We booked Julien through a referral from a friend and this was easily one of the best things we did on our honeymoon. Julien was amazing. He made the Louvre feel personal, approachable, and honestly kind of magical. I’m not an art expert by any stretch, but he made everything feel interesting and easy to understand. The way he told the stories behind the paintings and sculptures really brought them to life. We didn’t have a direction or focus we wanted and entrusted our experience to him. He also picked up on the fact that we were on our honeymoon and added these thoughtful touches throughout the tour. He pointed out romantic pieces, shared cool little hidden spots, and just made the whole experience feel tailored to us. It didn’t feel like a tour, it felt like walking through the museum with a super knowledgeable friend who really cared about making it memorable for us. We had a wonderful tour with Emilie! She was so friendly and knowledgeable and kept our jet-lagged group of 4 engaged throughout our two hours. We knew we would be tired after an overnight flight and wanted to see the highlights of the museum (Mona Lisa, Winged Victory, Venus de Milo, etc.), and she showed us all of those and more. I especially appreciated seeing some of the original stone of the palace from the lower level and learning the original history of the location and museum. Emilie was so kind and informative. Hugo is a wealth of information — incredibly knowledgeable, articulate, and passionate about art and history. What impressed us most was his ability to engage every member of our group, from my teenagers to my 80-year-old mother. He struck the perfect balance between education and storytelling, bringing the museum to life in a way that was both accessible and captivating. Although Hugo was open to customizing the tour to our preferences, we asked him to lead the way and show us what he thought we shouldn’t miss — and we’re so glad we did. Paola is a great guide and lover of the ‘story’ or history behind the artist and the art object being viewed. She used her iPad as an adjunct to display explainations of art pieces she was describing, mading history come alive! Her knowledge was excellent and extensive. Paola was also gregarious and very considerate of our physical needs to stop and rest now and then. She interceded when our view was obstructed, and made the ‘overwhelming Louvre’ manageble. Our family of four loved our Louvre tour with Emilie! I told her our daughters' ages in advance and she prepared a special tour for them, and made sure to point out things of interest for their age level. She saved us a TON of time from skipping the entry line, to being able to use the group visit rest room, to making sure we saw all the important works within our two hours there (the kids can only really muster so much time in a museum before they start losing it :)). Her knowledge of the art and the history was fantastic, and she answered all our questions patiently. She really explained the history behind each painting and made it interesting for all of us. We were delighted with our tour withe Fe: she structured the tour according to our interests and requests. Even though we were late and our tour was shortened, Fe made the most of our time and showed us parts of the museum we would not have seen on our own. Fe was amazing. We loved it. The tour was great and she was incredibly knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to book with her again. The only thing I would mention-which is a Tours with Locals issue, unrelated to Fe- is that the tour times listed aren’t necessarily available if tickets are already sold out through the main Louvre site. For example we booked a 9a-11a tour planning on hustling to the Mona Lisa with a smaller viewing crowd but even though she had us pre-book tickets, they were sold out at that time and the earliest available were 10 which allows for a 9:30 entry. Seems like not a big deal but changed our timing of plans for the day and made the Mona Lisa viewing meh. Fe was excellent, made the most of it, and gave us extra tour time so it’s definitely not a Fe issue. She was truly was an exceptional guide. Just double check the Louvre site when you are deciding on time and buy tickets early!! Great tour!

Inside, we had the best time learning about the museum pieces with Fe's insight and knowledge. An incredible tour! Hugo is so knowledgable and is great at really explaining things in depth, but at a relatable level. He showed us parts of the Louvre we didn’t know existed, was able to explain the meaning behind the paintings and sculptures and show us details we wouldn’t have otherwise noticed.
