Gennaro is a very kind and patient tour guide. I am somewhat of a slow walker and he was patient the entire tour. Thank you. Gennaro is a wealth of area knowledge and my husband and I learned so much from him. He showed us so many hidden gems and is a great driver to boot. Lunch was seaside with a wonderful view. This is an excellent tour to take while visiting Naples. Donatello is excellent and also gave us some good highlights of key buildings and history while we ate our way down the streets of Naples. The food choices are ideal for walking and talking and we certainly couldn’t eat it all. Plan to go back to some spots for the things we couldn’t devour since we were full. Best time was 12:30 to start the tour. Later would likely be busier and that gave us time to rest and go back out later. Thanks again!! Explore the best street food of Naples!

We booked a 1.5 hour walking tour with Serena as the very first thing we were doing once we arrived in Napoli to begin to get oriented. I loved working with Serena and withlocals.com because we were able to communicate with Serena in advance and ask any questions and tailor what we would do with her based on our interests and needs. I did the tour with my 11 year old so I wanted to make sure it would be interesting and fun for both of us. Our heartfelt thanks to Armando, the 3 hours flew by! He navigated us through the oldest city, we discovered castles, the palace and the very special church (Gesu Nuovo) as well as great coffee and ice cream (Mennella!!!). Armando was very accommodating for any questions, breaks and suggestions, also keeping our kids (13 and 15) interested. He showed and told us honest, critical but also funny stories and places. Raf was great. He thoroughly engaged us as a family of four, including our two girls of 14 and 11. He communicated well when booking via WithLocals and in preparation/on the day for meeting up! He was not patronising at all and taught us all so much and we knew a bit before visiting. He was keen to answer all our questions and the 3 hour tour was perfectly broken with chances to sit and talk rather than constant walking/talking. Also took us to Villa dei Mystiere as we had the Plus tickets. He seemed to enjoy that as much as we did! Getting to experience a little piece of the real live in Naples. Kind guide with load's of experience. Our kids ( 7 and 9 year's old) loved this experience. It was there top choice of 5 days in Italy! My oldest loves food and tasting it was a joy to watch. I wasn't feeling too great that day and it was nice to feel seen and getting taking care of. Serena met us at the bus station and took us to Pompeii & Herculaneum on a rainy cold day. Despite the poor weather, her energy and enthusiasm were boundless and we put in a lot of steps that day. Those steps included walking to all the hot spots and new excavations in Pompeii and all the hidden details/gems in Herculaneum. Her explanations of the details was what made the tour so interesting. Noemi was amazing from the time we booked our experience. She was helpful finding tickets to the site and the right train and shuttle to get there. She was very easy to communicate with in English. Once we arrived, Noemi greeted our 3 boys (ages 6,9,11) with love. They had a great time with the scavenger hunt she setup and learned a ton during the day from all of her engaging stories. My wife and I could not have given them an experience anywhere close to what she gave them. Pompei was incredible and I know it was a much more meaningful experience with her there to guide us. We met up with Rita to begin our tour on a beautiful March afternoon. Rita started the tour helping us get our bearings and giving us a great background on the history of Naples. Rita then took us on a tour through the busy streets of Naples pointing out so many points of interest. She is very connected to the area, there were many times when friends of hers would say hello. Donatella, led us on a fabulous two hour tour of Naples on our first trip and stay in Italy. Donatella showed us all the beautiful spots and shared her knowledge of legends and traditions of Naples. She brought us around to both the new and older parts of Naples so we were able to get a great feel of how the locals experience day to day life. Our favorite was tasting a traditional Napolian pastry and hearing the stories. She showed us areas we would not have found on our own. Die Führung war ein super Start in unseren Neapel Aufenthalt. Danach haben wir die Stadt dann noch weiter erkunden können und durch die Führung ein super Überblick erhalten, Ecken gerade auch im spanischen Viertel gezeigt bekommen, die wir sonst nicht gesehen hätten. Wir haben besonders die Gespräche gefallen über die Geschichte in Neapels und auch die soziologische Betrachtung der derzeitigen Gesellschaft und politischen Verhältnisse. Das war deutlich mehr, als man üblichen Stadtführung erwarten darf.Super Führung!

Our afternoon with Gennaro was exceptional! First, we were so thankful that he thought to contact us a few days before the tour to see if we had flexibility in our schedule. Given that we booked in the off season and on a Sunday, certain things may have been closed later in the day and he suggested, if possible to meet earlier. A very thoughtful gesture. Gennaro was easy to communicate with and quick to get back to us. He was passionate and knowledgeable about the neighbourhoods we walked through, the history of Naples and, of course, the food! The items we tasted were DELICIOUS! and we were happily stuffed to the brim when the tour was over. Highly recommend!A fantastic afternoon in Naples
