I couldn't believe how quickly the 5 hours went by! Jordi was engaging, passionate, and thoughtful during our entire time together. Walking through various areas of the city, he re-introduced me to Barcelona from a historical, cultural and architectural perspective. It was truly the best way to start my 2 weeks visit as I had a great grasp of the different areas and where I wanted to go back to spend more time. Our original tour guide canceled on us but Octavio jumped right in and saved the day! We only had a few hours in Barcelona and wanted to see as much as we could. Octavio showed us so many sites and gave us history lessons that included a wide knowledge of architecture styles of buildings/homes and monuments/art pieces. He showed us some of his favorite things as well. The churros with chocolate dipping sauce were sooo good! We ended it all with a glass of champagne and a really good restaurant recommendation. We toured Barcelona with Octavio in July ‘25. We did a 3 hour walking tour and it was great. He took us beyond the main sites and provided great insight and explanations. We had two teenage boys and the brief was to keep it high energy and entertaining. Octavio did this - interesting stories, food markets and a detour to the best Churros in town! He left us with a heap of restaurant, bar and ice cream recommendations, so we benefitted from his guiding for several days thereafter. We had an unforgettable time at Montserrat with Ivanna. This was our second time booking a tour with her and it’s always a pleasure. The ride up the mountain was great, she had the foresight to ask if I was afraid of heights (which I am!) and made accommodations to avoid using the cable car. Lars was was a superb guide, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Gave us a tour of the Gothic quarter with excellent food tastings. Even got a good review from our usually grumpy teenage son, to put things in perspective this means it was his highlight of Barcelona! Expected a few nibbles but we had quality food, from places we'd never have picked out. 1000x better than a group tour or wondering around on your own. My entire family wants to say a big “Thank You” to Bianca for being such an outstanding guide during our recent visit to Barcelona. After the airline unexpectedly cancelled our arrival flight, we arrived in town a day late and a bit stressed because we missed our originally booked 10 Tastings tour with another guide. After seeing that Bianca was available, the best decision we made was to book a three hour tour with her of the Gothic quarter. She is an excellent communicator who captured the attention of our teens by sharing her personal stories and excitement for the city. Our youngest child has some special challenges, and without us having time to discuss the situation with her beforehand, Bianca intuitively understood how to best navigate the situation in a way that worked for every person in our group. Bianca was also able to include some food tastings when making our way between sites, which made it possible for us to not miss out on some fun eats along with the sight seeing. Bianca’s compassion and knowledge as a local were a winning combination that really saved the day and made our trip to Barcelona a true adventure. I would not hesitate to recommend Bianca for a booking. She is a top-level professional with a heart who made our visit to Barcelona a positive experience that we will not soon forget!Bianca is the Best!

My wife and I were in Barcelona for three days following a 2-week Mediterranean cruise, and we had no plans in place. I found Ivanna on the "With Locals" website... it was somewhat last-minute, but thankfully she was available. Our 4-hour personal tour was excellent. She started by showing us (and teaching us about) the sights and architecture around La Rambla. She even showed us a "hidden" Roman wall that most people - including many who live in Barcelona - were unaware of. As she learned more about our interest in the culture, people, and history, she walked us through the old, and new, sections of the city. She pointed out architectural points, even explaining that one of the most famous churches in the Gothic district wasn't actually original to that time, even though it looks like it should be - and she had photos to prove it! She gave us history lessons, told us stories, and helped us to "feel" the city we were visiting. We stopped for a drink at one of her favorite locations - Els 4 Cats - where Picasso used to meet with his friends... and then she was kind enough to introduce us to the owner and surprised us with reservations for dinner there the next night. Bottom line, Ivanna offered us not only the best private tour we've ever experienced, she shared herself and her love of the city with us... she was wonderful. My girlfriend and I had a great dancingnight with Gonzalo and his wife. They took us to a dancing place in Gracia. We had our first lesson in bachata and salsa with a couple of other people in the bar. We learned the first basics of bachata, also as a couple. Contact with Gonzalo and Rebecca was easy and nice.
