We recently had the pleasure of our customers being guided through Nagoya, Omihachiman, and Kyoto by Roy, an exceptional guide who truly elevated their experience. From the moment they met, it was evident that he possessed an extensive knowledge of the areas we were to explore. His expertise shone through as he effortlessly navigated through the intricacies of each destination. What truly set Roy apart was not only his knowledge but also his experience. His insights into the history, culture, and local customs enriched our journey in ways we could not have imagined. Every landmark, every hidden gem, seemed to come alive under his guidance, offering us a deeper understanding and appreciation of the places visited. Moreover, Roy prioritized our safety at every step of the journey. Whether it was ensuring we were aware of potential hazards or offering valuable tips for staying safe in unfamiliar surroundings, he went above and beyond to make sure the travels were smooth and worry-free. Overall, the experience with Roy was nothing short of exceptional. His passion for sharing the beauty and richness of Nagoya, Omihachiman, and Kyoto, Fushimi Inari, was evident in every interaction. Our customers left feeling not only enriched by the places they visited but also grateful for the opportunity to have been guided by someone so knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated to ensuring the journey was both memorable and safe. We highly recommend him to anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure in these captivating destinations.Amazing tour through Nagoya to Kyoto

Four of us hired Roy for a tour of Nagoya, and it was great. We took subways and trains, visited Atsuta Shrine, Nagoya Castle, shopping areas and much more. We had a very nice lunch, and enjoyed Roy's deep knowledge of the area and Japanese history. It was really enjoyable learning the history behind the sites we visited. I would strongly recommend Roy as a tour guide. His English is great, and we enjoyed his tour very much!Roy is an Excellent Guide!

Best guide ever We had an incredible Nagoya tour with Roy. He thoroughly educated us on the sites and history of the shoguns and emperors. We received good understanding into Shinto and Buddhism. Roy is one of the best guides that one can experience. We were a group of 4 and 1 person had walking difficulties and he accommodated the tour for him. Roy is truly an expert professional guide and is extremely well organized. Plus, a very genteel person and enjoyable to be with. We recommend Roy to the highest level. Thank you Roy. You provided a touring day we will never forget.Nagoya Favorite One Day Tour

This tour was a disaster and could not be qualified as even a “tour.” We left after 20 minutes due to several problems. Despite telling our host about my daughter’s food allergies at the time of booking he 1.) acted as if he’d not been aware and 2.) had no idea what to do about it. Brian showed up with 2 friends, one of whom was drunk and who also took over the tour. The drunk friend kept insisting that we go to a bar, Shooters, because he needed a beer and because he knew we would want American style food. He also kept pushing pizza or a “sit down meal” at the bar. The other friend simply hovered at the margins the whole time. WTH? What tour guide shows up for a private tour with (drunk or even sober) friends? We’ve done food tours all over the world, and we’ve always been greeted with a plan of “we’re going to do X, Y, and Z local foods here, then move on and try A, B, then C.” Brian had absolutely no plan and instead suggested we just wander the neighborhood while his drunk friend talked up the bars. It was up to us to suggest if we wanted to try something, without any clue what was on offer or what was typical for the area. We wanted a tour so someone in the know could show us what was local and good. It was apparent Brian had no clue. We were also told by the drunk friend that we shouldn’t go anywhere there was a line. (Typically, a line out the door is a sign the locals approve.) Brian spoke passable English but not enough Japanese to order food correctly. He had to call the drunk friend over to order at the first place. Ultimately, he ordered a dish with my daughter’s allergens. At this point I had no faith in either of them, took the food back and asked about allergens myself. That was when we left the tour. All of this took 20 minutes. Total fiasco. The only thing that will redeem this pathetic attempt at a tour and make it worth even one star will be if we are fully refunded. This was Brian and his drunk friend getting some food at our expense. Total Fiasco, worst.tour.ever
