Had the pleasure of booking Pablo for the 5hr walking tour of Buenos Aires earlier this month. Unfortunately we also experienced 5hrs of rain, however this didn’t deter Pablo We ended up seeing a lot of the architectural gems of BA, which we definitely would not have seen if we were left to our own devices. We ended up walking around 10kms with subway and bus travel included. Pablo even led us to the best Haledo in BA. His English is very good and we had no trouble communicating. Veronica was great and up to a couple scheduling and itinerary challenges. We had already done the 3 hour bus tour of Buenos Aires as part of a pre-cruise extension. We did the 5 hour Buenos Aires tour with Veronica during a post-cruise free day and she provided a great alternative mostly walking path through some areas the bus didn't visit or the bus just pointed to out the window. Veronica even had us revisit a couple places for a more in depth experience. We also enjoyed being able to chat with Veronica and ask questions while walking which isn't something that's possible during a larger group bus tour. Very personable and well informed

Julieta is a terrific guide -- very friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. When a spontaneous gathering to mark the death of Pope Francis blocked some of the stops she had planned, she just changed our route a little -- no big deal! She also found a good balance between making sure we saw the highlights and avoiding spots overcrowded with tourists. Plus, we got to see some things off of the main tourist beat, including a historic tango coffee parlor and an italian pizza joint beloved by the locals. A thrilling, exciting way to see the city. Being on a bike allows you to cover the city well. José showed us all the sites, but more importantly shared with us what it means to live in this amazing city. His enthusiasm and love for his city comes across well. His English is brilliant, so we clearly understood every new and interesting piece of information or story he told. Our only piece of advice relates around the bike. You will be on busy roads for over 2hrs and although pretty flat. You do need to be competent on a bike and have to be able to ride for over 2hrs. If you can, we guarantee you will have the trip of a lifetime with José Amazing

Wow. I never would have thought I knew a giant city after only three days, but thanks to the amazing Julieta, I did. Simply put, she made our trip an incredible experience. Not only does she know the city and all of its fascinating history, she is a hell of a lot of fun to spend three days with. I've had many tour guides in cities all over the world and most know their stuff and are kind and courteous. Julieta is all of that but SO MUCH MORE. She brought a passion to each day that made us look forward to seeing her and sad to say goodbye. We left Buenos Aires with a deep love of the city and its people and a true friendship with Julieta. I only wish she grew up in all the other cities of the world, so she could guide me through them, as well. I totally enjoyed myself on this tour. Belgrano is not a tourist area but it may well should be. In fact, I think it's better than. some tourist areas like Palermo. It is full of energy, stores, market, a church, museums, bookstores, restaurants, the only Chinatown in Argentina, public squares, gardens, it's fantastic. If I ever return, I would most definitely stay in this area. Pablo was extremely personable. He was on time, very knowledgeable of the area, courteous, go at our place and a true gentleman. Our tour guide was Veronica. The first impression was not good when the tour guide Veronica arrived 30 mins late., she did try to contact us, but without internet or phone access this was no good. The tour started with a walk around the historic building explaining the history of Buenos Aires. We saw the changing of the guard was good to see, but took up nearly an hour of the tour. Then started the food tour, first visit was a fast-food shop that sold filled churros, another deep-fried pastry and cheese chipa balls. Rather than having one each these cut into two or four pieces just to have a taste, we had cheese chipa each, and a cup of coffee. Next look at a sandwich shop that sold plain sandwiches, we did try any of these, then she showed us a posh coffee and cake café, but we did not have anything there, then more history and then to a pizza café, where we had empanadas and pizza, and a coke. We then walked to an ice cream shop, which was closed, so no ice cream. On all other food tours, we've also tried local alcoholic drinks. She appeared in a rush to get to another appointment. She spent a lot of time talking about herself, how good she was as a translator, historian and all her qualifications etc. Also wanted to know what days we were free to sell us more events, which was uncomfortable. Not really what we were expecting when you think of the wide variety of food unique to Argentina. So basically, it was a historic tour with some food, not the 10 Tastings of Buenos Aires. My wife and I took at 10 tasting tour with Julieta and it was a wonderful way to learn more about Buenos Aires, enjoy the food, and understand the culture of the people living there. Julieta is a bundle of energy! From the first minute, you can feel the passion she has both for the food and the city she grew up in. She has also worked in other countries (Spain) and was able to contrast two similar yet different culture. From her introduction of Plaza De Mayo to her narrative about each of the eateries we went to, she was able to immerse us into the city. The tour includes the greatest hits in the city center along with all the street food you must try while in BA. We stopped at several eateries that were "must stops" in many guides. This includes La Americana (empanadas), Guerrin (pizza), and Cadore (gelato). At each stop, Julieta made sure that we know the food, why this eatery was chosen, and how to eat it. At a couple of stops, we got beer or wine. This helps with the hot summer day that we were there. I would definitely recommend Julieta as a guide for this tour. There is plenty of food. My wife and I had to asked for half portions at the end of the tour (except for the Gelato). Even if you are not full with the food, you would be full of the same passion Julieta has for her city. A wonderful way to understand Buenos Aires

Our tour with Julieta exceeded expectations. We easily connected with her in the middle of Plaza de Mayo and started our tour from there. The pacing was perfect as we chose to generally share tastes to preserve room in our stomach. Definitely a hidden gem - have been to recoleta cemetery before and we liked this one better actually. It's way less touristy, more authentic and shows 3 different styles of cemeteries and the entrance is free. The guides explanations and stories made it even more interesting.
