Giuly was wonderful! We asked her to put together a personal tour of the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens for my nephew and myself and Guily delivered. She was thorough and yet provided space to allow our experience of what she was showing us. We found this to be a nice balance of information and experience. Not only that but she connected our experience with other historical landmarks in relation to the Palace and Gardens that were in different parts of Florence. This gave us a larger perspective of understanding the time in which we were peering into. Guily herself was delighful, light hearted, and attuned to our experience and pacing. She was helpful with other recommendations about what to do in the city from resturants to piazzas. My 18 uear old nephew even commented that it was one of his favorite tours because it was so easliy informative but digestable. Giorgio took us on a great food and local knowledge tour of Florence. We started with a very informative stroll through the farmers market. Next, we walked through the streets as he explained some of the historic buildings and the stories behind them. Along the way, we stopped at several places and sampled food and beverage that the locals enjoy. It didn’t seem like we had enough time. Dina took us on a great tour of the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery. She was very responsive in planning our tour and made adjustments based on what I requested. She was willing to do less than the usual 4 hour tour since we thiught that would be too long for us. Dina was such a great guide that she made our time at the museums one of our favorite activities. She knew just the right pace to go and how much detail to give us to keep it interesting for our group of six. Aside from being so informative she was so fun and easy to be with. This walking tour through Florence was absolutely unforgettable! “The History of Florence: Famous Medici Family & Pitti Palace Tour” was the perfect blend of rich history, beautiful architecture, and fascinating storytelling. We began at the iconic Odeon Theatre, a wonderful spot that set the tone for the tour with its old-world charm. From there, we explored the grand Pitti Palace, once home to the powerful Medici family, where we learned captivating stories about their influence over Florence and Europe. One of the unexpected highlights was a visit to the official Santa Maria Novella perfumery, a hidden gem full of centuries-old recipes and heavenly scents. Right nearby, the majestic Santa Maria Novella Church left us in awe with its frescoes and peaceful beauty. We were especially moved by the Medici tombs and museums, where history came alive through the stories of power, politics, and art. We loved our family tour with Dina. She kept our 6 and 9 year olds entertained for the 2 hour walking tour. Dina is friendly and the stories she told us of Florence we would never have learnt about by ourselves.
