Giuly was wonderful, but we had children, aged 7 & 10, and the tour was difficult for them. I think accommodations need to be made if children are in the mix. There was an amazing amount of information, and Giuly was warm and lovely, but it was just overwhelming for the little ones.

In contrast to its listed description, we did not experience 10 different food/drink tastings and the tour was not customizable to our wishes. We booked a private Uffizi highlights tour with Alessia for €255. Unfortunately, she never contacted us in advance and only responded when I messaged her the morning of—at which point she canceled, saying she was sick. While we understand that things happen, there was no proactive communication. We also weren’t told that we needed to purchase our own museum admission tickets. The listing states “skip the line access,” so we assumed the tour fee would be paid to the guide. This should be clearly outlined in the tour description and confirmed ahead of time by the guide. Thankfully, Maja stepped in at the last minute and was truly fantastic. She was warm, knowledgeable, and brought the art to life with stories and historical context that made the Uffizi unforgettable. We’d rate Maja a 10 out of 10 and would absolutely recommend her. That said, since Alessia did not communicate proactively or officially transfer the booking, our overall experience with the original guide was a generous 7 of 10.

We had the most lovely tour with Alessandra— you should absolutely book with her! She is a warm and knowledgeable host who knows all the ins and outs of Florence. She joined my family of two parents and two teenage girls and took us into an area I would not have found. It was like seeing all of the local spots buried in a touristy area - beautiful! We loved visiting a few old churches (with incredible frescoes and histories to enjoy), and squares, and got to take in a beautiful view, as well as some modern art. After learning that we are avid readers, she found a lovely bookshop/cafe for us to relax and cool down with a coffee and snack - we were the only Americans there, which I can’t say about anywhere else we have visited! She also found us some tickets to a classical music concert for that evening, AND dropped us off at a wonderful trattoria (again- local!) for lunch. She really tailored the day to what we wanted. Giuly was wonderful! We asked her to put together a personal tour of the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens for my nephew and myself and Guily delivered. She was thorough and yet provided space to allow our experience of what she was showing us. We found this to be a nice balance of information and experience. Not only that but she connected our experience with other historical landmarks in relation to the Palace and Gardens that were in different parts of Florence. This gave us a larger perspective of understanding the time in which we were peering into. Guily herself was delighful, light hearted, and attuned to our experience and pacing. She was helpful with other recommendations about what to do in the city from resturants to piazzas. My 18 uear old nephew even commented that it was one of his favorite tours because it was so easliy informative but digestable. Giorgio took us on a great food and local knowledge tour of Florence. We started with a very informative stroll through the farmers market. Next, we walked through the streets as he explained some of the historic buildings and the stories behind them. Dina took us on a great tour of the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery. She was very responsive in planning our tour and made adjustments based on what I requested. She was willing to do less than the usual 4 hour tour since we thiught that would be too long for us. Dina was such a great guide that she made our time at the museums one of our favorite activities. She knew just the right pace to go and how much detail to give us to keep it interesting for our group of six. Aside from being so informative she was so fun and easy to be with.
