We had an early morning tour of old town with Mia and it was well worth it. Early is good because you miss the cruise ship crowds. She provided us with recommendations for lunch in old town as well as the greater Dubrovnik region which were exceptional. Her knowledge of the history of the area was great and we learnt a lot from the tour. She provided us with a local snack and a coffee which was great to fuel us for the walk. We landed in Dubrovnik on a Saturday for a week, so Mia's walk on the Monday morning was perfect! Mia's tour of the Dubrovnik old town was fun, interesting and definitely worth the time to join. She knows the Old Town and the rest of Dubrovnik very well, providing the history of the town and area, whilst being able to help us understand more about the war and the impact on the area. Mia also brought us one of the best chocolate croissants I have been lucky enough to try. She also provided us with suggestions on where else to visit in the town, the best place to get onto the wall, a good coffee place and where to eat. Mia also made sure we knew where to grab our souvenirs, the local shops where the souvenirs are locally produced. This was one of the best local tours I have done to day... We did an early morning private tour of Dubrovnik with Mia. It was a beautiful cool morning and the town was not yet crowded. Mia is from Dubrovnik and shared her experience of living through the 1990's. She pointed out places affected by this war. During our stroll, we stopped for coffee and a delicious treat! Mia also showed us local restaurants, where gelato and desserts are made fresh every morning, the local resident's beer hangout and the locally owned shops to visit. We visited all of them the next day and were not disappointed. Mia has a great personality, too! I definitely encourage you to walk the Old Town of Durbrovnik early in the morning with Mia!!Excellent Morning with Mia!

If you're visiting Dubrovnik, hiring Mia as your local guide is an absolute must! From the very beginning, her pre-trip communication was clear and prompt, setting the stage for a seamless experience. Following her advice to start our tour early in the morning was a game-changer. We explored most of the old city before the crowds and heat set in, making the experience far more enjoyable. Mia excels at pointing out local gems for coffee, gelato, and meals, ensuring we enjoyed the best Dubrovnik has to offer. She also arranged a car and driver to transfer us to Trogir, suggesting stops in Ston and Mali Ston along the way. Thoughtfully, she made a lunch reservation in Ston for us to sample the famous oysters, which was a delightful experience. Even though we arrived in Dubrovnik after a Split / Dubrovnik cruise, which included a 1 hour walking tour, we decided on an early morning tour because early morning is the best time in any popular tourist town. We were greeted by Mia and immediately felt at ease in our small group of 4. It was easy to ask questions and discuss things that were of interest to us while Mia filled in the interesting history of the town. Mia also gave us some good spots to visit, local restaurants with local specialty dishes and what was happening while we were in town. One of those was when were the best time to climb the city walls and the fact that if we walked that afternoon we would see the water polo finals being played in the harbour. It was exciting to watch but the locals were definitely more excited with the smoke canisters and hooters. Information you don’t get with a large group in the heat of the day and the crowds. I booked Mia for a city historical walking tour. She was very accommodating as my mum can’t walk too far so adjusted the timings for us with no problem. We stopped on our cruise ship for a day in Dubrovnik. We were easily met by Mia and did her 2 hour tour. She was wonderful, and this tour was perfect for us. We obtained a lot of knowledge about Dubrovnik and it’s history. We got a very good feel for the Old Town and also saw many Game of Thrones filming sites. Also, Mia gave us specific directions on our map for: Cable Car (must do) walking the Walls (must do), souvenirs, gelato, visits to nearby islands, etc. We would love to go back to Dubrovnik and we’d schedule Mia for sure!
