After travelling extensively for many years, I settled in Roucas Blanc and have been living for the past 25 years. This secret Marseille 's neighborhood is a lush paradise by the sea, away from the bustle of the crowds.
As an insider, I know all its hidden coves, remote passages, islands of greenery, majestic houses and spectacular views.

Along the Corniche Kennedy
We'll pass at the edge of rocky coves less busy than beaches, and discover secret gardens, picturesque cottages, abandoned sculptures and old mansions by walking along green paths and banisters through a lush vegetation. A gorgeous route that only some insiders know about, if they live in the area ! For photography lovers or just for the pleasure, we'll take meditative breaks when arriving at the wonderful view spots over Marseilles natural bay. Of course I'll tell you about the history of this district and its evolution with the rise of the real estate and the arrival of « famous people ». -
First Stop
We walk around a beautiful and famous area called "Vallon des Auffes", a small port with a famous "bouillabaisse" restaurant and small fishermen house called "cabanons" -
Second stop
We discover an old neighborhood called "malmousque" situated along sea shore; It has been a military place and now It become a hipster place! -
Third stop
We discover a magnificent Valmer public park with exotic flowers and an incredible country house built in the 19th. century -
Fourth stop
We climbe on a very famous beautiful hill called Roucas Blanc (white rock) with lure gardens, small paths and steepy stairs climb. At the top an incredible panorama! -
fifth stop
We go down on beautiful and quite secret paths only knowns by the "insiders". You will not meet any tourist here! We are back on the Corniche Kennedy about 15 minutes from the meeting point... -

More about me
I am sixty six years old and retired 2 years ago. I worked at the town hall for 25 years so I know very well Marseille, the people, the city, its geography and its problems.
I 've lived in the 7th district, (the most beautiful of Marseille !) for 25 years and I know all the places, the paths and the stalemates were you w'll not meet any tourist !
