What a wonderful way to spend our 6-hr evening layover in Dubai! Great directions on where to meet. No time was lost (Customs was so smooth and quick btw, we were able to start the tour 30 min after landing!) Sandy was so knowledgeable of EVERYTHING!! We booked this night tour of Dubai after reading the reviews and were not disappointed. Sandy was a gracious host and tour guide. He was very communicative to our arrive and took any anxiety we might have had by giving us clear and specifics on meeting location and what to expect upon arrival. After following the sign with our name he took us on a very informative, entertaining and educational 4 hour tour of Dubai including ALL of the highlights but also a tour of Old Dubai so we could experience the changing cultures. Everything from start to finish was wonderful. Sandy met us at the Airport with a fantastic smile right on time. We were taken to a brand-new Toyota which was luxurious, met the driver who was wonderful the whole tour. We not only saw the old and new of Dubai, but we also had a boat trip across to the canal. Before the boat ride he introduced us to a "not so spicy" kebab, which was delicious. The number of photos we got was incredible as the driver kept stopping at all the top spots. We encourage to book Sandy & Jose for a tour especially a "Night Tour", best way to see Dubai. We had a 11-and-a-half-hour layover, it certainly made the time go by having this tour. We had a very good overview of Dubai at night with Sandy who conducted the tour and his cousin who did the driving . Sandy was on WhatsApp even before we left home and very punctual in meeting us . They went over and beyond to show us as much as they could. It was great as we just didn’t drive only, walked as well as had a boat ride.They were very friendly and answered all our questions . Sandy and Gomez do a great job showing the sights of Dubai. Sandy knows a ton of information and is a solid tour guide. However, he did have trouble outside of his comfort zone (aka we asked for recommendations on where to eat at 2am, and he wasn't that helpful). It is worth noting that our trip had two big challenges: it rained (rarely ever rains in Dubai so this negatively impacted the experience) and I fell asleep (I was too ambitious thinking I could do this trip from 1am-8am). That said, I still think it was clear to us that Sandy was an awesome guide - but that this tour is probably a bit more expensive than it is worth.Solid tour

I had a long overnight layover in Dubai on my way to Tanzania and decided to book a tour to see Dubai’s sights. Sandy and Gomez had excellent communication before, during and after the tour. The van was air conditioned with water, and it was great to stretch my legs after such a long flight. I was able to see SO much of Dubai in an efficient amount of time. Sandy and Gomez shared a lot of Dubai’s history, pointing out things and tidbits I never would have know otherwise. They took excellent photos of me, too! Essential as a solo traveler. They dropped me off at my hotel after the tour. I highly recommend Sandy and Gomez for any Dubai tour needs - if I ever cross through again, I will reach out to them!Great Tour!

We had a 10 hour overnight layover in Dubai and this tour made it all worthwhile. Sandy kept track of our flight and kept in constant contact - he was waiting to collect us from the airport upon arrival. We were driven around in a lovely clean, air conditioned car and visited every iconic and beautiful spot in the city. We were even treated to a short boat ride and a sample of the local street food. Sandy was so knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel very welcome. At the end of the 4 hour trip we were dropped back to the airport terminal. Wonderful! I booked with Gomez and Sandy last minute on my layover as I wanted to see some highlights of Dubai. I booked at 4pm and my booking was confirmed within minutes, Sandy organised to pick me up from my hotel at 6pm. I was picked up in a comfortable, air conditioned van. When Sandy and I would get out to walk through an area or look at something, Gomez would be at the other end ready to pick us up and take us to the next place! I was able to see so much in such a short time frame, they really helped me make the most of my time in Dubai. The whole time I was with them I felt safe and comfortable. In the time I was with them I was able to see the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall (including the fountain show), the Frame, old Dubai, new Dubai, camels, the Spice and Gold Souks (we took an Abra across the creek) and so so much more. I ticked off all the items on my list and then some. Sandy is so knowledgeable and was able to tell me everything about each place we visited. We also had some delicious Chicken Shawarma’s. I would definitely recommend booking with Gomez and Sandy if you’re wanting to make the most out of your layover in Dubai!Amazing!

