Eva was not only an outstanding tour guide, but a wonderful person with whom to spend three hours. She is engaging, warm, humorous and by the end of the time together she felt like a friend. She was extremely knowledgeable about greek history and intertwined mythology into the information and stories she shared about the acropolis by giving us each mythological roles. We not only spent time learning details about the acropolis itself, as we wandered around the ruins, but also had an incredibly interesting tour through the museum. Eva pointed out bits of information one would never pick up on their own. I only wish we could have spent the day together!!! Eva met us at 8am in Syntagma Square and we were the only ones there! Great photo opportunity. We strolled through the park seeing geese and goats…very relaxing. Then off to the Olympic stadium with stops to hear about history. Eva made it fun for the pre teens as well as the adults. We visited a picturesque village below the Acropolis and a break for a refreshment. Eva is a wonderful photographer so we let her choose the locations for our family photos. Eva is vivacious and very energetic…we all loved spending the morning with her. Family Outing A Success

Alexandros is a great tour guide, made it interesting tying the Acropolis sites with Greek mythology. The kids were engaged. Evanthia contacted me right after I booked our tour. She even texted me to say I had to purchase the acropolis & slope tour and the museum tickets separately and what website to go to. She also texted us a meeting place. Evanthia’s vast knowledge of the history of Acropolis and all the surrounding monuments is astounding! Evanthia was even a very good sport when we (my 20 yr. daughter and I just stepped off a 10 our flight with a 3 hour layover from our first 2 hr flight at 9am) and told her we were extremely exhausted so Evanthia keep us at a great pace in order to see the entire museum. Needless to say she didn’t race through to get it all in. She was thorough but brief. One of the BEST tour guides around!!

A delicant mixture of history, architecture, culture and local food, all woven together by Yorgos astounding ability to tell stories. My little brother, not the type to be fascinated with anything but football was impressed by how much he enjoyed the tour. After the tour we all had a feeling we had gotten to know the city through a perspective that other tourists around us were not able to. We genuinely enjoyed Evanthia and her tour around Athens. She made a great effort to ensure we were all engaged, from a buff like me to a jaded 16yo girl. We covered a lot of territory, from the classical sites to off the beaten path. We had originally wanted to get up to the Acropolis, but bad timing on my part prevented our ability to get tickets. We wanted a private tour for four people the day after our daughter’s wedding on what ended up being the hottest day in Athens so far this year. HOT 🥵 Alexandros took care of everything and took great care of us. We went into the air conditioned museum and learned about fascinating parts of Greek history and the museum would have meant so much less without Alexandros. Then onto the climb to the Acropolis. We stopped in shady spots along the way for him to explain what we were seeing. There is so much more there than we realized. Alexandros made it all very interesting and he has a great personality. Alex gave us a fantastic tour of the Acropolis museum & site. We were with our 3 teenage children & we really enjoyed it. We started in the museum which I would recommend as it’s laid out to mirror the actual site & he spent lots of time with us there explaining the different buildings and interesting artefacts & telling us some v entertaining myths associated. He is obviously extremely knowledgeable but with a very light & entertaining style which made the tour v relaxed. He then brought us through the site itself and nicely reminded us & brought together whet we had learnt & seen in the museum which really brought the ruins to life. He was extremely patients and gave us lots of time & we even had time to stop for coffees and ice creams and a lovely chat about Athenian life between the museum & the site. Alex was highly knowledgable, friendly and easy going. We enjoyed a 3 hour walking tour around Athens looking at the ancient sites of Athens and some different areas around Athens that we wouldn’t have been confident seeing on our own. I warned Alex in advance that I was bringing a mythology and history major with me … he did not disappoint! He did an amazing job of bringing the Acropolis and Parthenon to life and had all the mythological tea to spill on the gods and goddesses. Truly an education and also highly entertaining. He can do it all and is an absolute delight to spend a day with. Bonus - he brings pictures making it so easy for your imagination to keep up with the story telling. Wow, what a great experience we had touring the Acropolis and the museum with Alexandros. He was so great at weaving the stories of mythology and made the statues come to life in the museum. You can tell by the look in his eyes when he speaks, how passionate he is about the history of the Acropolis. He did an amazing job of keeping us interested and engaged while we toured. We travel many times a year and often do a food tasting tour the first day. This was the worst food tour we have ever experienced. The food we tasted was incredibly unimaginative (for example: a package of oregano and a package of bread sticks from a supermarket as two of the tastings!) Evanthia did not seem to have any real knowledge of Greek food, nor did she take us anywhere to taste any interesting local cuisine, except 2 pieces of filo pie we shared between the 5 of us. I DO NOT recommend a food tour with Evanthia. We were hugely underwhelmed.Disappointing food tour with Evanthia

Alexandros was an absolute delight! He knows his content and his language skills are impeccable. Do not hesitate to have him guide you through your Acropolis visit. He advised seeing the site first and museum last which I believe to be the best choice as well. Do not skip the museum visit as it pulls in the details of the history, especially with a knowledgeable guide. Also, as he advised, an 8:00AM start is best for weather and crowd management. Knowledgeable, Experienced Guide!

There were 9 of us with Yorgos. Some have never done this type of tour before. He was super accommodating with such a large group. Yorgos gave us a meeting spot within walking distance of our hotel and it was super easy to find. We had SOOOOO much food. Everything was fantastic. Some small bites and then we sat down at a restaurant and had a feast!!! We learned the history of the food and tried so many different things. I would recommend this 100% but probably do less than 9 people lol was a bit harder to find places to sit with that many. What a fun experience!
