Henrick was a little reserved at first whilst he was getting to know us. He was equally knowledgable about food, drink as well as the surrounding area which was the student area namely the Latin quarter. We went to three food establishments and ate cheese, ham and pate at the first restaurant, a creme brûlée at the second restaurant followed by a sweet pancake in the third restaurant. As I have a sweet tooth I steered us towards the sweet foods but the tour was flexible. Henrick’s English was very good as my French was very limited. Both my partner and me enjoyed the food tour. We had three experiences with guides, two were fantastic and one (this one) very poor... He was only interested in saving money, pushing us to always choose the cheapest options, modifying "by mistake" our preferences to save 50c, eating our cheeses and so on... A VERY POOR and squallid experience. We would suggest to choose any other guide instead of him, we met REALLY GREAT GUIDES in our other tours...Very poor experience

My wife and I did three tours with Juliette on our recent trip to Paris. I have reviewed the Foodie Montmartre tour separately. We also did Paris Like a Local and Bistrot Wine and Cheese. Juliette is everything you could want in a host. We felt immediately comfortable with her upon first meeting her, and by our last tour it was like we were enjoying an evening with a good friend. She far exceeded our expectations. She was full of knowledge and general advice on Paris and what to see/do during our trip. I was hoping not to have to write this review. I emailed with locals twice and never heard a reply back concerning the below. Jerome was very nice and very patient with us due to our delayed arrival with construction and street closures. Anyhow, what we paid for and what we received was completely different. Our host as friendly as he was he had absolutely no knowledge of cheese or wine. I mean none! We were suppose to have 3 wine pairing but had only two glasses of wine. We were suppose to have a meat platter and never received one. We also paid full price for our children so this was an expensive outing. Our host could not even give us a recommendation for dinner. We were so disappointed in this and the false advertising. I tried to contact with locals twice to simply ask for a refund of the food and wine we did not receive and never got a reply. So sadly this was a complete wast of hundreds of dollars, time and customer service. Wine and cheese pairing

We originally arrived at the wrong spot, but Jay was quick to come find us. My husband and I both love hearing about history and Jay was very knowledgable and excited to tell us what he knew about France’s long history. We appreciated his flexibility - when we were more excited about Camembert cheese than crepes, he modified the tour slightly to accommodate us. The Latin quarter is very nice and we would have not known it existed without being shown around. Overall, a wonderful time!Great night out with Jay!

Giedre provided the best tour I have ever had. My experience in the past included group tours only. The custom feature of Withlocals made a monstrous difference. I took my 15 year old granddaughter to Paris. It was only the three of us for the entire 3 hour tour. Giedre is also a personal stylist which my granddaughter was thrilled to have! We had a brilliant time with Abi. She is a kind and keen ambassador for Paris and was excellent with my seven year old - tuning into her interests and keeping her entertained with lots of information and questions. Without Abi we would not have seen so many incredible buildings and unique parts of the city such as Notre Dame and the Pantheon (impromptu detour to see one of the original metres was also very my appreciated). If we come back, we'll definitely try and book with her again to explore another part of Paris. We arrived jet-lagged and bleary-eyed and she immediately adapted her tour to accommodate our needs, waiting while we got coffee, shortening the walking distance, and taking it slow for us. I did not know what to expect on booking our walk in the evening in Paris. We started in an area I was not familiar with. Izabele was there at the start point. She was enchanting, and engaging. We thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour of Montmarte with Olivia. There were 3 of us (two 21 year olds and a 50 year old). Olivia took us on a great tour, hitting key sites, sharing the history of Montmarte and Paris, letting us go at our desired pace (stopping to go inside churches when we wanted and to do a Photo Booth on the street), with a few delicious snacks along the way and terrific recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Alpha planned us an amazing tour of Montmatre (the hill). The food was naturally great, but what made the experience was Alpha’s genuine knowledge and insights. Alexia took our family on an incredible food tour.
