Our group of 4 enjoyed a great private tour in the heart of KL’s Chinatown with Siddoz and his trainee (Steve?). Siddoz was firstly very patient and understanding as we were delayed in KL traffic for ~15 mins. He catered to my fussy parents, explained the dishes we were trying and introduced us to foods we wouldn’t have ordinarily tried. He also took us to a couple of really cool spots for photo ops, some of the best photos on our holiday (thanks Steve, our personal photographer too!). They were both very personable, felt like chatting to old friends. Culinary and cultural adventure through KL

We had requested a food tour focused on authentic local cuisine and street food that the locals eat here. I am a foodie and amateur cook myself, having lived and worked on three continents – most recently for three years in China. My interest always lies in the true local cuisines of ordinary people. I had not yet experienced Malaysian cuisine firsthand. Through Siddoz, we learned more about this cuisine in one evening than we could have on our own in a week. Adnan is a class act! Picked us up at the hotel and took us to Batu Caves. Pleasant conversation during the ride and walk. Lots of great insights into the history of the area afterwards, he recommended the hot springs and water falls. This was a much more local experience and the family really enjoyed it. At the end, he dropped us off at our destination of choice (which was good because a huge thunderstorm hit shortly after). Vehicle was clean, comfortable, and made the experience better! A must hire for your trip to KL!Awesome time with a great host!

Siddoz guided us to some good food which was a useful introduction to Malaysian cuisine. He spent quite a lot of time on his phone so there wasn't a lot of interaction between us but he knew his way around the best food stalls which was really what we were interested in! Het was heel leuk om met TK op stap te gaan. Naast de heerlijke Food tour, nam hij ons ook mee naar een feest van het Chinese nieuwjaar, dit was voor ons een extra inkijkje in de cultuur, wat wij erg leuk vonden. Verder gaf TK ons nog allerlei andere interessante tips. TK weet veel over het eten en welke plaatselijke dingen je echt moet hebben geproefd. Dank je wel, TK!Het was geweldig!

Johan connaît très bien Kuala Lumpur, il nous a appris beaucoup de choses sur la vie quotidienne, la religion,... Seul regret, c'est qu'on est fait cette visite à la fin de notre séjour, il est préférable de le commencer par ça.. pour voir Kuala Lumpur autrement.. nous avons cheminé à pied et en métro, nous avons terminé par une dégustation de fruits au cours de laquelle il nous a apporté beaucoup d'explications. Thank you TK for taking my family and I on a personalised food tour around Central Market and Petaling Street! TK was extremely responsive from the get-go and really easy to communicate with. On the day, my grandma decided to join and TK was super accommodating. Due to this however, the tour was made challenging as my grandma (being elderly) wanted to wander on her own and didn't really understand the concept of a "tour". TK was once again super understanding, and paced the tour so that my grandma could keep up.Fantastic host

I was surprised to find out at the beginning of the food tour that it was snack food only which I wasn’t aware if. . We tried a variety of small foods, but had to buy our own dinner. We found our guide to be friendly enough, but also a bit distracted by his phone during the tour.Not what I expected

Even prior to the meeting Siddoz was very prompt with messages and tailored the tour as per our needs. This was my third visit to Malaysia and I think I knew most about Malaysian food. However within the first 2 dishes quickly proved me wrong. We went from stall to stall - each hand picked for what it was great at - and we got to try some great dishes from the differnt ethnic groups that make up the Malaysian population. Would definitely recommend this guide. Great intro to malaysian food.

Sidoz was knowledgeable and friendly and we enjoyed our time sampling different local foods. There was only one dish we didn't enjoy, but we still were completely full at the end! It was an abrupt end to the session, but that was down to heavy rain that suddenly appeared.Great half day food tour

I met Siddoz (and Cash who was being trained at the time) at the Central Market and was taken on a food tour to remember. I got to sample Malaysian, Chinese and Indian food. It was all great but the Asam Laksa was outstanding. Siddoz is very charming and shares a lot of interesting information on more than food alone. Great experience. Siddoz took us around to places we would not have otherwise found and got to experience some great, authentic food and sights, as well as insights about the history and culture of Malaysia. Highly recommend doing one of these tours, especially if you like trying new foods and finding hidden (inexpensive) gems! Siddoz was also great at giving us some advice the day after, when we were venturing in to Little India - had some of the best Indian we have had there, on his recommendation. Am ersten Tag in KL hatten wir direkt den Eindruck, dass vegetarisches Essen nicht so leicht zu finden ist, wie gedacht. Daher haben wir die Tour mit TK gebucht, die mit vegetarischen Alternativen wirbt. Was soll ich sagen, unsere Erwartungen wurden zu 100% erfüllt. Es war interessant umd vielseitg. TK war super nett und entgegen kommend. Er spricht perfektes Englisch und kennt dich super aus. Wichtig: wirklich mit Hunger kommen! Es gibt viel und reichhaltig zu essen🙃Super Tour, auch vegetarisch

Siddoz was a fabulous guide- he took us to numerous delicious stops, expertly tailoring the experience to be a good fit for two vegetarians. The food was absolutely delicious, the conversations interesting and we learned a lot about the history and culture of the areas we were eating in. Also, the value for price was perfect! We were so full we had to ask to take away food from the last 2-3 spots and they easily accommodated us. Now we have ample leftovers as well of delicious food. Highly recommend booking with Siddoz! We undertook a food tour with Siddoz which exposed us to the very many varied cuisines available in Kuala Lumpar, and he proved to be a very knowledgeable food host. Along with his offsider trainee guide Raja, we learnt a great deal about not just the food, but what goes into it, and the endless variety of what we might consider to be the nasi, mee, and ayam classics, and so on. Trying everything from unusual small cakes, flavoursome tea, various forms of laksa, tasting noodles everywhere from the real back street food scene to the new and upmarket, the night did not lack from a variety of foods and tastes. The tour also had the advantage of being able to be experienced within a short walking distance so the time was well spent. On a final note, bring your appetite. There’s a lot to try and experience!A walking feast

Dans un français parfait issu de ses années passées en France, Johan nous a fait découvrir les principaux monuments de sa ville, nous a expliqué les moments fondateurs de Kuala Lumpur. Mêlant avec humour et de manière parfaitement compréhensible informations historiques et anecdotes amusantes, nous questionnant régulièrement afin de sans cesse nous captiver, Johan nous aura fait découvrir les multiples facettes d’une ville multiculturelle, multicultuelle et qui regorge de trésors. Personnage très attachant, les 4 heures passées en sa compagnie à travers les temples, les différents quartiers et marchés seront passées à toute vitesse. Ce n’est pas sans un pincement au cœur que cette visite aura pris fin au pied de tours Petronas. Incroyable

We met TK outside the Central Market and he took us round the food section explaining about different local foods. TK was interesting and engaging, taking us to some interesting places and sampling some great street food including the ‘pigs intestine noodles’, which were great and the Tom Yam noodles, which were very tasty, along with a tea/coffee drink and a very unhealthy but tasty salad! When we are back in KL, we will be booking another tour with TK so that we can taste more street food. TK gave us a great tour

We picked TK as our KL guide and we couldn't be more please. Initially we had booked him for a food tour but we were looking for a one day tour including Batu Caves and quick peeks at the hot spots of KL. He did not disappoint and really gave us a nice all encompassing overview of the city/culture/food. TK clearly has a passion for all things Malaysia. He's an energetic/dynamic/funny guide and we had a blast spending the day with him. I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family travelling to KL.
