A delicant mixture of history, architecture, culture and local food, all woven together by Yorgos astounding ability to tell stories. My little brother, not the type to be fascinated with anything but football was impressed by how much he enjoyed the tour. After the tour we all had a feeling we had gotten to know the city through a perspective that other tourists around us were not able to. Thomas took my travel group of 8 around Athens for half a day and everyone had a fabulous time. Thomas is engaging and knowledgeable. He first made sure that the rest of our stay in Athens was well scripted and made useful suggestions. Then we set off pounding the pavement and the time flew by in an instant. Between the historical background, the anecdotes, and the jokes, even the teenagers were engaged which happens approximately never. He catered expertly to the needs of our very needy group, including pit stops of different varieties. Great time; highly recommended!An expert with a great personality!

We would highly recommend Voula. Our group of 4 ladies booked a 5 hour walking/food tour with Voula and we are still talking about it today. Voula was so knowledgeable and personable . Guiding us around was like she was one of our friend group. After meeting for 9:00am we headed over for a mini tasting of a cheese pie and a milk cream pie. From there we explored the history of Athens. Lunch with so many tapas was incredible followed by an olive market sampling. We tried so many different olives. Off to see many different markets including the fish and meat market where Voula arranged a sampling of a Souvlaki a recipe from Northern Greece before heading off for desert of honey donuts and ice coffee. It was the most perfect tour we’ve had yet. Everywhere she took us the people were incredible. One VERY important thing to note, a lady in our group was celiac (very special diet because she also had food allergies) and Voula did an absolute incredible job to manage this. Our friend ate like a queen that day and she was so grateful for that experience. Thank you Voula for that. We highly recommend Voula……Voula thank you once again. It was a perfect day. Ioannis took our group of 4 on a five hour tour of Athens. Ioannis was incredible in his knowledge on just about everything Greek-mythology, ancient history, current history, art, food, music, architecture, and politics. We had a great two days with Thomas, and I highly recommend him to anyone visiting Athens. Our first day was a five hour walking tour of the city, and we had such a great time that a few days later we booked and went on a driving tour exploring the Athens Riviera and the Temple of Poseidon. Both days felt like spending time with a good friend. Thomas is extremely knowledgable about the city and its history, sharing stories and answering questions. He clearly loves what he does, and wants to ensure anyone booking an experience with him has a great time. On both days, he definitely showed us 'hidden gems' that we wouldn't have found by ourselves, which definitely added to the experience. We'd consider a trip back to Athens just to do more of Thomas' experiences! Excellent experience - highly recommend!

I had an incredible experience with Ioannis on an off-the-beaten-path tour of Athens. From the very beginning, he really listened to what I was interested in and tailored the tour to match. He took us through local neighborhoods that combined street art, culture, and history in such a thoughtful way. One of the highlights was when he showed us some hard-to-find ancient frescoes tucked away in an area I would have walked right past if I were on my own. We truly can't begin to fully express how wonderful Voula was on our food tour! From the minute we met her, she made us feel like family. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable about Greek foods, she also shared with us historical and cultural information. She paced the tour perfectly, and we were able to try so many delicious foods. My elderly mother was supposed to be on the tour (which Voula welcomed and helped us plan for!), but at the last minute, was unable to make it. Eleni has a depth of knowledge about the city from her familial roots in Athens and her deep studies and research as an archaeologist. We learned about so much more than food. Speaking of, the food tour took us to over 5 places where we must have tried over 10 dishes and sweet treats. Her energy is very calming and she knows all the best spots for each dish. You can find almost any dish in any of the Greek restaurants and bakeries, but Eleni knew where to find the long-standing locals joints and led us through several beautiful neighborhoods. We covered a lot of territory, from the classical sites to off the beaten path. We had originally wanted to get up to the Acropolis, but bad timing on my part prevented our ability to get tickets. We wanted a private tour for four people the day after our daughter’s wedding on what ended up being the hottest day in Athens so far this year. HOT 🥵 Alexandros took care of everything and took great care of us. We went into the air conditioned museum and learned about fascinating parts of Greek history and the museum would have meant so much less without Alexandros. Then onto the climb to the Acropolis. We stopped in shady spots along the way for him to explain what we were seeing. There is so much more there than we realized. Alexandros made it all very interesting and he has a great personality. We had a fantastic food tour with Voula last week. We were so happy that we decided on a private tour and that we picked Voula as our guide. We enjoyed it from start to finish, and it felt more like exploring authentic Athens with a friend than a guide. The places she took us to were all amazing, and she is very knowledgeable about both the food culture and the history of Athens. Other guides can – understandably – seem like they are just delivering a memorized monologue for the 100th time. With Voula, we did not feel that way, and she was very interested in engaging with us and answering all our stupid questions.
