We arrived outside the cathedral address given to meet at 10:00 AM and waited till 10:35 AM and never found our guide Alexander. We texted him numerous times on the app that we were instructed to use for contact with but never received a response. The tour guide company had our phone number and email and never attempted to contact us.
I am hoping that the company refunds our tour money.
My husband hopped in a taxi cab and went to the steps of all the surrounding churches just to see if we could find him without success. Can’t say the experience was worth the price as we lost two hours to wait for our hotel to provide us a guide.Never found him
We had a wonderful tour with Dale. She is very knowledgeable about Panama and Panama City and is very energetic. I thought this is primarily going to be a food tour but it is equally about food, the culture and the history of Panama. An excellent tour
We went to San Blas Islands with Daly. She has been a very efficient guide and a wonderful partner for that adventure!
I definitely recommend her!Just perfect
We had a wonderful experience with Daly on our tour . She was informative and very entertaining company . We were shown some interesting places to eat and shared some amazing food during the day . I would recommend Daly 100% . A truly memorable experience with a passionate Panamanian xExceptional tour
Our guide, Daly, is a delightful person, fully knowledgeable about not only the city, but the history and politics surrounding Panama from the early days to the present. She showed us the real pulse of the Casco Viejo and we fell in love with the way she described the people, their culture, their aspirations and their love of country. Simply wonderful. Daly is delightful!
It was such a treat to have Daly be our guide and getting to experience such unique food. Went to local vendors, the food variety was great. Her knowledge of Panamá was an added bonus. Thanks for a great time!!!! Awesome time!!!!!
We greatly enjoyed our two tours with Daly. She has great knowledge of Panama history and knows her city well. We tried lots of delicious food and saw Panama from her eyes which is much more interesting than sitting on a tour bus. Visiting the locks was very interesting. Panama has a rich culture and we tried so many different foods. I highly recommend her tours. Exploring Panama

Daly was fantastic!
We had a wonderful day with Daly. We started with a food tour in the old part of Panama City. Not only did we get to experience true Panamanian food, but Daly also educated us on the history of the area, her country and culture. We went into a wonderful small town/city museum and learned so much about the history of the city and the canal. She took us to local restaurants and helped us select dishes which were delicious and truly local. The food markets she took us to at the end of our day were amazing too. We also added the Panama Canal tour which was absolutely incredible to see. It was great to go there with a local- it really added so much more to the experience than had we done it alone. We highly recommend booking any tour with Daly. She’s very knowledgeable and super fun too!Fantastic day in Panama with Daly!
Based on the description of a three-hour tour with “10 delicious and typical tastings,” we were disappointed with this experience. The tour, scheduled from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM, ran over two hours later, and we only visited four food stops instead of the promised ten.
The first hour was spent in a history museum, which, while interesting, seemed unrelated to a food tour. Our first food stop was at a “La Fonda,” but many dishes were unavailable or had been sitting out too long since we arrived after the lunch rush. Daly, our guide, suggested coming back another day before the lunch rush, which made us feel like we may have missed out on the best items. Daly asked if we had any hard time constraints, which we appreciated, but we didn’t anticipate how much longer the tour would extend beyond its scheduled end time.
Afterward, we walked to Chinatown. Along the way we stopped into another La Fonda but didn’t get any food – most of the food service line was empty since the lunch rush was over, so we’re not sure why we stopped here. The next stop was a Chinese restaurant, which served dishes similar to those found in the U.S. rather than uniquely Panamanian.
By this point, only 30 minutes remained of the scheduled three-hour tour, yet we had visited only two tasting stops out of the advertised ten. We then headed to the meat, produce, and fish markets, arriving after 3:30 PM. Most of the market stalls were closed, leaving us to see workers cleaning up rather than a vibrant market of fresh goods. At the juice stall, we had a fresh drink that was tasty.
The fish market was unappealing, with flies, birds, and visibly poor cleanliness. Despite this, we were taken to a seafood restaurant attached to the market, which we chose to skip after seeing the fish market. We ended the tour with coffee, which was excellent, but skipped the brewery stop as it was past 5 PM by this point.
