Ae has many wonderful reviews, and every word of them was true for us. She had great bikes, planned a well coordinated day, really fun rural biking route, super cool stops along the way for sightseeing, lunch, coffee, ice cream; she was very interesting to talk with about Thailand, and the day went so well. The tour is not inexpensive, but with a personal guide it all ended up being exactly what we wanted, and that is well worth it.Fantastic all day bike tour.

We had an unforgettable experience with Ae as our guide during a 35+ km journey through Chiang Mai! From start to finish, Ae was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly welcoming. She was fantastic with our kids (ages 7-14), keeping them engaged and entertained throughout the day. When my daughter had a little fall (her own fault!), Ae immediately sprang into action, having all the supplies needed to tend to her boo-boo. The tour was fully customizable, and Ae took us to some truly unique locations that we never would have discovered on our own. We had a blast picking fruit with the locals, learning about traditional wood carving, playing with local children, and even seeing how sticky rice whiskey is made. Each stop was more fascinating than the last! The lunch spot she picked was a hidden gem—authentic, local, and absolutely delicious. Ae’s perfect English and great sense of humor made the day even more enjoyable. The cultural lessons she shared with us stayed with us throughout the rest of our trip. We had a walking tour upon arrival and Ae was a perfect guide/friend. On our walk we visited some temples and she helped a first timer feel comfortable with the culture and behaviors of both visitors as well as the monk life. She had many friends along the path and was obviously well thought of in any situation we visited. Great food tastings and parts of the city I might never have seen otherwise. Top rating The second event was a bike tour outside the city. The ride was adjusted due to flooding in some locations but we had a great ride and covered about 40 km. Again the tour was all I could have imagined and great value. Ae (Kha) is a jewel and was also very understanding about both the weather situation as well as the heat index as it affected me. Cannot recommend this tour enough! My husband and I did this bike ride with Ae on our first day in Thailand and loved the whole day. We loved getting out in the fresh air and being active to help us adjust to the time zone. Ae effortlessly customized the tour to our requests and built in many stops to give us little breaks. Incredible countryside Chiang Mai experience with a knowledgeable & personable host. Highly recommend this tour if you want to be pushed outside of our comfort zone (the bike ride was a workout)! While taking in beautiful views of the country side, we visited local crafters, rice paddies, enjoyed delicious local foods and even a distillery. There are loads on the itinerary, and Aei will just keep you surprised. Time will fly! We felt safe with Aei, it was like hanging with a pal. 😊 Happy that we choose this experience! Really amazing tour we honestly felt we had experienced country life with Aie we were in her home village and saw some amazing things such as local Rhai whisky production, crab sauce preparation from the tiny crabs that are found in the rice paddies, the most beautiful duck farm owner , wood carving , bee hives, amazing lunch on the water it was endless . Just book , great bikes too and it’s very flat so really easy even in the heat of Chiang Mai district ! 😍A fabulous cycle tour with Aie

I purchased this tour as a gift for my husband and he had a fantastic time! Here's what he had to sa: "I really enjoyed getting out of Chiang Mai city to see the smaller surrounding towns. Aei was a very able guide. She communicated clearly by WhatsApp and arrived on time with a bike that fit me well (she'd asked my wife who arranged the trip my height). We took the short truck ride out to hre home village where we rode on mostly paved roads. She rode at a good pace. Not too fast for me. The terrain was mostly flat, so I was able to really take in the scenery and appreciate the surroundings. We stopped to tour a local distillery, for ice cream and a few other interesting stops. It was a real pleasure to do this bike tour with Aei and I enjoyed every minute of it! Aei took me to the area of her hometown, half an hour drive from Chiang Mai. The local villages, the local handicraft small business, the encounters with the local people, it was so nice, amazing and insightful. And not to forget the lovely food. Going cycling in the countryside with Aei was a welcome change to spending time in the city. Aei is a great companion, was really helpful, and I really enjoyed her company. Aei loves cycling, and so do I. So touring the countryside like this on a bike was wonderful. I particularly liked the many stops we made along the way, many of them unplanned, unexpected. For example there was that fellow picking morning glories from the canal. And our encounter with a monk and his pupils. It was fun meeting Aei's mom at the market at the start of the tour. And I really liked our stop to see the local distillery and meeting the owner, who offered me a free sample. Our lunch spot was as local as you can get. And the coffee stop at "Rock Star" café was awesome. Thank you Aie, it was a wonderful time.A nice morning

For those who like off the beaten path, with no other tourists in sight, I highly recommend this tour. Ae is a fantastic guide, full of energy and passion for the area around her home village. We had a strong start, at the biggest market in Northern Thailand, before disappearing into the peaceful countryside. A few highlights: all the beautiful and quiet temples literally in every single village, the local artisans (lanterns, wood carving and rice whisky) and the roadside handmade coconut ice cream! We cycled a total of 35km under the heat of 30C+, so if you’d like to take this tour, good to be physically be prepared. Awesome tour around the countryside

We are a couple in our early 50s from Australia and had a fantastic day with Aei and saw so much by bike. The roads are flat and Aei did her best to avoid any main roads taking us down back roads and paths. Aei even gave me her soft seat when my unconditioned bottom had had enough of the hard hire bike seat. Highlight was the Whiskey Distillery. You won't be hungry with Aei buying local snacks for us to try and helping choose our lunch. Totally recommend this bike tour through the villages but be prepared for a sore toosh by the end. Cycling with Aei was a great day out!

