   If the weather allows it we go up into the vineyards where we will enjoyed the amazing nature and view from the top of the hills. This mini hike is just beyond lovely and provides a unique sight over the city

7. Cafe Grießbach Grinzing

   the tour ends at meeting point at the main square in Grinzing where the tram 38 takes you right back into downtown Vienna.

I would recommend Sandy in a heartbeat! I booked the tour while I was still back home in Canada and Sandy was super easy to communicate with through the With Locals website. I had only an evening layover in Vienna. Sandy picked me up from the airport and tailored a late night tour to accommodate my short time frame. Sandy also graciously accommodated my last minute request to invite two friends who had decided on short notice to fly from the UK to meet me in Vienna. Our family of four had lots of fun with Sandy on the pastry tour. We were in Vienna just for the weekend and this was a great way to get a little history, try some well known pastries and experience a few of the coffeehouses. When our family arrived two minutes early to the designated meet up location, we immediately started looking for Sandy. We searched everywhere in the vicinity, with no luck. Sandy later claimed she had been there, but if true, she didn’t look for us (a family of 4, obviously searching for someone). I texted 10 minutes after the meeting time and got no reply until about 20 minutes later, when she said she was already home and couldn’t get back for another 20 minutes. We’d waited in the cold for over 45 minutes at that point. This was wildly frustrating and disappointing to me and my family. What a terrible way to start our visit to Vienna, and totally surprising given the great experience we had with this company in Greece just a few years earlier.No show

Met Sandy by the golden bear and straight away we both knew we were with a local, she was just a lovely bright woman with a passion for her city Vienna. She holds your interest in the way she is, and had a rare and interesting historical knowledge of her city but can go back and go to the present day in a way only someone like her can. She took us first for the genuine Austrian sandwiches where only Viennese were they were delicious and delicate and the baby beer balanced them beautifully. She is easy to talk to and interested in the world so you feel like you have met a new friend. The next stop was to enjoy Pumkin soup and platter of local Viennese cured meats, cheeses and delicious breads, matched with a local Danube Austrian Sauvignon I can still taste this now just sumptuous. She chats and walks and gives you great tips and then we arrive at a lovely Viennese coffee house for 3 sweet delicacies we barely have room but cannot resist and have to say the Strudel won. Thanks Sandy this 3 hours spent with you was memorable and we cannot thank you enough, good luck in all that you do in the future and big thanks from your 2 UK girls❤️Sandy shows us her Vienna

We went on a food tour through Vienna in October with Sandy, and it was an unforgettable experience! Sandy was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the city's food scene, but she was also warm and personable. It felt like we were eating with a friend who just happened to know all the best spots in Vienna. When it unexpectedly started to rain, Sandy quickly adapted her plan, ensuring we stayed dry while still enjoying all the delicious stops on the tour. We sampled local favorites like goulash, wiener schnitzel, various desserts, and a selection of finger sandwiches. But the highlight was when Sandy went above and beyond by ordering a unique twist on the famous sacher torte—served as a layered mousse in a glass instead of the traditional cake! It was an unexpected treat that made the tour feel even more special. Sandy also provided us with great restaurant recommendations for the rest of our stay, and her passion for Vienna's food culture really shone through. We were a group of six friends on our first trip to Vienna, several of whom are very picky with a variety of dietary needs. Sandy was extremely communicative throughout the reservation process. She picked us up at our hotel and brought us to several authentic, off the beaten path places that only locals would know about. Everything was terrific and we had an awesome time! My wife and I visited Vienna recently and booked a food tour with Sandy of Withlocals. My wife's cousin, who is Austrian and lives in Vienna, joined us on our tour. I explained to Sandy in advance that we had been to Vienna several times before and had already been to the places that most new visitors want to see (e.g., Hotel Sacher, Demel, etc.). Instead, we wanted to visit establishments that feature Viennese and Austrian cuisine that tourists would not generally know about -- and Sandy gave us exactly what we wanted! We visited five or six different restaurants, cafes, bakeries, food stands, etc. that we would never have otherwise seen and enjoyed a wide variety of local dishes, both sweet and savory. Even my wife's cousin, who has lived in Vienna for many years, was impressed. If you want to book a really fun and interesting food tour in Vienna, I highly recommend Sandy and Withlocals!A Terrific Food Tour!

I give the tour a 10 out of 10! My husband and I were in Vienna and had a private pastry tour with Sandy. We had a wonderful experience. Sandy took us to places that only a local would know. We had some of the most delicious cakes and tortes topped off by an ice cream dumpling. Sandy was very knowledgeable about the history of Vienna, as well as the different foods we were having.