In summary: Time management was a major issue, and the tour did not deliver the advertised ten tastings. While Daly was friendly, the experience felt disorganized and underwhelming. It’s possible some of this could be addressed by updating the tour description to properly set expectations, as well as clearly setting expectations at the beginning of the tour.Disappointing
We took an early afternoon booking and skipped lunch so we were pretty hungry by time we got to the food tasting. However, by time we got to the food and drink it was abundant and excellent. In between food stops we walked and listened to Daly's stories about the local and regional history. It was all very tasty and interesting. A great afternoon with Daly
Daly did a nice job giving us a walking tour around the older part of Panama City (Casco Viejo), looking at the beautiful old buildings and the ones that are in poor shape. In addition, we visited a museum treating the political history of Panama. Also saw a couple of churches and Daly explained their role in Panamanian history. Our walking tour also took us into a commercial area where the local community have their markets and other business establishments... very interesting to see this.
We would have like learned more about the modern part of Panama City, but given the large size of the city and traffic, it wasn't possible in the short time available.
Daly is enthusiastic and eager to give an "up close" perspective of Panama City! Her car was comfortable and the a/c worked great! :-)Panama City tour
What was plan on being a food tour became an afternoon of learning about the culture and history of Panama with food being the icing. Daly will be the reason when we plan another trip to this beautiful country.Enjoyable afternoon
Amazing historical and food tour combination! Daly is very knowledgeable, nice, and a lot of fun! Panama City Must Do!
Due to holidays we couldn't do the usual tour. But Daly adapted and we still got to see a lot of sights and got loads of history and insight of Panama. Sadly due to circumstances out of her control, we didn't get to really experience the total food tasting.
Am looking forward to doing this again with Daly, on a non holiday! Not as planned
Daly was hands-down the most knowledgeable, energetic, and genuinely kind guide I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Her depth of local food knowledge and her vibrant personality transformed a simple afternoon into one of my favorite experiences in Panama!!
She made every stop engaging, shared insider insights, and radiated warmth throughout. Spending time with her felt like hanging out with a friend.
Daly is the best!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Daly! It was the perfect jumping off point to become acquainted with the Casco Viejo neighborhood from both a history and food perspective. Our day was upended by some rain (welcome to Panama ;-) ) but Daly was able to change up the original plan to make the tour very enjoyable.
Can’t wait to come back and would HIGHLY recommend Daly for your visit!Fantastic Mix of Food and History!
It was great to experience the real culture and heritage of Panama with Daly. Daly was a fantastic host. Her passion and knowledge for her country was very evident. She even took the time to show us a hidden gem of amazing art at a gallery. The REAL Panama
We had such a great time on our tour with Daly! We had the chance to stop in Panama on a long layover and had a wonderful time walking around the old quarter. It's too bad we had to leave so quickly. Daly was very accommodating to our schedule and she still had time to share some history and cultural influences along with the tasty treats. Highly recommend if you have the chance.Awesome Experience
We had such a fun time touring and tasting with Daly. She was very generous with her time and knowledge of Panama. After visiting the Canal Museum, we headed to Chinatown for lunch and then on to markets and the seaside for local juices, ceviche, pastries, and other treats. And along the way we discovered a hidden art gallery and local crafts people. We ended the tour totally satiated and gratified. Thanks Daly!Tasting Fun!
my two sons and I had a great tour with Daly. She is very knowledgeable regarding history culture politics and all things Panama. Very helpful and FUN also.Daly is GREAT
Alexander was a GREAT guide for our first introduction to Panama and Casco Viejo. We loved him, and it was great to pick his brain on other things to do in Panama City as well! Highly recommend!! Highly recommend!
Daly was a fantastic tour guide and wonderful host. Our first stop was the museum where we learned about the indigenous people, the building of the canal and the US invasion. Since there were only 2 of us and it was starting to rain, she took us in her own personal vehicle and we went to the meat market and vegetable market where we had some wonderful fresh squeezed juices. We saw some of the real Panama and how the less fortunate live on the outskirts of town and also went up to the area that used to be housing for the US canal workers and the administration building. We came back in to town and visited the Church of Saint Joseph with the golden altar and a nativity scene like no other! Daly was very generous with her time, as our tour lasted about 4 hours and she even drove us back to where we were staying in Marbella. She was so nice that I hesitate to say anything negative, but what fell short for us were the expectations of the tastings. The 10 tastings experience boasts of local classics like ceviche and empanadas and locals favorites. It also mentions drinks like coffee, unique beverages, alcoholic cocktails, beer and wine. Although we did have the fresh squeezed juices, we envisioned tastings like empanadas, ceviche, patacones, ropa vieja, coffee, a rum cocktail, sangria, wine or local beer and any other must-have favorites at various locations. Maybe our expectations were too high, as we were not expecting a cafeteria style lunch but that is what made the tasting a bit of a disappointment to us. Daly is fantastic but tastings are mixed!