Booking was efficient and they were accommodating to let us book the whole tour and also to change the tour to tuk tuk rather than cycling. Aei was promoted and helpful, especially to looking after our dad’s needs, who isn’t as mobile as he used to be. She was clearly proud of showing us the less touristy side of Chiang Mai and her local area. Aei took us outside the city to her home village for a tour. We went to see a bunch of local businesses, markets and temples. We stopped to see a funeral pyre for a local monk and got to mingle with the very friendly community. Aei is a wonderful guide who will adjust as you need and allow the unexpected to happen (i.e. pit stop at a funeral anyone?) And, Aei knows all the backroads so we enjoyed quiet roads for the majority of the time. She is very well informed and can tell you about the culture, history and how Thailand is changing. My husband and I absolutely LOVED this experience. We are both in pretty good shape but I had not ridden a bike in a long time. I was worried about the distance and the heat. The day was perfect. Aei paced the day really well. She didn’t pedal foo fast but it was fast enough that the wind kept us cooled off. Aei is very friendly and we had a lot of fun with her. We stopped at so many local spots and really got to see how the people live and work. The roads were flat and the area was pretty to look at. This is the kind of experience you can’t get on your own as a tourist. Highly recommend doing this if you want to get off the beaten path and experience life as a local. Stop thinking about it and book it!Awesome experience

We booked a cycling tour with Aei just a few days out, and we were lucky that we did, because it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip. Aei was incredible right from the beginning, and she gave us the opportunity to visit and see the lives of different people all over the countryside around Chiang Mai (including her own village!) It was the kind of tour that you couldn’t possibly put together by yourself. Neither my wife or I had ridden bicycles in years, so we were a little concerned about how strenuous it would be. Aei was perfectly happy tailoring things to our wants (we had so much fun that we ended up riding much further than the posting suggested). To top it off, even though it was a sunny, hot day the ride never got too strenuous due to the flat landscape and Aei managing our speeds. We couldn’t possibly recommend this tour, or any tour with Aei, more highly. Totally perfect day - cycling tour

Aei has been our lovely guide for a bike tour around Chiang Mai, as well as for a day trip to Doi Inthanon. The activities were as amazing as Aei herself. She is very funny, extremely nice, super caring and attentive to everyone’s requests! I didn’t arrange any tours ahead of my visit but Aei managed to accommodate my schedule and we went for a 4 hour bike ride on Christmas morning in the countryside just out of Chiang Mai. Really appreciated seeing the v local side of Chiang Mei while riding with the sunrise. Aei is really good at chatting up the locals and we made friends w a local Basil farmer, food vendors and restaurant owner. Just abt everyone we crossed paths with. Aei provided a great mountain bike, I had no issues with it on the flat terrain. There were so many high points during the trip but if I had to pick three it would be - stopping to eat sticky rice in bamboo, riding by the river and touring the old city and seeing the old temples.Bicycling around Chiang Mai

Had an enjoyable day biking in the countryside. Aei, our guide, showed us the Chinatown before taking us to the countryside on a local bus with our bikes. We learnt a lot about the local culture, the plants , the tilapia farms etc. The biking is mostly on flat land so it’s not hard. We did around 33 km for our private tour. Overall, it’s an enjoyable experience. Good local experience

Aei is the perfect tour guide ! Outgoing, upbeat, enjoyable and easy to be with. The tour was equally enjoyable. We loved getting outside the city of Chiang Mai to see countryside and rural living. We enjoyed backroad riding next to rice fields, banana trees, duck farms. Stopped to see Sticky Rice Whiskey production at the home of a relative. Also met Aei’s mother and 96 y/o grandmother. Felt like we were family by the end of the day. Knowing this was our last day in Chiang Mai, Aei made sure we sampled Chang Mai specialty dishes, taking us to a restaurant for dinner. Can’t say enough good things. Aei is well versed in Thai history and culture . She is flexible and will gear tour towards interest and stamina. Thanks again Aei ❤️Bike tour 5 stars !!!

We did two tours with Ae. The first one was a food tour around Chiang Mai and we had a ball. Ae is so knowledgeable and personable at the same time. She makes everything fun and we ate so much! The next tour we did with her was a bike ride through the countryside and we actually went through her hometown and because she knew I love coffee so much, she took us to her favorite coffee shop and then we went to the roaster to see how the coffee was roasted. she’s great at tailoring things and finding cool things for one to look at. And she always make sure we have enough to eat and drink! On the bike ride through the country, I was bitten by a dog which is a real fluke and she was quick to take out her first aid kit and put iodine on it and then we all went to the emergency room which was a great experience and she took care of everything. We can’t wait to return to Chiang Mai and when we do we will definitely use her again for any tour. Ae is the best guide no matter what tour
