Our three kids really enjoyed yesterday our cooking lesson with Massimo. He cooks very good pasta and explains very well how to cook (for example making pesto). Massimo has also good knowledge about not only Rome and its history but also his travel experiences around the world. It was an absolute treat to be invited into Massimo's kitchen and have him teach the kids to cook 3 amazingly simple but delicious pasta meals. He was great at getting kids involved and our eldest can't wait to try out these recipes at home and cook for Mum and Dad. We booked this last minute when it was raining in Rome and we needed to find an indoor activity. What a blessing in disguise the rain was! From the moment we met Massimo outside his front door I knew we were in for a treat. He is engaging, friendly and has a great sense of humor. He welcomed us into his unique and warm home and had the kids prepping and cooking immediately. The pasta we made and ate (pesto, carbonara and amatriciana) were as good as any we had in high end restaurants. Plus Massimo was able to give mom and dad some tips for buying pasta and cooking sauces at home. Can't recommend this company and Massimo in particular enough! If you feel a little uneasy about the idea of stepping into a strangers home in a foreign city, just know you won't feel like strangers for long. The highlight of our trip to Rome

We had the best time with Massimo in his charming Rome apartment! He was completely prepared and flexible when we went to the wrong place first. He gave us tons of tips for cooking in general and then also some history of cooking in Rome and recipes local to the region. We spent 2.5 hours in Massimo’s home, making pizza and pasta sauce with our two and four year old boys. Massimo is excellent with the kids and made the experience educational, but fun and interactive. They loved it! Given size of his kitchen it is difficult for both parents and kids to be involved - and our only challenge is that we will need to come back to do the parents fresh pasta lesson with him! We absolutely recommend Massimo as a fun, inviting and happy host who made us feel very welcome. A great experience Excellent with the kids!

We had an amazing experience with Massimo! After reading all the wonderful reviews about him we were worried he wouldn’t have a spot for us on such late notice (we contacted him the week before our trip) and he was able to fit us in! Our kids really wanted to make pizza and we adults wanted to make pasta, he was kind enough to do both! We made pasta amatriciana and margarita pizza. Delicious!!! When we arrived he had everything prepared and ready to go for us. We have 2 young kids (2 and 4 years old) with very short attention spans and Massimo was great with them!! He was very interactive and engaging as well as incredibly patient! He had them participate in everything and they had a wonderful time! Massimo was also a wealth of information; we all learned so much about Italian cuisine and lots of great cooking tips! The food we made with him was the best food we have had thus far in Italy!!! I hope when we get home and try to replicate the recipes they taste as good as they did with him! We would absolutely recommend him to anyone and give him 5 gold stars!!!! Booked this class on a whim, and it was beyond our expectations. Massimo was very welcoming into his beautiful home. He was very friendly and accommodating. He immediately put our girls to work with prepping and was so patient with them. He took the time to explain various techniques and giving us tips to improve our own cooking. Look no further if you're considering a cooking class while visiting Rome. Massimo is the perfect, most welcoming host, and his recipes produce some of the best tasting Roman pastas! We brought our kids (6, 10) and Massimo was wonderful with them; he had them tearing basil from fresh plants for pesto, checking the various noodle types for al-dente, he taught them about ingredients, cooking techniques and more. In addition to the food experience, Massimo infuses personal stories as well as geographical and historical information into his cooking class, and you can tell he has great pride for his city and country. We were very fortunate to have a pasta class with Massimo. He was so welcoming into his home. We made three pasta dishes. Each dish was different, and we appreciated the variety. We couldn't have wished for a better experience!!! Massimo is an amazing and wonderful host and chef, we were 4 people who attended: grandpa, grandma and 2 grandchildren (a girl- 12, and a boy- 9). Massimo was so charming and included the kids in every step of the preparations, they enjoyed every minute of the 2 hour class! They helped prepare the pasta sauces, and then loved eating the 3 different types of pasta that they had helped to prepare :-)) (as did their grandparents!!!). What an amazing experience, we can't thank you enough, Massimo, for enriching our trip to Rome with such a fantastic cooking class and for your gracious hosting us in your home. Took three kids to the ‘make pasta from scratch’ session. I asked them what they’d score it out of 10. They said hundred. We all loved it. Massimo was terrific: welcoming, patient, clear — and fun. Massimo (who speaks excellent English) invited us into his home to learn how to make 3 tasty pasta dishes! He was excellent with our 7 year old who he included in the cooking process. In addition to the good food Massimo gave us a fantastic insight into family life in Rome in the current day. A great contrast from the wealth of history that surrounds you.
