We chose the 5hr walking tour with Julian, and it did not disappoint. Julian is a fantastic historian, he shared so much knowledge of Madrid with us. It was wonderful. We had the most amazing day with Egle. She was so friendly and welcoming and knows so much about Madrid. We walked all over the city seeing not only the major things but lots of smaller, off the beaten path places, as well. Her knowledge is extensive and her enthusiasm for Madrid is contagious! I had booked this tour three months ago; very disappointed that the cancellation due to his apparent conflict was not communicated. We had a great experience. Majo is knowledgeable and a lovely person. The tour was interesting, there wasn't a question we asked that she couldn't answer. It was a lovely tour and amazing experience with Majo. We originally had her booking a bit earlier but due to complications that weren't anyone's fault, she reached out in a timely manner if it could start an hour later. Not a problem. She showed us around the neighborhood, a lot of history and art work that spanned back to the 17th century, and her funny sense of humor. It was such a fun time with her, I highly recommend.

Julio Cesar was great. He gave us a nice overview and walking tour of the city center. He also provided a helpful map with some places in the city we couldn’t miss. He was also very knowledgeable about local markets and places that would interest our 8 year old son. Booked the Explore the Reina Sofia with a Local Guide somewhat last minute (as it was raining) and so glad we did. Eva was a wonderful guide. She definitely knows her art and history and took us all through the garden and museum. She was passionate about the pieces we saw and we appreciated her perspective! Our family of 7 -3 teen/preteen girls, parents, and grandparents had the time of our life with Julio! He picked up on our level of curiosity and humor right away and engaged us all in the perfect combination of history & local lore. His energy and passion were contagious and even after 20 hours of travel without sleep we & the girls went from dragging a bit to hanging on to his every word. His English is excellent and encouraged the girls to try their limited Spanish. Julio is ‘a people person’ and knew instinctively how to connect with each one of us individually and as group as well as how to tailor the tour to our interests. All with humor and spunk!. Lucky us - a perfect introduction to Madrid. Our time with Julio will be one of the best memories of our 9 days in Spain. Julio is amazing!

I couldn't recommend Julio enough. He was so personable it made the whole experience really comfortable. He started out with giving us a map and circled the different neighborhoods so that we were comfortable and had a good baseline understanding of the city which was really nice to orient ourselves. He was so knowledgeable and showed us really fun things about the city. Knew a lot about history but didn't make it complicated. Things I would never have known. I would highly recommend. Our tour did not come with a snack or drink but was supposed to? Otherwise it was perfect!Personable and so knowledgeable!

We had a wonderful 3-hour tour with Julian as we spent the late morning and early afternoon on a food tour of Madrid. Julian was the perfect guide, ensuring that we sampled local dishes and learned a little of the history of Madrid along the way. We had an outstanding experience with Victor as our tour guide for the Prado Museum for our family with our 2 children aged 9 and 12 years old. We have taken many private tours of many major museums in Europe, and he was the best guide we’ve ever had. The best part was his genuine enthusiasm for his work, as if it was the first time he was giving the tour, even though I know he surely has given it countless times before. Sometimes tour guides can seem bored and tired, but not Victor. He messaged me soon after I booked the tour and asked if there were any special interest our children had; I thought that was a nice touch and showed he was preparing a specifically for our tour. He made sure to keep our children involved and engaged and would try to find aspects of the paintings that our children would enjoy. He never seemed in a rush for it to be over, and again the best part is that you could tell he enjoyed his work and was passionate about the art.
