Simone was a wonderful tour guide. My children (aged 10, 12 and 14) thought the best of all time and he is definitely the best in Rome. We did many tours and Simone was the highlight of our trip. He was so engaging, getting the kids interested in history and the many secrets and secret places we never would have found. He showed us where to find the most delicious food and told us interesting stories about everything on our “treasure hunt” around Rome and stories about everything we pointed out too. Simone did a wonderful job of engaging our kids while also sharing the history of Rome. We definitely experienced a different type of tour with Simone and were grateful that it was not the same tourist garble repeated. For example, we learned not just about the coliseum but about the armory used at different times. Our younger daughter found the "find the building" activity engaging. Simone was accommodating to our pace and at the end he was extremely flexible to end the tour at a different location if we desired. Great tour

We recently took the Family Friendly Rome City Tour with Simone and had a great experience. Our group included my family of 4 (kids aged 8 & 11) and 2 grandparents. Simone was an excellent guide, using his knowledge of Rome's history and his passion for the city to provide a blend of historical insights and engaging stories that kept both the adults and kids entertained. Since we got in on a redeye the same day, about halfway through the tour, the grandparents opted to do less walking and go their separate way. Simone was very understanding and helped them find a convenient spot to rest. For the rest of us, the tour continued smoothly, and we appreciated Simone's flexibility and attentiveness to our needs. We are a family of 4 with two kiddos (11 and 7). Simone was such a wonderful guide and really great with our kids. When we asked our kids there favorite part of Rome, it was the tour with Simone. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient answering the many questions from our son and being a local, he was able to show us things we wouldn't have gotten in a large tour group. We can’t thank Simone enough for a wonderful tour of Rome. My daughters are 7 and 8 and really enjoyed the tour. It was their first time in Rome and in only 3 hours they saw and learned so much! I was also impressed with the amount of things we managed to see in just one afternoon. Simone knows Rome very well and he was very sweet with our daughters. I would totally recommend this tour! Simone was a wonderful guide. He showed us many interesting places that we certainly would not have found without his direction. Of course the usual sights like the Trevi fountain but he took through ‘open doors’ to surprises inside. We changed our plans midway through the tour due to a family misunderstanding and Simone graciously accommodated our requests. He was great with our 12 year old son, asking him lots of questions and tailoring the conversation to keep his interest in the hot weather! Simone was the perfect host - engaging, intelligent and great with both adults and kids alike. He clearly has a genuine passion for Rome and knows the city inside out, taking us to places that we wouldn’t normally have spotted in any guide book and providing us with a really educational and fascinating few hours. It’s a long tour with plenty of walking (the kids were angling for a lie down and some A/C by the end!) but well worth it, finishing with a cold beer from an authentic Roman bar in Trastevere. Our first afternoon in Rome and what a great introduction! Simone was a fabulous guide, who kept us all interested, even the tired & hot 11 year old and the 13 year old who is mostly obsessed with cars, not history. We asked him to show us the main sites, but with 'his' Rome. We definitely got to see some unusual places, that we never would have without his passion and continuing curiosity for the city he was born in. He gave us some fabulous tips, and tried to find us two of his favourite restaurants in Trastevere for dinner. Unfortunately, they were both closed (where they normally wouldn't be). We did the Family Friendly Rome City tour with Simone and he was great! His English was really good as well as his Spanish. He kept the kids engaged and interested with a scavenger hunt and list of words in Italian for them to learn. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Didn't fancy queing with the masses and being part of a large crowd so opted for 'With Locals' and found Simone. We had our 5 / 8 / 15 yrs olds with us and I couldn't have asked for a better host. Simone is Rome born and bred and he truly loves his city. Great engagement with the kids and we survived tantrum-free throughout the near 4 hour tour. The gelato was out of this world - he's well connected clearly ;) For getting to know an area 1:1 this was perfect and money well spent. Tom is een vriendelijke en spontane gids die erg goed is met kinderen. Hij weet veel weetjes en bezienswaardigheden te vinden die het waard zijn te bezoeken. We hadden bij aanvang wat regen en onweer, maar hij kwam super goed voorbereid met paraplu's. Het was een ontzettend leuke middag! En we hebben ook nog eens veel foto's van ons gezin, veelal genomen op initiatief van Tom. Super leuk, want op het moment dat je zo aan het rondkijken bent, vergeet je foto's te maken merkten we. We visited Rome for the first time and I was anxious of our trip not being too exciting for our children (6 and 8yrs) but I booked a family tour with Simone. I am sooo happy we did. From the moment we met Simone, he was very kind, welcoming and lots of passion. He caught my children attention from the first minute and kept us all entertained for our journey. The trip was very well planned and he shared some really amazing facts. He explained a lot about Rome and the history in a way that my children would understood. I would have never been able to explain in a way he did. They were so excited to hear the stories and they will remember for a long time. He planned some games as well around the fountains and churches which they thoroughly enjoyed. Simone also took us to a bakery which became our favorite place for the rest of our stay. The stop at the gelato place was another highlight which we loved. At the end of our tour he recommended restaurants and places to visit which made the rest of our stay even more exciting. On the first rainy day for 100 days in Rome, my 7.5 year old son and I were huddled under umbrellas. As soon as we met Simone he was lively and energetic, immediately grabbing my son's attention. Simone spoke to him directly, finding out what he likes (history and facts) and we were off! Simone quickly adapted the tour for my son and the weather and we had a great time underground looking at the Domitian Stadium. We then looked at the mythological and real creatures on the fountain and visited a gladiator museum. My son kept whispering to me, "Simone is really good isn't he?!" - and it's true, he is. We went on for 3.5 hours (which didn't feel like at it all) seeing the classic Rome sights as well as lesser known ones - stopping for coffee when we needed one. He took us to places where the locals go and we rounded off the tour with pizza biancha and Nutella - a big hit! I would highly recommend booking Simone. He is friendly and affable and happy to share his experiences of living in modern day Italy too. He could tell when my son's attention was wandering and could bring him back with a fun fact or question. Don't hesitate to book one of Simone's tours - with children or without.
