Sena tailored our tour to our tastes perfectly and showed us some beyond-the-crowds places which we enjoyed immensely. Sena is knowledgeable and a lovely host. We had such a lovely time with Sena. She took us around Shibuya area for gyoza sushi and sake. My wife has food allergies and Sena checked with with us ahead of time to make sure we would not eat prohibited foods AND she confirmed with the restaurant the day of the tour which made us feel very comfortable and was appreciated. We fully enjoyed walking around the main streets and of highlights of Shibuya with Sena. The area is vibrant and crowded, Sena guided us to the most iconic spots like the Shibuya crossing, we saw it from above and did the crossing in person. We visited some nice comercial areas all reachable from the train station underground. We walked around the old streets were authentic small food booths are located. We went sake tasting. We had a fantastic tour with Seden. She showed us around a part of Tokyo we wouldn’t have normally visited as tourists, including a beautiful local park. But the highlight was the food. She took us to a range of street stalls and neighbourhood restaurants and helped us understand the different flavours and styles - which helped us make more of the rest of our time in Japan. Our only problem was that the food was so delicious it was hard to save space for all the different tastings - you will definitely not go hungry on this tour. Seden was also full on information and insight from her time in Japan - highly recommended.

Sena was a delight to be with and walk the streets of the Kichijoji sector of Tokyo. The hustle and bustle as the evening progressed was magical. The food stops were perfect but truth be told we were full after the first three stops. Here's a tip, skip lunch before embarking. We found a way to fight through it and were rewarded at the end with dessert - with fish shaped, cream filled pancakes. As none of us spoke Japanese, Sena's English was flawless and only surpassed by her energy and willingness to satisfy our curiosity and answer all of our questions. She even humored us with a beer run to a local market/convenience store which he drank al fresco at a local park under cover of night. It was my first experience hiring a local guide through With Locals and it was the best welcome we could have hoped for to see Tokyo for the first time. We were a group of 7 friends, gentlemen and ladies and we all had a fantastic time, thanks to Sena. Arigato!A delightful walk.

My wife, son, and I recently visited Japan for the first time. It was exciting, and potentially a bit overwhelming! I've used withlocals on other trips and fortunately came across Sena as we looked into hiring a guide to show us around Shibuya. It ended up becoming one of the highlights of the trip! Sena reached out to us before we arrived, and graciously came up with a nice itinerary tailored to what my wife and 13 yo son were interested in. She made us feel very comfortable, and we had a nice, authentic few hours with her. The time flew by, and when it was over we realized we should have booked her for a second outing! Oh well, next time. Sometimes when you are tourists in a new place, hiring a guide sounds good, but sometimes there is an awkwardness having a stranger showing you around. Definitely not the case with Sena. There was no language barrier, and she gave my wife some great suggestions for her specific shopping goals. We had a wonderful time with Sena! She speaks English very well and did a great job answering our questions and explaining the food and culture of Japan. We took the tour before heading to the airport and had all of our luggage with us. Sena helped us find nearby storage for our luggage as well as navigate the trading routes back to the airport after the tour. None of that was part of the tour but Sena was so kind and helpful. The food tour itself was awesome. Pace yourself! There are so many foods to try! Sena did a great job of introducing us to a wide range of interesting and delicious foods.