Sruthy Gomez provided a great evening tour. My husband and I had a great time and felt so comfortable with Sruthy - like hanging out with an old friend. She was raised in Dubai and had so many great stories to share about how Dubai has evolved. She also educated us about local customs and made sure we were comfortable with the dos and don’ts! We felt extremely safe wandering around Dubai after dark. It was a great to get a sense of what was worth further exploring on our next layover (tomorrow!) I personally loved our visit to the spice souk. There are so many assertive shopkeepers - It would have been intimidating without her! If you have a chance to tour with Sruthy - do it! A friend and I had an 9 hours layover in Dubai on our way to Bali. I wanted to do something with that time. Although, I did not think it was possible considering we got to Dubai at around midnight. We communicated through email and set up all the particulars. He picked us up at the airport with his driver and off we went. He took us to many wonderful sites and showed us the best that Dubai had to offer. He also took incredible pictures for us through out the night. Me and my colleagues arrived to Dubai from a business trip in India. Normally, we should have spent more than 9 hours at the airport before we could fly back home. Spending 9 hours at an airport would be obviously boring and you cannot get a good sleep there so we chose to have a city tour in Dubai with Gomez in the evening. Gomez was flexible, he checked our flight continuously and as soon as we were ready for the tour he picked us up at the airport then the journey began. We passed through the city by a comfortable car and each one of us got a bottle of mineral water. Gomez was very informative and we could have thoughtful conversations about the culture in Dubai. By the end of the 4 hour long city tour we managed to visit the main attractions of Dubai. I had a great tour with Gomez and his driver, Satish! I was met at the airport promptly upon landing and seated comfortably in an air conditioned van. Gomez shared how the tour would unfold, offering a suggested itinerary then asking if there was anything in particular I wanted to see. His proposed itinerary was very comprehensive and he was pleased I had made an advanced reservation to go up the Burg Khalifa tower. The city was presented in an organized way, with visits to the 3 major markets (gold, spice, & textile), a quick water taxi ride, the renowned Dubai Mall with its indoor ski slope and beautiful fountains, and a drive out onto Palm Island and the beach with the stunning Dubai skyline begging to be photographed. I was particularly pleased at their willingness to wait while I was whisked up the Burg Khalifa, allowing me ample time to soak up the cites from high above the city. I never felt rushed and was treated with respect at all times. I was delivered back to the airport with more that enough time to spare. My tour was, in actuality, longer than the advertised 4 hours. If you have a connection in Dubai like me, just call José Gómez, it doesn't matter if it's a night stop. I was on my flight taking off from India, right on the plane, thinking about how I could go around the city during my connection in Dubai, and I found Gomez, I wrote and immediately received a confirmation to pick me up at the airport. We had a great time with Jose. I had mentioned that we would like to sample some local food and to go to the top of the Burj Khalifa. Jose helped me choose the correct time for the visit to the Burj Khalifa, as well as took us to a great spot for some delicious Shawarma. My son and I have been wanting a second one ever since. In five short hours, Jose was able to show us a lot of Dubai. I really can't believe how many things we saw. I looked at a lot of tours prior to booking this one. I am so glad I spent the extra money and booked with Jose. With Jose, you get a driver and a very knowledgable guide that will customize your experience. From watching the water-fountain show from the top and bottom of the Burj Khalifa to the Spice Souk to Palm Islands to riding across the inlet on a private boat to putting our feet in the Persian Gulf, our 5 hours in Dubai was incredible. I initially contacted Gomez almost a year before our 9 hour layover in Dubai. We almost weren't going to do the tour as we had heard crazy stories about Dubai as far as law enforcement being very strict and numerous other things. A few weeks before our trip Gomez reached out one more time and my wife and I decided to do the tour. From the very beginning Gomez was super friendly and there was never a moment of feeling uncomfortable. He quickly calmed us of our fears for safety letting us know Dubai is the second safest place in the world. He and his driver were professional and had a wealth of knowledge on Dubai. Gomez took us basically everywhere there is to go in 6 hours the whole time teaching us of the culture, laws, religion, government, etc.. We went to the top of the Burg Khalifa after watching the water show at the Dubai mall. He took us to basically every place you've ever seen on TV or on an advertisement for Dubai in a very short time without ever feeling rushed or hurried. At the end of the trip he actually took us to the beach at midnight to feel the ocean water which was almost 100 degrees! Overall, I highly recommend Gomez and his tour. There's no other way to see so much, and learn so much in such a short time. We honestly feel like we've seen all of Dubai and can scratch that off our list of places we one day want to visit. SO thankful I came upon this tour with Jose Gomez for our 9 hour layover in Dubai. It was amazing - can't imagine doing a tour ANY OTHER WAY! You must book with Jose if you are in Dubai. We are well traveled and this was one of the top tours we have ever taken. 10 days later and I'm still absorbing the wealth of information provided by Jose. Dubai is fascinating. SO glad we chose a stop over in Dubai and left the airport to see what it offers. I communicated with Jose weeks before and he always got right back to me. Very reliable. First off, Jose picked us up early since our flight from Chicago arrived early. This was very appreciated after 14 hours in an airplane. He has a driver and air conditioned van waiting for you when you exit the airport. It's hot in Dubai but the driver will pick you up at every spot so you never are too hot! He is VERY knowledgable and gives you so much information on Dubai, it's people, architecture and everything else. I asked lots of questions and he was very patient and answered all our questions. We had him tour us to all the major spots in Dubai. Too many to list ;) I wondered about the safety - he is right there with you and shoo's away any sellers. Never ever did we feel unsafe. He's got perfect English and enjoyable to talk with. What came across is how hard working he is. You will never feel rushed, he will explain everything and take you to any spot you like. We even had him take us to the beach as we didn't believe him about the Persian Gulf water temperature - yup, he was correct, it was bath water warm. Gomez's tour was worth every single penny. The most impressive thing was the flawless communication and stress free experience. He picked us up from the airport with a private driver which allowed him to fully interact with us and tell us history and stats of Dubai, and also point out the most amazing buildings. Sometimes it can be hard to plan what to do on a long-ish layover, especially as a solo female traveler, but I found out about Gomez and took an overnight layover tour. While a tour was pretty pricey for me, I'm really glad I did it. Everything was completely hassle-free. I was very happy to find out I could even bring my luggage along on the tour. We had an 8 hour late evening layover in Dubai so wanted to see the sights without any stress. Gomez tracked our flight which arrived one hour early. He was right there for us and picked us up in his air conditioned van. Thank goodness as it was 105F at 7 pm. Gomez had a separate driver so he could concentrate on his commentary, and we were able to get out and walk and the driver would pick us back up again and be off to the next attraction. Highly recommended!Great Dubai layover tour.

