Jorge brought me to a seafood place and had the most amazing shrimps I've had in my life. He ended up peeling them for me cause I was too slow 🤣 In the short time I had with him I learned a lot about the history and culture of Lisbon and felt that it provided me a great understanding of the area. It was wonderful to visit some places known to locals for traditional food and drink and really enhanced our stay. Andre was full of local information and history and had a cheeky sense of humour! He also customised our tour and the options he chose for us according to our food preferences and to try things we hadn't already tried (one of us is a vegetarian). Sonia was great! We had a great time even though it rained for some parts of the tour. She was very attentive and flexible and allowed us to go at our own pace. We booked her for a walking tour for our family of four (me, my wife, our 4 and half year old son, and our 7 month old daughter). We had a stroller for our son and my wife and I took turns carrying our daughter in the baby carrier on our chest. Lisbon is known to be hilly, but the tour was not strenuous. We got to sample the famous custard pastries and the cherry liqueur (served in a tiny chocolate cup). Sonia provided us with interesting factoids and insights about the city. This was our first time visiting Portugal and we wish we had a couple more days to continue exploring and experiencing Lisbon. We would highly recommend Sonia as your tour guide! We highly recommend Luis. Luis took us on a 3-hour walking tour of Lisbon the day we arrived, and then he took us on two one-day tours on subsequent days to several neighboring towns. He was flexible, accommodating, and congenial. Luis was very knowledgeable about the country, region, sites (touristy and off the beaten path), and history. He made great suggestions on what to do and was responsive to our inquiries. His car was clean and comfortable, and we felt very safe in his hands. Camila had a tough group to work with: a multigenerational group, most of whom had just arrived in Lisbon after an overnight transatlantic flight! But she did an excellent job! We highly recommend Sonia who gave us an excellent tour of Lisbon’s historical centre, including a couple of places and short cuts we would never have known about or found if we hadn’t been with Sonia.
