Paulo was a fantastic guide and I couldn't recommend him too highly. From the point of booking, his communication was excellent, clear and very helpful indeed. We booked Paulo for a tour of the Colosseum, wanting to gain a better historical understanding than we might have done from the audio guide or the boards around the site. And we had a much, much better experience than we could possibly have hoped for - Paulo really is a passionate historian and incredibly knowledgeable about all of Rome. We had already covered so much of the history even before we walked through the archway and onto the Arena floor and Paulo made it completely come to life for us as we entered the Arena. He answered our questions brilliantly - the history, the architecture, the nature of the games, the animals, the gladiators, the emperors and the citizens and so much more AND his many pictures and historic images helped to further illuminate and enhance the experience. I think our tour over-ran a bit as Paulo was happy to answer all of our questions in great detail and with true depth of knowledge, being very generous with his time and knowledge and very patient with all our questions. If you are looking for a guide who will bring historic Rome to life, is a font of fascinating information, as well as being charming and helpful - pick Paulo for your tour!.Fantastic guide, highly recommended

Informative and energetic, Sara showed us all we could possibly see in the two days we were in Rome. She never stopped talking, and that was a wonderful thing! The absolute wealth of knowledge she has about the city is unparalleled. Not only did we learn so much about the ancient city, she also took us to some of the tastiest places for pizza, suppli, and the most decadent slushie espresso topped with fresh whipped cream just outside the Pantheon. Delicious treats with spectacular views! We are Americans and Sara spoke very clear English. We rarely had trouble understanding her. In a city with so much to do and see, we felt like we didn’t miss a thing. We would recommend Sara to anyone we know who will be visiting Rome in the future. Carlo picked up our booking when other guides cancelled and how fortuitous that turned out to be. He communicated well before to arrange the purchase of the Colosseum tickets and to arrange a meet point. He was really personable and interacted well with our three boys to make the tour understandable for them. It was very hot but he ensured we found plenty of shade as he brought the Colosseum to life. He gave us advice for the rest of the trip, and also plenty of restaurants and gelateria’s. We’d never been inside before and were blown away with this tour. Pietro Paolo is clearly passionate about his profession and about his home city of Roma. The stories he shared and picture he painted in our minds for us was spectacular. As an adult family of four, this couldn’t have been any better other than attending at night time but we did not plan far enough ahead for that and those tickets are quite limited. Now that we have spent time with our “local” I wish we were here longer to attend other tours he could offer. Having him tour us through the Pantheon would’ve been amazing. Absolutely breathtaking experience

We were a party of 5 that had a fantastic 1.5 hour tour of the Colosseum with Matteo. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and was able to answer our questions and bring the history alive. Federico was the best tour guide. So personable and very knowledgeable. He patiently answered our many questions about the history of the roman empire and made sure in our short time we saw the high lights of the city.
