We were lucky enough to book two tours with Alba while we were in Seville this month. Laura spent four days with our family, doing a different 2-3 hour tour with us each day, and she was both an absolute delight and a knowledgeable and engaging guide for all of the members of our family! Our ten year old twin girls stayed engaged with her the entire time, peppering her with questions and listening raptly. She’s wonderful at keeping children engaged and adults interested. That is not an easy feat. When we had to say goodbye at the end of our four days, we felt like we were saying goodbye to a dear friend. If you are going to visit Seville, book a tour for the Cathedral! And with Juan😉 We booked a tour with Juan for the Cathedral of Seville. The first hour we walked in the area around the Cathedral and he told a lot of the history. he knows so much about the history and also inside the Cathedral he tells you as much as possible! You can notice that Juan loves his city. I can write a whole story, but the conclusion is, just book the tour! You won’t regret it. Highly recommended!

Our family of 3, including our 16 year old son, absolutely loved our tour with Juan Fernando!! He is an expert in the history of the area, showed us all around the Jewish Quarter and then into the Cathedral, which was so incredibly beautiful!! Laura met us at our Hotel which made the start of our tour very easy as we didn’t have to locate a meeting point. From there Laura took us on a 3 hour walking tour through the city showing us historical sites and various other interesting places on the route. She took us through some quieter parts of the city which visitors don’t always see. If you like history then Laura is definitely a guide we would recommend. We had been in Seville for four days when we met up with Laura, so we had done a fair bit of walking in the old city, and also along the river in Triana. But Laura took us mostly to the northern, less touristy part of the old city, and we rambled from one beautiful Mudejar church to another, and talked about life in Seville, past and present. What it's like for Sevillanos, with growing tourism; the future fate of the historic old houses which are so expensive to restore; religious life, the involvement of young people in local fraternities and processions. It's so good to have a chance to talk to a local! And ask Laura about her PhD thesis on women in medieval life in Seville.... You'll have a really enjoyable experience.Extending our range in Seville

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Cecilia and this tour. It was not only a highlight of our trip, but I think a highlight of all of the travel we have ever done. Cecilia is a truly wonderful person and we want her to be part of our family! She is charming, fun, smart, patient, accommodating and an amazing person to know. The tour was fantastic and we ate incredible food (do not eat dinner beforehand because this is a full meal). We had a variety of food restrictions, and somehow she magically made everyone happy. And it wasn't just about food. She gave us a perspective on the culture and history that made us feel completely immersed in the experience. She also recommended and helped us book a fantastic flamenco show in an intimate setting -- perfect for our family. We were so sad when it ended and felt like we could turn around and do it all over again. Thank you so much Cecilia for being truly extraordinary. My wife and I met Alvaro in a busy and safe location. He took us through the rich history of the city and shared lots of background about the culture of Sevilla. We hung out at all of the coolest spots with the locals in the community of Triana. He is also very attentive to dietary restrictions when it comes to ordering the food for you. We don’t eat pork, red meat, or dairy (sounds like a lot when you list it out like that) and we are also “texture eaters”.. he took all of that into consideration and was still able to order delicious tapas for us and enjoy with us! My wife and I booked a tour of Sevilla’s old Jewish Quarter with Alba. It was a great experience. Two things stood out for us. First, we are both a bit mobility challenged (we each walk with a cane). Alba accommodated us in terms of pacing and put in a stop for coffee and a bit of rest in the middle of the tour. Second, Alba really knows her subject, having done significant academic work on the subject. Hers was not a canned tour presentation but rather a thoughtful, insightful trip through events and places that we had not known a lot about.
