamese coffee to take home as a gift when she found out how much we loved it. To top it all off, Tien and her brother then gave us a personal tour of the city - something we would never have got a chance to see had it not been for them. Wow, we can't speak highly enough of Tien. She organized our day so delicately showing us sights-tastes-smells well off the 'beaten-tourist-paths' of Nha Trang.
