Lien was very insightful and fun. We only had a short period of time in Hanoi and wanted to experience some places and flavors we otherwise would not have known about and Lien delivered exactly that. She showed us some "hole in the wall" places, lessons in eating like a local, and recommended more spots with us for the next day to make sure we hit the highlights of Hanoi. Lien was very good at communicating and asking what we wanted from our experience and even catered to my wife's Vegetarian diet. If we had another day we probably would have tried to book her again. Her love for her city and region came through with talking to her and was all around a great experience. She kept the conversations very light, informing and fun. Jessica and her husband were the most amazing hosts for our food tour in Hanoi. Being in the food industry, Jessica's passion came through when talking about Vietnamese food and food specific to Hanoi. The duo were very happy to cater to our desires, but also pushed us to try new things which really payed off!! This was our first walk in Hanoi. I had the impression I was with a friend walking around the city. Jessica speaks very good English with an accent that everyone can understand. She knows the city and all the drinks and bites were to die for. As a tourist you wouldn’t go to these shops to eat because it is difficult to assess the quality! Really enjoyed my food tour with Hoa in Hanoi. She paid close attention to my preferences and made adjustments as needed. She’s also very knowledgeable about the local culture and was eager to engage in conversation. While Vietnamese food is delicious, I did notice a repetition of ingredients throughout the tour, which led to a lack of variety over time. My only other issue wasn’t with Hoa, but the stools at some places were uncomfortable for someone tall like me.Great introduction to vietnamese cuisine!

Ruby met my husband and I for an early evening stroll around Hanoi’s best street food places. She took us into venues we would have been too nervous to try ourselves and was really patient with all our questions ! We both had awful jet lag so we were a bit quieter than normal but Ruby was gracious and gave us a great insight into Hanoi and Vietnamese street food. Mit Hoa waren es tolle 2 1/2 h, die wie im nu verflogen sind. Durch Hoa haben wir sowohl kulturell als auch kulinarisch einen viel besseren Einblick in die vietnamesische Lebensweise bekommen und hinsichtlich des Essens hat Hoa auch darauf geachtet, dass dieses für europäische Mägen verträglich ist. This was our second tour with Anne we had last week. The night streetfoodtour experiance was amazing. We had very typical bites from hanois streetfood. I want to mention, that Anne choose streetfood spots which are save for a touristic belly ;) as I'm from Austria with a semi-sensitive belly I think this could be very imporant for other travelers too. This was our 3rd city doing tours With Locals (Saigon, Siem Reap and now Hanoi). Hoa has perfect English, is personable, flexible, very pleasant, knowledgeable and very interesting. She could not have been better. We had 2 tours scheduled with her on the same day: Highlights & Hidden Gems and Hanoi After Dark. That day it was pouring rain so we re-grouped. We combined the 2 tours and shortened our time together a couple days later. We were happy that she (and we) could accommodate the change. We cannot say enough good things about Hoa. She made Hanoi come alive and had endless interesting stories.The best! If she's available, pick Hoa.

It had been a crazy couple of days trying to accommodate to different travel styles and preferences of our fairly diverse travel group, so this 2-3 hour outing was an absolute breath of fresh air, literally. Tour was great. Brian obviously has a wide knowledge and love for old Hanoi, it’s history, culture and cuisine. Walk was not arduous although very hot and humid. He took us to places that we probably wouldn’t find or normally enter and introduced us to some very authentic Hanoi cuisine.
