I booked an all day private tour with Sara and she was amazing. She was able to speed the tour up and skip a few things to appease our crowd. It was about 100 degrees and everyone was done after a few hours. We still got to see all the highlights we wanted to and had an expert in our pocket throughout the day. Great day with Sara. He tailored everything to our preferences (including breakfast place recommendations and switching meeting place to our Trastevere neighbourhood). With our two boys (15 & 11) and in an actual heatwave, Max made sure we saw all the key sights, found us shade and water (and gelato) along the way and held their attention the whole time. He had a wonderful time walking with and learning from Max. He is incredibly engaging, crazy smart, but has the agility to communicate with individuals of all ages and interests. This was our first time using the With Locals platform. We loved that we got to pick our guide and that we were put in contact with him after booking, allowing for easy communication. Our group was a mix of people who had been to Rome before and some who hadn’t, including two small children ages 5 and 3. Max was able to put together a tour that kept everyone entertained. He was extremely patient with our two children. He showed us a wonderful toy store and played games with the children along the tour. We were able to see all of the main highlights in the city center with some hidden gems for those of us who had been to Rome before. My family and I did our first walking tour of Rome with Max. Max wss super communicative from the start, chill and very easy to talk to . He’s funny, kind and very accommodating . We had 2 kids who weren’t always the best behaved through the 3 hour tour ( some tantrums and fights along the way) but he was super patient and went with the flow. He took us to this amazing gelato place too :) Max had lots of stories to tell which made all the history so fascinating - his depth of knowledge and all those details that he knows are clearly impressive . Auf unserer Rom Städtetour Anfang Mai 2025, haben wir Romain für eine 5 Stunden Full Coverage Rome City Tour gebucht. Zuerst einmal möchten wir uns noch einmal bei Romain für seine unglaubliche Flexibilität und seinen Kundenservice bedanken, da wir aufgrund von Anreiseproblemen erst mit 8 Stunden Verspätung in Rom eingetroffen sind und den vereinbarten Termin mit Romain nicht einhalten konnten. Internet sei Dank, klappte die direkte Kommunikation und Romain hat uns angeboten die Tour zu splitten, so das wir am Anreisetag 2 Stunden und am Folgetag 3 Stunden das Vergnügen hatten uns von Romain fachkundig, mit vielen Anekdoten und Hintergrundinformationen versehen, durch diese erstaunliche Stadt führen zu lassen. Oft liefen wir abseits der überlaufenen Touristenattraktionen, entdeckten versteckte Hinterhöfe, gingen kleine, schmale Gassen entlang, um plötzlich wieder auf einer belebten Piazza heraus zu kommen um dann in der nächsten Gasse weitere Jahrhundert alte Säulen und von außen völlig unscheinbare Gebäude, kaum als Kirche zu identifizieren, zu entdecken, die dem Besucher viele Malereien und andere Schätze bereit hält. Wir können nur jedem, der eine Städtetour abseits der normalen Wege sucht ( Closseum, Vatikan etc. sind groß genug, die findet man auch allein ;) ) eine ausgedehnte Tour mit Romain absolut empfehlen und würden diese auch jederzeit wieder buchen, da es noch viel mehr zu sehen gibt. 11 von 10 Sternen.Full Coverage mit Romain. Dina took us on a great tour of the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery. She was very responsive in planning our tour and made adjustments based on what I requested. She was willing to do less than the usual 4 hour tour since we thiught that would be too long for us. Dina was such a great guide that she made our time at the museums one of our favorite activities. She knew just the right pace to go and how much detail to give us to keep it interesting for our group of six. Aside from being so informative she was so fun and easy to be with. Our guide, Chiara, was very friendly and had the right pace for the day. She answered our questions and kept us moving, but did not feel rushed. We liked that she focuses on local establishments (not chains) and has relationships with local vendors. The market was great to explore (Clare gave us time to shop, too!) and we loved seeing the restaurant's wine cellar. I liked that this tour spent more quality time in a particular area, rather than running around trying to see all the attractions. I would recommend this tour to others as a great way to get to know a neighborhood that is a bit off the beaten tourist track in Romegood way to explore the Testaccio area

A casual stroll about the city, but worth every turn and dodged Vespa! We were shown epic churches, wine shops, lunch places and local spots! We ended up going back for lunch / espresso at recommended spots! Epic! We were shown “off the tourist” path things- details you can research unless a local shares the details! I got a guide to the Vatican for my dad, brother & sister in law and Elenora was fantastic from the start. She reached out to me immediately so I could give her the details of the booking and most importantly, that I would not be apart of it. This tour was originally booked for a week after the pope passed away, and as soon as the news released that the pope had passed, she reached out to me to start figuring out a solve & seeing if the tour was still a possibility. Elenora was focused on still making this experience all it could be and we ultimately were able to change the day of the tour so they would have full access to the Vatican. They had an excellent time and I couldn’t be more grateful to Elenora for being proactive and committed to making this tour happen. The tour was ultimately a highlight of their trip! Excellent communicator & guide!
