Our group of 6 loved exploring the Alhambra palace with Ana. Ana was so informative and interesting. We all loved learning the history of Granada and also some really good recommendations of places to eat and things to do like the flamenco dancing. Our group of varied ages 20-50years all enjoyed themselves. We also had some of the local food and wine with Ana which was so delicious. Hello fellow Travelers…I usually don’t posts reviews unless my experience was exceptional. If anyone wants to have a great tour guide experience in Granada…call Ana right now & plan your trip. I was on a cruise that stopped in Motril, Spain (45 min drive from Granada), & did not offer a tour of the Alhambra…However, I said to myself…how can I pass up a chance to visit a world famous landmark??? I reached out to Ana & she made it happen… She arranged a private car at the dock, provided a walking tour of the historic Granada neighborhood, took us through the Alhambra palace & had us back on the dock flawlessly for a reasonably priced fee. We toured the Alhambra, Generalife Gardens and Sultan’s summer house with Ana yesterday. It was just Ana, my spouse, and I. The overall experience was excellent. Ana helped guide us through the ticketing process well before our tour and gave us guidance for how to best get from our lodging to the meet point. She met us at the agreed time and put us at ease right away. She has an easygoing personality but is quite knowledgeable and authoritative about all things Alhambra. She kind of let us set the pace which was nice because there is so much to see and so much history to soak in. Ana knows all the history, all the people, and the techniques the architects and artisans used to construct this wonder. And, she helped bring the place to life with attention-getting stories. When our tour ended, Ana took time to point out a few locations within the Alhambra we didn’t visit but, based on our questions, she thought would warrant our time and attention. Tour la Alhambra with an Art Historian – What Better Experience! Ana gave us an amazing tour of la Alhambra. There is no shortage of things to see or ground to cover. In 4 hours, though, Ana was able to take us to all of the main sights (Gardens, Summer palace, Nasrid Palaces, Charles V Palace, and the Alcazaba) without any of it ever feeling rushed. She was able to give us a wealth of information about the art, the history, and the art history. She was also deft at helping us avoid the crowds – which is no small feat in la Alhambra. Being an art historian herself – and a bit of a historian too, we suspect – Ana was able to make the history and the art come alive. My daughter and I booked Ana for a morning visit to the Alhambra and were glad to have her company. She was very easy to get on with and good at answering our questions and pointing out details in the Nasrid palaces that we would have missed had we been wandering around on our own. Having her to explain the significance of various features helped make our experience of the complex even more memorable. Having a personal guide is relatively expensive but I felt it worthwhile for a visit to such a special place. Ana was good at communicating, ensuring we knew where to find her on the day, and at the end of our tour kindly emailed us recommendations of some places to eat in Granada. You can easily spend most of the day at the Alhambra and I would recommend Ana as your guide for at least some of that time. An enjoyable and informative morning

The Alhambra is exquisite and having someone who can share stories, context, and things to look out for makes the experience so much better. Ana is a mine of information and explains things beautifully. We were a varied family group ranging from granny (90) to grandchildren (7). We absolutely loved our Alhambra tour with Ana! She took us all around the various sites and explained each part of the Alhambra in detail while making sure we got in the best pictures for memories. Also, we were able to skip the lines and get the best highlights from each area of the Alhambra.
