We were delighted to spend time walking around with Daniele. He was kind enough to meet us in our hotel which was a bit away from the usual areas. We went into churches that we would definitely have missed without him. We also caught the changing of the guard at the presidential palace and had a nice beer and a chat in a rooftop bar. Amandio was so awesome! He took us on an incredible bike tour of Rome and was so great with our kids too. They just loved him! We used E Bikes for the first time, which were so fun, and he helped us get comfortable on them. Then he showed us some places we haven't been in Rome which was incredible too. We booked Massimo as our guide for a food tour through Rome’s historic center. We were a group of 3 adults and 2 children, ages 8 and 4. Massimo was an incredible guide, and our 3 hours with him were among the best and most memorable experiences of our entire trip. Massimo’s stories about the history of the area really brought the neighborhoods to life and gave us a deeper understanding and appreciation for streets we had walked on many times before. He kept the kids engaged the entire time as well. His guidance was incredibly valuable because some of the most authentic foods and locations are hidden amid tourist traps. We booked Bado for a city walk guided tour, with our 2 kids, aged 7 and 15, while we were visiting Rome for the first time. Firstly, Bado is really friendly and so easy to chat to. He balanced history, culture, architecture and story-telling perfectly. It wasn't too much info so as to overload the kids and he was so happy to answer their questions and pick up on what interested and engaged each of them. We covered a lot of ground, all the 'showstopper' moments (Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum) and stopping regularly along the way for views you might not get on a larger more generic tour, and of course breaks for gelato and snacks (crucial when touring a city with kids!) This kind of personalised pace is something you simply cannot get when joining a big group. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you Bado!Super Experience with Bado!

Our afternoon with Alessandra at the Colosseum was our best for our stay in Rome! Alessandra's passion for Roman ancient history is clear and infectious. She showed us sights and perspectives that the guide books could never do, which made our experience all the more memorable and enjoyable. I’m a bit late writing this review, but I still often think about the mini tour my partner and I did with Daniele in late February. The slower pace was exactly what we needed, it gave us space to take in the beauty of Rome without rushing, and to really appreciate the city from a local’s perspective. Daniele’s thoughtful, relaxed style made the experience feel authentic and personal. He introduced us to several local spots for snacks, all of which we loved—especially the Trapizzino! We had the best day with Amandio! My kids, ages 4, 9, and 13 all loved him. He really went the extra mile to make sure they were all entertained and happy. We rode e-bikes through the streets of Rome while Amandio told us stories and provided the history of what we were seeing. Highlights included a visit to the colosseum, drinking water from the fountains to become real Romans, and food stops allowing us to taste the best pizza, arancini, and gelato Rome has to offer. We stopped in a local wine shop for a glass of wine and a cafe for espresso. he spoke about the frescos and gave us a history on Rome. We explored alleys and stopped in a garden in a library. Our tour with Paola was like a relaxed stroll with an old friend. As we wandered & chatted through Monti (the Suburra in Ancient Rome), Paola pointed out interesting sites, streetscapes off the tourist tracks, as well as highlighting Rome’s ancient, medieval, renaissance & modern history. As it’s a jubilee year, we visited Santa Maria Maggiore’s holy door & then to Regoli’s pasticceria to sample the seasonal (& delicious ) beignet di San Giuseppe.
