My 14 yo grandson and I loved our tour with Seth. He told so many pertinent stories to our discussions on what happened in Berlin in WWII and showed us many photos of the original buildings that we discussed that were no longer there. We definitely got what we paid for and more - Seth showed us the Jewish Quarter, many beautiful memorials, talked about the damage that occurred as the Soviet’s arrived, told stories about many events during the war, and captivated us for the entire morning. The tour was well paced (including a stop at Starbucks for some sustenance for my grandson) and the rain didn’t stop him or us for a minute - in fact we hardly noticed it was raining (not!). On a special note, I asked Seth about Jazz clubs as this is a special interest of ours and he went above and beyond, doing research and giving us a list before arrival. I’ll call Seth again the next time we are in Berlin!! So many stories

I’d told myself I’d return to Berlin once all the pandemic stuff settled down, and I finally made it back in October 2022. Alex really knows his way around the city. He was flexible and accommodating when my cousin and I had some last-minute changes, which we really appreciated. Even though this was my third time in Berlin, there was still plenty I hadn’t seen. We got a great view of the city from a hilltop and popped into a second-hand bookstore that had tons of charm. Alex’s humor and energy really brought the experience to life. We booked Michèle through a word-of-mouth suggestion and it was a great call. Michèle was exactly the right blend of knowledgable, relaxed and helpful. She didn't rush, she listened to our needs and preferences and tailored our tour so well. It was much more like being with a friend than a "tour guide". Not knowing Berlin really at all we were slightly apprehensive at the prospect of biking in a big city, but it was perfect - most of the tour is not on busy streets, and even the busier bits were relatively calm. This was my first time in Berlin and I didn’t choose the tourist highlights although even on this ‘off the beaten track’ tour there were large groups of tourists going through these areas. Miha was very knowledgeable and helped orient me to the area and point out the street art. Spent a wonderful day with Seth visiting the house where the Wannsee Conference was held, then we went to see the KGB Prison at Leistikowstraße, and finally walked through Potsdam, visiting the Dutch Quarter, having lunch and hearing great stories about WW2 and the Cold War. Seth helped us plan our day and set our itinerary around what we suggested and then made his own recommendations so the logistics of our travels made sense.
