Marcos give us a wonderful tour that was engaging and interesting for our kids (and for us). But even beyond the tour, he truly went above and beyond to help us out. We were in Valencia during the very bad flooding and he was incredibly kind and helpful to help us navigate the situation. He went out of his way to keep us informed and make sure we were safe and we feel so lucky to have met him! We booked with Marcos originally for a bike tour with our 3 and 1 year olds. From the beginning he was so accommodating and communicated often in preparation for our trip to make sure our itinerary was suitable for both us and our children. The night before our day together, the forecast showed 100% chance of rain but he insisted we wait to cancel and make new plans the day of if the rain came. Surely in the morning, the rain came but he had the idea of making it a walking tour instead because the sites were close. We were so thrilled that we got to see the city with Marcos still! Upon arrival, Marcos greeted us with open arms and loved talking and playing with our boys 💙 There wasn’t a single question he didn’t know the answer to—I have no idea how he knows everything he does! Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children ages 8 and 12) did a bike tour of Valencia with Marcos in August. He adapted the tour to accommodate our children and to ensure it was an enjoyable experience for everyone. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and communicated it in a way that was very engaging and kept our children interested. It was our daughter's birthday on the day of the tour and Marcos gave us lots of recommendations for lunch and dinner, tailored based on what she wanted to eat, hours of operation and location. We took his recommendations and had two fantastic meals in the city to celebrate our daughter's birthday. We learned so much about the city from Marcos. We can't say enough good about the amazing tour of Valencia with Marcos. He was the perfect host! We rode through the old town, stopping at sights along the way when Marcos would explain the history, culture, and meaning of each place. He used his ipad to show us photos of old Valencia and how it's grown to the city of today. We also biked through the center of the city and along the park bike path to the Opera House, Science Museum, and the CaixaForum. We felt like we saw so much of the city and really got an excellent overview of its history and geography. Marco answered all our many, many questions and sent us information about things to see and restaurants to visit - it was above and beyond. Marcos introduced his beautiful city of Valencia to our group of six in October. He kindly met us at our hotel and showed us round some of the key sights and streets of the city plus a few lesser-known ones. The tour ran over by 30 minutes as he was so keen that we didn’t miss out on anything. He also texted info to us afterwards about restaurants and local transport that was very helpful. The pace of the tour was perfect and the history and knowledge he shared was pitch perfect - giving context, interest and colour to everywhere we visited. Our group of 10 experienced the “Highlights Hidden Gem Tour” with Marcos on September 3, 2024 We confused our meet up time with Marcos by 1 hour but we were grateful Marcos was still able to lead us on our tour of Valencia without rushing us even though we had been late. Marcos' passion for his city and knowledge was evident as he proudly led us through the city’s historic area. He answered our many questions and was easy to understand and very pleasant. He arranged for our group to have lunch at one of his favorite restaurants. All enjoyed the paella, saying it by far was the best they had while in Spain. I highly recommend Marcos as a tour guide. Marcos is indeed a friendly teacher. My daughter and I took his bike tour our first full afternoon in Valencia when we were jet-lagged and foggy-headed, but he made us forget all that with his engaging presentation. He is very knowledgable about the city and its history and has lots of interesting supplemental photos to share on his tablet. He has a very pleasant manner and is a lot of fun to be with. He clearly wants you to experience the tour that is right for you and your interests. Our tour had to be cut a little short because of a thunderstorm, and Marcos did everything he could to try to reschedule us sometime in his very busy week. Unfortunately, this didn't work out, but was more than made up for by his list of excellent restaurants, which saved us so much time and searching and really added to our trip. We chose the wettest day in April but Marcia still managed to give us a fabulous experience. At one point it was so torrential that we had to ditch the bikes and duck into a coffee shop for a warm up! Wir sind aus der Altstadt mit den inkludierten Mietbikes durch den Turia-Park an der Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències entlang zum Meer. Dort dann in Richtung Süden zum Parc Natural de l’Albufera de València. Unterwegs gab es immer wieder Pausen mit reichlich Informationen und auch Insiderwissen, da unser Guide (Marcos) hier aufgewachsen ist. Er konnte absolut alles mit Fotos und Bildern auf seinem Tablett anschaulich darstellen. Egal aus welcher Zeit und zu welchem Thema. Eine schöne Pause im Naturschutzgebiet mit Kuchen und einem einheimischen Getränk gab es auch noch. Auf dem Albufera-See sind wir dann noch eine kleine Runde mit dem Boot rumgefahren worden. Marcos ist sehr freundlich, positiv eingestellt und glänzt mit vielseitigem Wissen. Sein Englisch ist sehr gut. Perfekter Guide. Perfekte Tour für uns. Wir lieben das Radln und die Natur. 45 km sind es hin und zurück. Aber mit den ganzen Pausen ist das easy.Perfekte Tour durch die Albufera

Our guide was Marcos and he was one of the best tour guides we've had. We were travelling with our three young kids and Marcos did a brilliant job of tailoring the narrative to ensure they were always engaged and interested. He also incorporated a number of unplanned detours to get the kids ice cream!! It was our first time in Valencia so the itinerary curated by Marcos was bang-on the money. I was actually surprised with the range of sites we were able to cover in 2 hours. One of the subtle highlights was walking through the back-lanes rather than on the main streets all of the time. My friend and I were in Valencia on holiday and had the opportunity to do a walking tour with Marcos. It was definitely the best walking tour that I have done. It was 3 hours long. We went to the Silk Exchange and all around Valencia. Marcos was SO patient and answered all of our questions and gave such an incredible history on the city. After the tour, Marcos sent us all sorts of restaurant recommendations (we went to two of the restaurants and they were both excellent), as well as places to purchase authentic items (even walking us to some of those places). Marcos helped give us a great lay of the land and helped us plan out other activities that we did, including a high speed train ride to Cuenca. He also showed us informative pictures on his iPad all along the way. I highly recommend!!!Excellent walking tour!! Best one!

Marcos hat das alte und neue Valencia für uns zum Leben erweckt. Er hat so interessant über die Zeit gesprochen, dass wir als nicht besonders geschichtlich Interessierte, gebannt waren. Ganz toll war, das Marcos sein Tablet mit Fotos dabei hatte. Wenn er über etwas sprach, konnte er Fotos dazu zeigen. Das macht alles viel lebendiger. Lustig waren auch die vielen kleinen Fun-Facts, die er über Sehenswürdigkeiten erzählen konnte. So war es nie langweilig oder trocken. Als wir ihn um Empfehlungen für eine Tapas Bar und ein restaurant gebeten hatten, kamen sofort per WhatsApp Vorschläge gleich mit Google link zur Lage. Wir können Marcos sehr empfehlen!Super Guide!!
