We booked Julien through a referral from a friend and this was easily one of the best things we did on our honeymoon. Julien was amazing. He made the Louvre feel personal, approachable, and honestly kind of magical. I’m not an art expert by any stretch, but he made everything feel interesting and easy to understand. The way he told the stories behind the paintings and sculptures really brought them to life. We didn’t have a direction or focus we wanted and entrusted our experience to him. He also picked up on the fact that we were on our honeymoon and added these thoughtful touches throughout the tour. He pointed out romantic pieces, shared cool little hidden spots, and just made the whole experience feel tailored to us. It didn’t feel like a tour, it felt like walking through the museum with a super knowledgeable friend who really cared about making it memorable for us. We wanted to book a tour to make the most of our Louvre experience both for us and our children aged 11 and 13 rather than be overwhelmed with such an huge collection of art and the crowds. We are not art experts and wanted to have a tour guide help us to get the most from the experience and enhance our understanding and appreciation of the amazing and notable pieces on display. We weren’t sure booking a group tour would keep them engaged and give us what we were after so we opted for a personal tour with Bibiana. We found Bibiana to be warm, friendly and fun and in our time together she covered the early history of the Louvre when it was a palace showing us the old foundations and taking us back in time in the history of France before helping enlighten us on the evolution of Greek and Roman sculptures and art. Both my husband and I felt Bibiana gave us a whole new appreciation for the more famous pieces by classical masters and by the time we parted we felt like experts and could admire the art in a whole new way. We appreciated that Bibiana also made sure to engage our children asking them questions and pointing out aspects to them throughout the tour as well. We were able to skip the line to enter through an alternative entry which was also a bonus and time saver given we visited during the Summer when crowds are at their peak. Overall I definitely felt touring with Bibiana enhanced our overall Louvre experience. A fantastic Louvre experience

We had a wonderful tour with Emilie! She was so friendly and knowledgeable and kept our jet-lagged group of 4 engaged throughout our two hours. We knew we would be tired after an overnight flight and wanted to see the highlights of the museum (Mona Lisa, Winged Victory, Venus de Milo, etc.), and she showed us all of those and more. I especially appreciated seeing some of the original stone of the palace from the lower level and learning the original history of the location and museum. Emilie was so kind and informative. We met the smiling Bibiana in front of the Musee D'Orsay, which had been unexpectedly closed for technical reasons. The queues outside were kilometric! Bibiana skillfully navigated us through the crowds and has us inside the building within minutes. Our family of four loved our Louvre tour with Emilie! I told her our daughters' ages in advance and she prepared a special tour for them, and made sure to point out things of interest for their age level. She saved us a TON of time from skipping the entry line, to being able to use the group visit rest room, to making sure we saw all the important works within our two hours there (the kids can only really muster so much time in a museum before they start losing it :)). Her knowledge of the art and the history was fantastic, and she answered all our questions patiently. She really explained the history behind each painting and made it interesting for all of us. A lively and insightful tour of Montmartre touching on architecture, civic history, art, local crafts and Paris’s signature bakery seductions. Having mentioned that I was step-averse, our local guide, Bibiana, devised a way to get to the basilica with as few stairs as possible. Julien was our guide for a tour in het Louvre a week ago, for me and my twelve year old daughter. Julien advise us to start a little early (8:45 am), to be able to see the Mona Lisa before large groups of (Asian) tourists poured into the hall where the painting is exhibited. And good advice it was….we had pretty much uninterrupted views of the painting for about 5 minutes. We experienced a small thrill from running through the hallways and the corridors of the Louvre (just follow the guide...) to be at the painting as soon as possible. Apart from this nice episode, Julien is very kind and friendly and has extensive knowledge of the Louvre building, its history and occupants and the artwork on display, for instance the 18th century French painters, the jewellery, the Greek and Roman statues etc. etc. Also he asked my daughter a lot of questions about the museum and paintings and involved her a lot in the explanation of the artworks. My family of four selected Julien to guide us through the Louvre to see some highlights. I had sent him a note just the evening before requesting a few things to see with as much context and story telling as he could provide. We saw everything I requested and then some, but more importantly, Julien pointed out things that brought the artwork to life and gave it meaning, providing history, context, and fun facts. He was engaging with the whole family, and I highly recommend him! I so enjoyed this tour with Julien. Big bonus that when you book with a guide, you skip the long admission lines. First of all, Julien was spectacular!!! BUT, tickets were not available when we showed up when our voucher specifically stated not to buy tickets and just pay cash to Julien who would have the tickets. Your website should state to purchase the tickets at the same time you book a guide!?!?! But he helped us reschedule another day, but the tickets available had to be a package so we’re a lot more money. The tour of the D'Orsay with Julien was great! First, Julien offered to buy the tickets for us before the tour to save time (we, of course, reimbursed him for the tickets) - it was wonderful that we could just meet him at the entrance and walk into the museum. Once the tour began, Julien's knowledge of the artists and their works was incredible and he kept us engaged throughout the time. We felt that we saw and learned so much during our time together. And when we needed a little break during the tour, Julien was so accomodating and immediately pivoted to explaining other art pieces to us while we rested. Communication with Julien prior to the day of the tour was great! He kept us informed of all of the important details, including the place to meet him on the day of the tour. He purchased our admission tickets to the Louvre in advance, and was waiting in the line to enter the museum before it opened. Once it opened we very quickly made our way to see the Mona Lisa and it gave us a great view before the crowds arrived. He continued yes to point out the highlights of the Louvre and explained a lot of detail in the paintings to really help us understand the artists perspective. We had an enjoyable morning at the Louvre with Bibiana who is an expert in Renaissance Art. We started touring from the foundation of the Louvre understanding how the palace turned into a great museum before maneuvering between the most iconic exhibits of the Louvre.
