Our group (consisting of 6 adults) booked an "all day tour" of Dubai from 9AM to 4PM with Sruthy. Unfortunately, she injuried her leg prior to our arrival and could not perform the tour, but sent her husband to take her place. He did a very very good job of showing us all the sights. He was very friendly, gracious, and accommodating. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He made it a point to ensure we saw everything Sruthy had promised we would see on the tour. Overall, we had a great tour. It should be noted that the vehicle he arrived in (with a designated driver) was excellent. It was clean, modern, and very spacious (for the 6 of us). Dubai Tour

We learned a lot of new things, e.g. that there are 99 different types of dates in Dubai, that Dubai used to be a resting place for pilgrims to Mecca, that the Persians brought spices to the Arabian Peninsula and that despite different cultures we can laugh about so many things together. Sandy stepped in for Scruthy as she had just had a baby but it was a perfect handover. Sandy is a fun, spirited and expert guy full of authentic stories about life in Dubai and lots of helpful tips about how to navigate the city. We enjoyed every minute with him! Gomez, Sandy & Sruthy communicated well via whatsapp and was quite understanding when the group wasn't at the meeting place on time. It was a very engaging food tour where the group was able to try a lot of different food items with enough time to look around should you choose to do so in between meals. Though most items were yummy, we definitely loved the chicken and the salad dressing.Great experience

Wir haben eine großartige Food Tour in Dubai in der Altstadt gemacht. Die Tour war ein tolles Erlebnis mit vielen Leckereien, die wir zum Teil sonst nie probiert hätten. Wir haben den Gold-Souk und den Gewürz-Souk besucht, wo wir einige schöne Schätze gefunden und gekauft haben. Wir haben Eis aus Kamelmilch probiert, das sehr cremig und erfrischend war. Es gab tolle Snacks in verschiedenen Restaurants, die man unbedingt mal wieder aufsuchen sollte, wenn man wieder in Dubai zu Gast ist. Dazu gab es eine Wassertaxifahrt über den nächtlichen Dubai-Creek, der wunderschön beleuchtet war. Unser Guide war sehr sympathisch, witzig und informativ. Er hat uns viel über die Geschichte und Kultur von Dubai erzählt und uns viele Tipps gegeben. Es war ein fantastischer Abend mit einem tollen Guide, dem wir jedem empfehlen können, der die kulinarische Vielfalt von Dubai entdecken möchte.Großartige Foodtour

Sandy was excellent. He was very accommodating to my wife who is vegetarian. Great small restaurants with good food. Also gave us a good presentation of the area and its history. The only negative was the last stop which was the Arabian Tea House which was big and crowded. We would have preferred a small place like the others.Great food on a private tour

Although we got off to a rocky start as the host did not get or see the booking confirmed 3 hours earlier on the same day, and this cost me an hour waiting at the meeting point melting in the heat, whilst trying to converse with the chat agent. It was frustrating not being able to actually talk to someone, rather that a chat agent whom your not sure it virtual or real. But after a rocky start, they managed to locate the host who eventually assigned the job to another host closer to our location. After approx 90mins of chaos, we finally met the new host “Sandy” who was a delight and absolutely made up for the rocky start so we enjoyed the rest of the day. Great job ✅🙏Rocky start

We were curious about customs and daily life in Dubai and our guide gave us a lot to think about. I was finally taught how to make falafels and hummus properly - they were really amazing. Sruthy is so lovely and friendly! The instructions were easy to follow and the recipe speaks for itself! We are still in COVID 19 isolation. Five families got together virtually to learn some new dishes. It was a lot of fun. Sruthy was a wonderful teacher. Sruthy gave my family and in-laws a virtual tour of Dubai for Father's Day. First, she was very patient and helpful when my in-laws were having some technical difficulties. Second, she's just an extremely pleasant and thoughtful tour guide. She put together a presentation using maps, google earth, videos, photos that not only introduced us to the major sites and markets but gave us a sense of the geopolitical background of Dubai. She shared her personal perspective as a resident and showed us how to make Arabic coffee in her own kitchen. We followed along and it was delicious. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it! The bonus is that even though we were socially distanced in our own homes (North Carolina, Florida and Ohio) we were able to share a mini vacation together. Well done and informative

Our family is planning a trip to Dubai next year. We took a virtual tour with Sruthy to learn more about possible places we should visit. Sruthy was really fun to chat and cook with! My friend and I got to take this class together from different cities. We made mahalabia and hummus (so delicious) and really enjoyed Sruthy's company and learning a bit more about Dubai. I also appreciate how accommodating Sruthy was, helping guide us with the right ingredients, maintaining regular communication before our class and being so flexible on timing. Definitely recommend this class as a way to virtually travel while we're all still at home. And I can't wait to have Sruthy show us around Dubai in-person when we can travel again! So much fun!

We are really enjoying taking family "trips" online. Its a great way for us to connect from afar (we are spread out over 5 states in the U.S.) and especially since our mom is isolated, the chance to get together for a fun hour or two has been great. We have been to Barcelona and Rome and this week we went with Sruthy to Dubai. Sruthy's tour was, by far, the best online experience we have had yet. She has really put a lot of thought into her tour of Old Dubai with a taste of modern Dubai. Having visited Dubai many times we had never taken the time to do the historic cultural part of Dubai, so during lockdown we thought we could do a virtual tour. Sruthy was a warm and very friendly tour guide. She had prepared so many resources for us to see around the Spice and Gold Souks. She has so much knowledge about Dubai, so it was fascinating talking to her and learning so much. Sruthy was also so generous with her time and went well over the 1.5 hours. She was so efficient sending us the link and the ingredients to make coffee in the traditional way. Making the coffee was fun and my husband adored the different taste. It is a shame everything is locked down and we could not go outside to look around but when we visit Dubai again we will get in touch with Sruthy and go on a real tour with her. Wow, we had a fantastic experience learning about Dubai with Sruthy! We traveled with her from our living room and learned so much about history and culture. Hi all, We had a very short layover in Dubai and really want to get a chance to see the city but not be late for our flight out to Tanzania. This year I had planned my first trip to the Middle East. But due to current conditions (coronavirus) I had to make alternate plans. So when I searched for virtual tours, I came across Scruthy. She is from Dubai, 3rd generation and is a chef and tour guide in her city. Nice introduction to the old city of Dubai and general traditions with regards to food and coffee, and clothing apparel and some interesting laws. You've seen the pictures of tall, shiny buildings, but I was more interested in earlier days of when Dubai came to be. Today it is very modern and clean. One law is that you can not litter otherwise it is punishable by big penalty. It is ruled by monarchy not democracy. I recommend signing up days in advance so you can buy ingredients and learn to make Chai or Arabic coffee along with Sruthy. I look forward to visiting in person one day!My first virtual trip was to Dubai!

We had a limited amount of time so the best way to learn about a city and it's culture. We wouldn't have know what do or where to go. The best option was to have a personal tour guide.
