What you can expect

Discover the surf culture in Lima with a local instructor in Miraflores - a73101f3dc3c30dc7a8237573b67ae0d

Depending on the surf conditions we will meet at the suggested beach , after your arrival, that could be Barranco area or Miraflores, you can try our freshly brewed coffe or tea, this will get you ready to start the theory and warm up so you can have the basics to get in and out of the water with comfort and ease.

After all this you will be ready to step in the ocean and I will be sending you on few lilttle beginner waves, if you an advanced surfer and you got lucky with the swell that day, we will have the pleasure to surf together more advance challenging waves.

The lessons usually last one hour in the water, but we could stay a little longer depending on you.

Obviously after some waves we will be hungry so we will have some snacks ready for you at the van.

Then is chill out time at the van where we will enjoy the surf culture of Peru with Olita, my rescued pup and companion.

And we will make a gopro video of your whole experience!!

We had a private lesson with Richard on the beech. He is perfectly fluent in speaking English which is handy especially when you are in the sea! Really welcoming and a great instructor with a great deal of experience. 5 minutes into the lesson he had already explained better than previous lessons with past instructors we have had. We felt very safe and everything was kept under control while in the water. Cannot recommend this activity enough. A unique way to spend a bit of the day.

Had a great time learning how to surf from Richard. He did a great job explaining the ins and outs of surfing and making sure we had sufficient practice before getting in the water. Really enjoyed the videos and pictures he sent of the day after as well!Great experience

Richard was super fun and chill. He gave us a great tour of Barranco including really nice art galleries, a delicious bakery, and our favorite bar of the whole trip! Highly recommend hanging out with Richard to explore Barrranco with a local. Great tour

Richard is a nice guy but not very knowledgeable about Barranco. He showed us most, if not all the sites, but we learned nothing. We could have done everything on our own and saved our money. This is our 2nd tour with "Withlocals" and neither have been good. Barranco tour disappointing
