We were simply delighted with Eligio. The tour was very interesting, informative, yet never boring or overwhelming. Not only did we get a good general impression of the city but also had a chance to discover hidden gems. We met Eligió on a stormy evening (thankfully it let up), we ducked into an enoteca while the storm passed. Eli was incredibly personable and knowledgeable about the history of Zurich. He gave us a unique insider only tour, with a special key that unlocked fascinating doors in the city. He gave us a special Zurich treat to take home. This was our 4th Withlocals tour in 2 weeks. We did tours in Rome, Venice and Milan, all were above our expectations. I believe Zurich is a new destination for Withlocals. When we booked our tour there were no locals to choose from only Lena & Friends. Now there are 3 locals to choose from. Our tour guide was Moria, who is not one of the tour guides now listed. She was very nice but unprepared and disorganized. She did not know much about the history of Zurich and had to google to give us the information. She kept asking us what we wanted to do and didn’t have anything planned. We ended up ending the tour an hour early because we were better off walking around on our own. We had agreed to reschedule our booking from 10am to 3:30 due to an urgent issue on the part of the tour guide. We also allowed her to bring her small dog as requested. Both were fine but my daughter had to catch a flight back to Florence and could not join the tour at 3:30. We had 5 people not 6. I requested a refund for 1 person since we were asked to reschedule. Moira did not seem to know who Withlocals are as she asked if someone contacted me about the dog she brought along on the tour. When I said it was Lena & Friends from Withlocals, she did not know who that was. The description of the tour also stated we would receive a drink or snack during the tour which we did not. Our tour guide did suggest stopping to have a drink such we all agreed to and then told us actually we can’t do that since I have the dog. She did drop us off at a restaurant with a beautiful view of Zurich for a drink. I have sent several requests through the Lena & Friends message used to communicate to express our concerns and frustrations about the tour with no response.Not up to Withlocals standards

We contacted Lullia early on and told her the kind of tour we wanted. A mix of history, where to go, mountain hiking, lake cruise, etc. She got back with us quickly and proposed some activities, we responded with what sounded good and left it up to her to organize. We started early in the day so we could fit everything in. When we finally met she was very relaxed but diligent on how we went thru the day. She recommended places to visit mixed in with in depth history about how Luzern came to be and evolved. We had a relaxing hike on top of Rigi, ate lunch on top at a mountain cheese maker, wandered around mountain paths, cruised the lake, strolled thru the city. Never rushed but very pleasent. It was a long day but exactly what we wanted. Probably the best guide we have used in all of Europe. Luzern how you like it!

We had a pleasant tour with Meline. Many food tours have a set tastings and rigid timetables, but this was casual and laid back with lots of opportunity to personalize what you wanted to do and try. Meline was a nice person, but had no business being a guide whatsoever. She showed up to the meeting point late, appeared to be impaired and then asked us what we wanted to do. We told her that this tasting food tour with history and culture and to just pick ten things of the region for us to taste and drink and show us culture in history along the way. Her next response set the tone for the tour , she said she did not do history but could get us some food to taste and show us some local culture but was not from Zurich. She had no plan and was completely unorganized. We have been on really good food tours, average food tours, and now this was the worst food tour ever. Most food tours teach you about the area and take you to local spots that know you are coming and are prepared for you. None of this happened on this food tour. Nobody knew we were coming. She took us to some places that had free samples, got us a chocolate bar from a grocery store, and took us to some places that were closed. We did end up eating some decent food but only had 7 of the 10 stated tastings and some were free. We learned absolutely nothing about Zurichs history or sights. This is definately not worth the price and we will be seeking a refund.Worst food tour

Meline was very nice, but she should never be a tour guide. I paid $300 for her to show me things I could have seen on my own for free. She told nothing of historical sights and admitted that she knew very little about Zurich. As far as meals, I had a bratwurst wrapped in paper with a beer and a small meal that I assembled and cooked myself. Nothing like what was advertised. I expect a refund as I did not get what I paid for! Very Disappointed

My friend and I booked The 10 Tasting of Zurich for Saturday, March 16th at 10 am. The host never showed up at the meeting point nor responded to email or phone calls. We went the website and messaged the online help. The initial response was to apologize for the no show, no other remediation was process despite my request for refund. In addition, we were overcharged by nearly $200. I am now working with my credit card company to dispute the charge on my credit card. Host no show, credit card charged

Eligio was a great tour guide who made me feel at home. He patiently waited for me when my flight was delayed, and he tried to help me know everything about Zurich in the little time we had together.
