Spending the afternoon with Marty at the Uffizi was like being with an old friend. She was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. She showed us the important paintings and the history of each one. We wanted to see the Caravaggios, which might not have been on her normal “route”, but she made it possible to show them to us. We also went through the Vasari Corridor which was very special to experience. A great tour with someone who was attentive and very much enjoyed art history! Grazie! Uffizi con mi amica

This is the second time we used Cristina for a Uffizi tour. The first was in 2021 but my wife and my buddy’s wife both caught Covid and were restricted to their rooms while my buddy and I did the tour. Now back with my wife, we used Cristina again. Highly recommend her. Very well informed and knowledgeable about the museum and the arts’ history, focused on what mattered and gave good advice with respect to what else to do (and avoid) in Florence. Dina is a wonderful guide. Her knowledge of the Medici family and the history of Florence is exceptional. I went on two tours with her and both were great. Ivana could not do the tour and arranged with Arzu Guida to do the tour and she was magnificent! From explaining piazza culture she took us back and unlocked the history of the city. I am sure that we could have walked and talked for another 3 hours, Florance has a long history full of facinating characters! Marco is an excellent guide. He gave us a beautiful presentation of the artistic development of peinture from the renaissance to the realistic in the context of the rule of the Medicis. Zeynep is amazing! If you want someone to bring alive the stories behind the paintings, she will do it! When I look at art, it is always so much more interesting for me to know the story behind it: the artist's story, why they painted it, and the context of the era they were in. She takes you along that journey, even giving you tidbits of gossip from the time. Zeynep makes art accessible. I was with my adult son who, while a history major in college, didn't have a lot of exposure to art history. After the tour with Zeynep, he walked away putting her tour of the Uffizi as one of his top highlights of our Italy trip. He said, "Her enthusiasm for the subject were contagious." I was disappointed that MAJA was unable to guide the Uffizi tour. HOWEVER, no one could have been a better guide than MARCO. Not ONLY did he have the historical chronology, Art history knowledge and firm interest in each painting (and sculpture) but he had interesting antidotes about each painter and painting.
