Yván did a great job of making the ruins come alive. He explained both the excavation and its past. The museum was also terrific given the context of the objects being next to the ruins. The rest of my family actually went to visit Teotihuacan yesterday, while my father wanted to go to Templo Mayor instead. I arranged a tour for him with Mabel, and she took excellent care of him, from meeting until the end of the tour. We had a fantastic food tour with Victor through the historic center of Mexico city! He is extremely knowledgeable about the area, the history, and also about each of the eateries that we visited. It was very informative and our teen and tweenaged kids loved the tour as well. Victor was excellent with the kids, ensuring that they were also having a great time. When I asked my youngest son (11 years) about his most favorite part of our whole trip to Mexico City, he said that his highlight was the food tour with Victor. I think that we all agreed with him. Alaya communicated several times with me before our trip to Mexico and was very detailed in describing our meeting place. She is charming and a fun person to be with. She was able to tell us about the history and the many streets we walked on, including the park through which we walked. She was sure to take us through the market and pointed out good ice cream. At our stopping point, she directed us to La Casa Azul, only 2 blocks away. We were fortunate to have two superb experiences with Nalleli on two separate days. Nalleli was very informative and engaging. She brought calm to the chaos of Mexico City. Our tour of the Antropology Museum on day one provided a great foundation for our visit. It was made even better when Nalleli organized a senior archeologist to join us for the three hours. On day two we spent walking around the Centro Historico area including to the various historical landmarks and many off the beaten path places. Along the way and at each stop Nalleli shared stories that provided us with valuable insight into Mexico's history and culture.

We booked a Mexico City Kickstarter tour with Mabel, and it was anything but just a Kickstarter! We spent 3 hours with her, while she explained the importance of the historical center of CDMX. I honestly learned more about the history of Mexico in those three hours than I did in all my years of schooling. She was engaging, knowledgeable, and best of all, shared her favorite places to go in the city for food, art, etc. After the tour, she sent a long list of her favorite museums, etc. and even built out a two day itinerary for us. We would have never known about a local's art event on Saturdays without her telling us, where we ended up going and commissioning a painting for our home. Thanks, Mabel. Our trip to Teotihuacan with Mabel was amazing! From the hotel pick-up, to the considerate provision of a cooler for our water, everything was well-thought of. Mabel was very considerate of my senior parents, allowing them to rest and stay put when tired, and also understood my limitations w climbing stairs because of my bad knee. She explained everything we saw and experienced, even the wares the sellers were showcasing at the site. She advised us what not to buy, and what to buy, and after a tiring, but fruitful time in Teotihuacan, she brought us to a yummy, local Mexican restaurant, where she even patiently explained everything on the menu! My family highly recommends touring with Mabel :) An amazing trip to Teotihuacan with Mabel!

Rogelio picked us up early in a Sunday and we had a quick drive to Teotihuacán. He showed us around and explained the history. We appreciated his objectivity and pragmatism. When he didn’t have the answer he didn’t make anything up. It would be nice if something else were included in this day trip (such as the Guadalupe shrine and/or Tlatelolco) since it is advertised as an 8 hour excursion and is priced as such. Visiting Teotihuacan only took 3-4 hours. Rogelio is very knowledgeable

It would be great if Yván invested in a couple of newer bikes that had seats that could adjust to a person’s height. He could charge a little more and the ride would be more comfortable. Also, it would be nice to visit a place - either the market or a museum in the area. It would break up the biking and I believe that tourists would like to visit indoors and get a tour, especially if they are spending the time to travel down to this neighborhood. Walking around Coyoacan would have been OK by myself, it's got parks and cafes and markets, but seeing it with someone who knows the city and its history so deeply was so much better! Nalleli taught me a ton about how the area fits into Mexico City's culture and history, and we got to see a lot of niche spots that I would have never found. It was really nice having someone show me the little museums, cafes, and historical buildings I would never have access to without local insight (or any real Spanish-speaking ability). Nalleli is a gem and I would gladly learn more from her.Had the Best Time in Coyoacan!

We had our walking tour with Hilary the day after we arrived in Mexico city. We had nothing specific that we were looking for which probably wasn't helpful to Hilary but I have to say, we had the most enjoyable time!!! Hilary was a mind full of information. She was quick to figure out areas and information that she thought that we'd be interested in, and we were!!! Sometimes walking tours can feel like the guide is just throwing out facts that they've learnt about the area but with Hilary this was definitely not the case. My walking tour of Mexico City's Centro district was a great way to spend 3 hours. Our guide, Victor, was fantastic, bringing the city's rich history to life with fascinating stories and insights. We loved learning more about Coyoacan: the culture, the people, the traditions, the coffee and ice cream, and the history. Since we had already been to the Frida Museum, we wanted to dig deeper, and Alaya provided a hands-on walking tour. We learned so many "local" tidbits about the area that you don't often read in a guidebook. Put on your walking shoes because the best way to see the area is by walking through it. We were even "blessed" in one of the parks and saw so many families and couples eating, dancing, eating, listening to music, and enjoying life. Alaya brought it alive for us by telling us the back stories, and showing us where to get away from the hubbub of one of the largest cities in the world!