Daly is the ultimate woman about town! I had some time to spare during a layover and chose her food tour experience. She was such a wonderful ambassador to the country! Showing me around town, highlighting bites, and giving me insight to the local culture. Everything we ate was so delicious and it was nicely spread out with walking in between to make room for more treats! By the end of our time together, it felt like we were old friends and it was a little sad to part ways. This was the best way to spend my limited time. Daly is such a gem! Highly recommend! Daly (pronounced Dalí) is a firecracker!!! She has decades of experience in Panamanian tourism and a deep love for her country’s culture and history.
I appreciated her commitment to showing me authentic experiences, rather than a diluted and comfortable tourist tour/explanation.
I felt very comfortable and at home with her and would recommend her highly. Authentic Experience, Passionate Guide
Great tour guide and helped booked my helicopter flight also. Very knowledgeable and gave real personal attention.

I had a great time this afternoon checking out Panama City. Daly is a wonderful human being and made the excursion a memorable one. I got to check out the Miraflores locks, Casco Antiguo, and the causeway which were all awesome. The big fried, smashed bananas tasted so good. She was very accommodating, knowledgeable, and flexible. I even learned some Spanish today. It was smooth from start to finish from booking the adventure to checking out the sites. I highly recommend her as your guide to check out the city. Wonderful afternoon in Panama City
We really enjoyed spending the afternoon with Daly. More than her extensive knowledge , her friendly and welcoming personality made us feel right at home. She was very kind and attentive to our needs and interests. She was extremely generous with her time as she spent over two hours more then what was scheduled for the tour. The tour was very informative and interesting. Daly made the tour memorable.

Enjoyed our food tour with Daly. She loves Panama, history, culture, and food. She helped us understand the history and the food of this diverse area. We had lots of fun walking, tasting and discussing the different areas of town. Highly recommend Daly!Fun day with food and culture
We really spent two fantastic hours with Daly. She allowed us not only to walk through the major points of interest of the old City but also through Panama’s political and sociocultural history. She gave us a lot of information and along with her honesty, sense of humour and sometimes a bit of emotivity she succeeded so well to share with us her love and attachment to her beautiful country. That’s exactly what one would expect from a local guide.
Thanks a lot, Daly
Suzanne and MichelSo instructive and relevant
Daly was beyond wonderful. She was fun, knowledgeable and spent more than the 3 hours with us. We felt however, that we did not get enough food experience. We actually left a bit hungry and went out to eat after. It was wonderful to be with her but the “value for money” was unfortunately missing.Ok but want more food experience
Daly went above and beyond for our tour of Panama. Took us to her favorite spots, filled with food and history of the city. We absolutely loved her passion for Panama ❤️. She made our day so very memorable!Spectacular day with Daly!
Daly gave us a wonderful and unique perspective on the history and people of Panamá. We covered all the main sights as well as behind scenes that you won’t get from the guide books or big group tours. We have been lucky with guides from WithLocals and Daly ranks at the top. Great Tour of Panama’s Casco Viejo
We had an amazing tour experience with Daly at the Panama Canal. She was a a joy to be with and spoke perfect English and Spanish. I have traveled throughout the world, using Withlocals and other apps, and Daly without question is one of the very best, she knows the history, politics, where to eat, and a lot of insight on Panama.
If in Panama City and you’re using Withlocals and need a rock-solid private tour, Daly is the one!

USA Daly is the Best of the Best!
Our day with Daly was lovely. She is a good guide, we loved her knowledge of the city and being a local Panamanian, we loved that. She showed us parts of the city we would have never discovered ourselves. A great walking tour of Casco Viejo
We really enjoyed our time with Daly. We saw many places that we will return to while we are here. She made many recommendations for places to eat and we went to several places that we would not have noticed if we were on our own. We had a Wonderful Time
Dale weet veel van de historische en sociale geschiedenis van Panama. We hebben veel geleerd van haar over dit mooie land! Interessante tour!
