We were a family of 14 who participated in this activity, ranging from age 6 to 69. Everyone was included, and Dionysia was encouraging and inviting, making everyone excited to join in. I love that her whole family was helping and supporting the endeavour - also reprinting the importance of family at meals. I cannot recommend this experience enough - her keenness to provide us the best experience, paired with excellent food (and wine), patient teaching and gracious hosting - I would return for sure!!!Fantastic experience!

Our group of 15 can sometimes be hard to handle, especially with differing wants, but EVERYONE in our group LOVED our meal and time with Dionysia and her family. The food was amazing, the company was even better. Dionysia is a world class host and made us all feel so welcome and comfortable. The food was beyond delicious and everyone had such a great time participating and learning new recipes. The emphasis on local, fresh ingredients was something special, with almost everything being sourced from a friend or family member. We can’t wait to go back and visit Dionysia, our new Greek Cousin! This experience was truly a gem of my travel in Hellas, the true name of Greece. Such a unique and fantastic afternoon with Dionysia and her family! Time flew by! We highly recommend it and we will do it again next time we are in Athens. Every detail of this experience was carefully designed with us in mind, as Dionysia communicated with us to make sure we let her know what we wanted. She and her family made us feel so welcomed in their home and ensured we had enough food for the entire day!!! We could not stop eating although we knew we had had more than enough. Everything was super fresh, simply prepared but SOOO FULL of flavor, it was impossible to stop eating. We sat down in her beautifully decorated patio for three hours that seemed like 20 minutes! We talked food, family, politics and traveling the world! We could have stayed there all night sipping into that nice white wine. My new wife and I met with Dionysia the first night of our honeymoon in Greece. It was such a wonderful experience. She is such a kind, inviting lady, and her food was the best we had during our entire visit to Greece. She even went as far as have her husband come pick us up when we were having trouble finding a way to get to her house after we took the wrong bus. Although we were late, all the dishes were perfect, and our wine tasting where she shared her lovely family history and insight into the wine's origins was fascinating and very endearing. The food was plentiful, and we ate until we couldn't take another bite, although we wanted to keep going. She's even going to send us the recipes of the dishes we tried so that we can recreate the dishes at home (it will take some effort to reach her perfection, I believe, though). I would absolutely recommend this to anyone considering it. The company, food, atmosphere, and personal touch were all beyond our expectations and a fitting welcome to the spectacular country of Greece. Highlight of Greece trip

We had dinner at Dionysia's house during our trip in Greece and it was excellent. Dionysia is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about food. The meal she prepares was delicious, made with local and seasonal ingredients, which she also shared information and stories about. She was very accommodating of our dietary requirements (she prepared an amazing vegetarian moussaka) and she even helped us with a recommendation for a restaurant for the next evening (although the homemade food was of course better!). Dionysia was very warm and welcoming host, she made us feel very comfortable at her place. The setting for the dinner was very cozy, private and importantly: away from the burning July sun. The food was delicious and plenty, super flavourful and made out of local, seasonal ingredients. Dionysia told us some details and stories about the ingredients and dishes while we ate and enjoyed cold wine from her friends’s wineyard. We left full, happy and even supplied with some leftover desert to enjoy with coffee on the following day 😋 I 100% recommend the experience! Our best dinner in Greece

