We had an amazing time with Pedro on the drinks and bites tour. He first asked us some questions to taylor the tour to our interests and everything about ithe tour was great. It was like hanging out with an old friend while enjoying amazing wines and bites. He was interested, friendly and explained us everything we wanted to know about port and he gave us great tips. If i could guve a 12 i would! We had a fantastic evening of local food and drinks with great regional and local area information. Showed us where the locals eat the best foods for just a few euros and you’ll have to book her to find the most unique way they serve olives here. Thank you for such a great night! Miguel was awesome! Very friendly and knowledgeable! I would give him a 10/10. Only reason I gave less is that some places were closed or closing. They should not schedule tours this late on days when things close early, like Mondays. We didn’t get our last tasting (flaming chorizo) at our last stop because the kitchen closed. I recommend this tour but be mindful of the day and how late you start. Great tour!

Our Drinks & Bites tour with Ana was so much fun. She took us to three bars (each increasingly off-the-beaten path) and arranged amazing vegetarian food for us at each stop. She also introduced us to three different local drinks and explained each one. Ana was very generous with her time and the tour went well over the allotted 2.5 hours. But the best part was the conversation. We learned so much about life in Portugal and Ana patiently answered all of the questions we had. Ana provided my family of 5 adults with a delightful wine, port and small plates tour of the true Porto - the Porto loved and enjoyed by locals. Ana took us off the beaten path traveled by tourists to taverns and restaurants frequented by Porto residents, where she taught us about the culture of the city. She introduced us to Xiripiti, and provided us with a hand drawn map of Portugal's wine regions. As an Ambassador for Porto, Ana did more than simply provide the tour. Instead, she provided us with guidance for the remainder of our stay in Porto, including a recommendation for an amazing Fado performance with dinner, and a walking tour guidebook to traditional Porto business locations that we followed the next day. Ana was an excellent tour guide for my family of 5 adults in Munich. Her personality was effervescent, her knowledge of the sites we walked to was excellent, she shared fascinating insights and stories about the history of the citÿ and the current demographics of Munich. Also, she kept in mind that, as 70 year old woman with some mild physical challenges, I needed to go at a slightly slower pace without being overly concerned when we were climbing stairs, etc. I will use With Locals again with confidence. Pedro was amazing, he started to tell us something about the places we were visiting, the city, etc and then, since we were very interested he managed to go deeper in the description of Porto's architecture, history, wines, foods. He has a very interesting background, his English is perfect, he also suggested us some tour of the Douro Valley and of Portugal in general, since we were going on a car trip all over the country. Don't try to make him be fond of Coimbra though, his words will be absolutely respectfull of the city, but his face will tell a very different story!! We absolutely recommend Pedro, if we will have the chance in the future to meet him again, we surely will!! Thank you Pedro, we already liked Porto, but thanks to you we end up loving it!Amazing night with a super interesting local

Pedro is simply awesome. He's flexible and adjusts on the fly. He's very well connected in the city and introduced us to some really great people during the tour. I hate to use the term "tour" in that it didn't feel like that. It was like a good friend showing us the best of the city. Because of him, Oporto surprised me. It's a really great city, with great people and a great vibe. He was super communicative, took the time to learn a little about us and what we were looking for. We were introduced to traditional as well as more modern places and food. He's very knowledgeable and frankly fun to be with. Our tour guide was Ana and I want to say a huge thank you, she was amazing. My sister and I had the best time with her. She is so knowledgeable about Porto and all the food and drink we had. Pedro has been an awesome host and the highlight of our stay in Porto. We started our tour at a local bar and had some great wine as well as some cheese and olives. Pedro is a wine enthusiast and could answer all our questions and has an incredible knowledge of wine and the city. We then headed to a modern but traditional restaurant and tried some awesome wine wich we would never had ordered without the suggestion of Pedro. What a great way to begin our weekend in Porto. Luis is full of interesting facts and information about the city - he obviously has a deep love for it which comes across in everything he says.
