We had a great experience doing the drinks and nibbles tour in Trastevere with Simone. It was a very relaxed, yet informative experience. Simone took us to interesting places, where the food and drink was of very good quality. He also was happy to chat to us about whatever we liked - a lot being the Italian way of life. We should also say - he was careful to check he was taking us to places we would like and was happy to change his plans if we wanted. (Which we didn’t - his plans were great!) While this tour seemed like a great concept, it ended up falling short of our expectations. The food selections were basic street foods, although none stood out as exceptional finds. And the drinks were a partial beer, small aperol spritz and shot of Amaro. In the end it was a low value tour, especially compared to the 10 Tastings Tour, which cost less and offered much more. Withlocals should consider redesigning this offering. Claudia was interesting and savvy, and someone who would be great to hang out with, but we all felt she seemed distracted and rushed. Great Concept, Not So Great Value

Mijn nicht Caroline en ikzelf hadden een food- en drinktour gereserveerd met Sara. Het was voor ons beide onze eerste keer in Rome. Het was van begin tot einde voor ons beide een fantastische ervaring. Zij heeft ons tal van lokale lekkernijen leren kennen met een uitgebreide uitleg en ook een paar prachtige gebouwen en wetenswaardigheden die we tijdens onze tour passeerde. Ook heeft ze ons een aantal hele goede adresjes leren kennen die je anders als gewoon toerist gewoon voorbij wandelt. Ikzelf ben vanwege knieproblemen niet zo snel om te wandelen maar zij paste zich en de tour perfect aan mijn tempo en mogelijkheden aan. Sara was echt een schat van een host tijdens de ganse duur van onze tour. Als we in de toekomst naar Rome terugkeren staat een tour met Sara zeker op de agenda. Dikke pluim. We went to Rome with a group of 5 people. We went with our daughter and our parents. Sara asked in advance if we had already been in Rome and what our interests were so she could adjust the tour on our interests. Sara is an amazing person and she connected with my 70-year old father as well as with our 15-year old daughter. Sara knows a lot about Rome and she explains everything very passionately. This private tour is nice because you have a guide for yourself who can adjust the trip on what you want to see in Rome. Sara took her time and we learned a lot about Rome without having the feeling of being rushed. We had 3 stops with drinks & bites. We weren't hungry anymore after these 3 stops. Sara also gave us a lot of information about nice restaurants and nice places to visit in Rome if we had some time. Rome was the start of the last part of my month long journey of Italy. Having travelled the north, Florence, Veneto & Tuscany and all the way south to Napoli/Amalfi my expectations were super high. 1st day in Rome I needed to understand my way around arriving late that afternoon. A very different surrounding than the countryside of Veneto/Tuscany/Amalfi coastline, I could not have pictured a better start the first night, chilling and walking around the lively Trastevere with Sara. Enjoying the panoramic view of Rome by dusk is tantalizing. Food is a great part of every vacation. The bar was set high for Sara to match. But when in Rome do as Romans 😎. The small tastings and gelato 🍧 were superb!! A great mix of energies/vibes, that is Trastevere. I would very recommend you book Sara for a great tasting and introduction to this eternal City.