Dionysia was so warm and welcoming . Her food was simply delicious . The lamb n pasta n Ziziki were better than I have ever eaten . She made us feel at home . My kids had a great time with crafts that her husband had prepared for them and they enjoyed the balloon blowing n the special gift they made together too . At the last minute, I decided to book this private cooking class for my mom, my daughter (10y/o) and myself. We didn’t exactly know what to expect as we didn’t wanna make tons of things that my daughter wouldn’t like, but we wanted to make something authentic to Greece & fir it to be hands on. We thought gyros would be perfect, so we booked two days before our experience. When we showed up, we had the best time! We never stopped smiling, talking & laughing. It was super hands-on. All the food was incredibly fresh and delicious. We also felt right at home. Dionysia was charming, fun & casual which made us felt feel just like family. We all walked away feeling amazing! What a fun and memorable evening we shared with Dionysia! I had arranged a private cooking class for my daughter, two teenage grandchildren, our friends with their three teenagers and myself for our second evening in Athens. Dionysia was very warm and welcoming and her new space in this busy and bustling city was a quiet and beautiful respite. Everything was hands on. She gave us instructions and patiently demonstrated what to do then we prepared our own meal which was outstanding! We made gyros (chicken and pork), tzatziki sauce, spicy feta, and pita bread. I can’t wait to try these recipes at home! From beginning to end, the cooking class, its host, the space, and the hands-on food creations were excellent! We made pita bread that was delicious, tzatziki and a feta spread, chicken and pork cooked to perfection on the rotisserie, and even a simple but decadent dessert. All the vegetables, herbs, and seasonings were so fresh. We were made to feel right at home for a very authentic experience. Dionysia our host is knowledgeable about food, and weaves in rich Greek culture and belly-laughing stories. It was a memorable time for me and my family and I would highly recommend it! My friend and I had the loveliest time spending the evening with Dionysia. She was beyond welcoming and made us feel like we were just making dinner and catching up with “our Greek Cousin.” We started our evening preparing the dough for the homemade pitas, as we enjoyed wine and stories. Then prepped the pork and placed it on the rotisserie while we moved on to taziki and dessert. The evening was absolutely perfect! The food was amazing and we cannot wait to get home to recreate these recipes. We are very excited for our new friend’s future endeavors and hope we meet again sometime soon! My fiancé and I joined Dionysia on our final day of our 2 week Greece holiday and it was the perfect way to end the trip! We had searched through several cooking class options and ultimately chose Dionysia for the fact that 1) it was to make gyros (our favorite!) which was not an option in any other ones we found and 2) all the previous reviews left. Dionysia helped us arrange a taxi to and from her house. She made us feel very comfortable upon our arrival and she had plenty of beer and wine for us to drink the whole time! We made so much food we were so full when we left we could barely move! Overall, we had so much fun and highly recommend this to anyone interested in a cooking class while in Athens. She also told us she’d be sending a copy of the recipes we made via email which we are so excited for. Awesome experience!

Dionysia was so much fun! Excellent English skills made the flow of the lesson easy and light. Getting to cook in her lovely garden was just great. My family had an awesome time with Dionysia making Gyros and other tasty treats at her home in Athens. It was a wonderful garden setting that made everyone feel comfortable. My daughter (8), wife and I all got involved in making Pita bread from scratch, Pork Gyros, Tzatsiki and more. It was such a fun and immersive experience. We felt like a part of Dionysia's family and really got a great appreciation for homemade greek cuisine. We can't wait to try out the recipes that we learned now that we are back home. I booked this experienced kind of a last minute and so glad that I did! We had so much fun cooking together at Dionysia’s house in Athens. We are a larger family with 3 kids of different ages and this worked out perfect for us. It is completely hands on - we cooked, drunk, talked and ate! Dinner with Dionysia’s family was spectacular. Our family (including 3 kids under 10) had a wonderful experience that we continue to tell friends and family about now that we are home. We felt so comfortable with them and they were so welcoming to us in so many ways! My husband, 14 year-old daughter and I spent our last night in Athens at cooking class with Dionysia. The experience exceeded expectations and was one of the highlights of our trip. Dionysia was an engaging and skillful teacher and hostess. From the moment we arrived at her lovely outdoor patio, we felt comfortable and welcome. She involved us in each step of the cooking process and made us confident in our ability to replicate the dishes at home. Her stories of procuring local produce and the history of different dishes enhanced the experience. And the food was DELICIOUS!! Definitely come hungry! We were amazed at the simplicity of the ingredients and the depth of flavor. One of the unexpected highlights of the class was the company. Due to a glitch in the booking there was another group scheduled for the same time. Dionysia quickly communicated this to us and gave both parties to option to meet jointly or reschedule. The schedule overlap ended up being fortuitous, and it was absolutely delightful to share the evening with a mother and daughter travelling together. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that we all highly recommend. Even our 14 year-old loved it--and she is hard to please! Best cooking class ever!
