Ramses was charming company. Very knowledgeable about Islamic history but judged well how much information we could digest. He showed us some key historical highlights but balanced this with a walking tour of the markets and a stop for tea in a local cafe. He made sure we got back to our hotel safely. This was our second tour with Nesreen and it was excellent. She helped us navigate this big museum and avoid the crowds. She gave us time to enjoy the exhibits and taught us a lot in a fun and interesting way. Nesreen is a total professional tour guide! We mixed up and went to the wrong meeting place for the start of the tour but she collected us and got the tour back on track! She is extremely knowledgeable and very informative but able to explain history in appropriate ways that our teenager twins really enjoyed and found entertaining! We had the best time together with Nesreen. For 1,5 day she took care of us in the best way possible . She is open to anything, and we made so much out of the 1,5 day we had. We visited famous sites but also less famous authentic places which made it the best combination. She has an incredible knowledge about everything, we learned so much ! Nesreen was an absolutely wonderful guide. She is so warm and fun, she made us feel very welcome. She did everything to make us comfortable and adjust the pace based on our needs. She helped us navigate a busy market and taught us how to interact with the venders while shopping there. Excellent tour, Nesreen has excellent English and is detailed in her knowledge of Cairo its history, religions, politics, traditions and practices. For us she filled in a lot of the intricate background to the souks buildings, their functions and artisan trades; pointing out areas and things we would never spot and talking to traders we would not approach. Moustafa and a driver picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the GEM where he guided us through the museum at a pace that was perfect for us to see the highlights and avoid the crowds. We really enjoyed our half-day guided tour with Moustafa! We were a group of 5 adults and one 3-year-old child, and he catered extremely well to all of our needs and interests: he explained the history and mythology of the site, led us to less busy places and into a small tomb we would have never found ourselves, was always upbeat, personable and considerate and made sure that the child in our group had a great time too. At the end of our tour, Moustafa showed us a local lunch spot where the food was absolutely delicious — again, we wouldn't have found it on our own.Giza pyramids off the beaten track :)

With less than 24hrs notice with extremely fast responses from Mohamed I was able to book a fully customised tour afternoon/evening tour of Cairo. In a few messages Mohamed was able to gauge what I wanted to do, suggest a plan and get everything confirmed. He offered to collect me from my flight and drop me back to my hotel later that evening removing any stress from my arrival and leaving me to relax and look forward to the tour. We visited Koshari Abu Tarekand had the legendary Koshari dish, a not to be missed experience. Then on to a walk through the markets of the old town starting at the victory gate - complete with a glass of sugar cane juice, and ended the evening with tickets to see Mazaher, one of the rare ensembles in which women play a leading role. The musicians of Mazaher are among the last remaining Zar practitioners in Egypt and this event that happens every Wednesday was sold out but thanks to Mohamed’s negotiating skills we were able to gain access. I felt very privileged to see such an uplifting performance. This was a last minute trip, I hadn’t had chance to research what was important to see and do and Mohamed managed to fill the time we had together with just the right experiences. He even managed to fit in a stop to get a phone charger and exchange some cash - two things that were causing me stress on arrival. Great to see a young guy with passion about his country eager to ensure visitors have the best experience during their visit. TLDR: Tour with Ramses, it'll be the best decision you make. We had an absolutely amazing time with Ramses. From the beginning, everything was so easy. We were in Cairo for a week (2 adults & a 7-year old) and wanted to take our time seeing the sites. We contacted Ramses with our time constraints and interests, and together we constructed the perfect itinerary. Over five days, we saw the Giza pyramids, Saqqara & Dashur, Alexandria, Islamic & Coptic Cairo, the National Museum of Civilisation, Grand Egyptian Museum, Egyptian Museum, Khan El-Khalili Market, Muhammed Ali's Palace, and the Citadel. With his local knowledge, we avoided the crowds and were able to enjoy learning about Egypt without feeling rushed or crushed. Ramses is inspiring, friendly, warm, and easy to be around. His depth of knowledge is astounding. It was great learning about Cairo and watching our daughter love learning about Ancient Egypt. She hadn't wanted to go on the trip and by the end of the first day, she was fascinated! Beyond the tour, Ramses is an invaluable part of any Cairo trip. One of our suitcases was delayed in arriving to Cairo. Ramses was beyond helpful, calling the airport on our behalf, sending follow-up messages and adjusting our itinerary so that we could collect the wayward bag. He convinced our daughter to try new foods and go inside of pyramids (she was initially a bit scared). He is pure magic. Ramses arranged all transport and it was smooth, comfortable, and easy. Iman, our driver, navigated the traffic with ease and made visiting multiple sites in one day seamless and stress-free. His English was excellent and two days on we are pleased to report that we did not get sick from any of the locations he took us to. Mostafa's knowledge of Cario's culture, food and history made this tour the perfect way to experience the city. Nana is a wonderful guide - a warm, empathetic and joyful person who made me feel instantly at ease. I am a woman and was travelling solo; she took great care to keep me safe during drop-offs and pickups, and allowed me to see a side of Cairo I would have been unable to access either alone or through a standard tour company. We attended a concert under moonlight at the Citadel, and wound our way through backstreets visiting local restaurants, mosques and brass-making workshops. It was brilliant.