Gomez provided an excellent nighttime layover tour of Dubai! Despite our plane being delayed two hours and not landing until ~10:30 PM, he was there to pick us up at the airport. He rushed us over to see the Burj Khalifa fountains (the last show of the night and he didn’t want us to miss it!), and away we went on the tour. The breadth of the tour was great - we had many different stops. Gomez did a great job helping us learn and understand the UAE history and culture. We would highly recommend Gomez for anyone looking for a comprehensive tour of Dubai!Great late-night tour of New Dubai

My girlfriend and I had a middle of the night 8 hour layover in Dubai. We booked a 4 hour driving tour with Gomez and it was a great way to spend time between flights. Gomez is friendly, easy to talk to and told us a lot about the city as he showed us its most iconic sites.Good way to kill a layover.

We booked a one day Dubai tour with Gomez. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. He was very helpful and responded to queries even few days before the tour, so i could better prepare my family for the tour. He was ahead on time and waited for us at the airport and was very accommodating to our schedule requests. I purposefully selected a flight with a long layover in Dubai because I was wanted to see the country before heading back home to the states. I was disappointed to see that there were little to no layover tour options for late night arrivals, but then I found Jose Gomez on Withlocals.com! I was impressed with Jose's reviews and decided to book a tour and WOW what a great experience! Jose is incredibly professional, he kept track of my flight and sent me his exact pick up location along with pictures of his pick up sign and his face! Upon meeting Jose, it felt like I was visiting an old friend. He was charming, funny, friendly and knowledgable. He took my boyfriend and I to so many amazing places, took great pictures, and even treated us to some great street food.
