We met with HJ and he was so cool! He took such good care of us. Making sure to walk in the shade and in and out of the AC’s when possible. He is the ultimate local guide that took us through alleys and local spots that only a local would be able to show us. HJ provided a fantastic overview of Singapore's diverse culture and iconic landmarks. He led us through a well-paced itinerary, including the National Gallery, The Merlion, Chinatown, The Haji Lane and Arab Quarter, stunning views of the city and fantastic architecture. The included food tastings showcased authentic local flavors – yummy chicken rice from the oldest Chinatown Hawker center. The transportation was the bus and the metro - so cool! My husband and I came to Singapore for the first time from Canada! Our tour guide was switched from our original booking the day before to Richard. Maybe we got lucky! Richard met us on time and was a wonderful source of information. He walked with us for 4 hours and gave us a great understanding of the struggles and triumphs of Singapore! He was born and raised here and his pride for his country was overflowing!! We tried Kaya Toast and coffee, ice cream sandwiches and he arranged for us to have chicken and rice in Chinatown. He taught us how to use the efficient transportation system and we were brave enough to go to Chinatown alone for dinner and find more affordable breakfast options for the remainder of our trip! Overall a good day. Interesting insights into history, politics and culture. Some difficulties with conversations outside these areas. Ang was very well prepared, enthusiastic, and gave us thoughtful gifts to remember our time in Singapore, and very helpfully took us by metro to the entrance of the gardens by the bay at the end of the tour even though we had already spent over 4 hours with him as we were unsure how to get there It was a very hot day and his itinerary took this into account. Enjoyed visit to private housing and roof top view, as this was definitely something only locals would know about. Interesting visit to market and to try street food, but felt this was slightly too long. Great history lesson

Ang is very passionate and shared a lot about history of Singapore. He helped me customized my trip which I appreciate and overall it was a good trip. Some feedback for improvement: Ang mentioned a few stories where people from my home country did things that offended Singapore people. I don’t think he meant to be rude, but it came off as condescending and made me feel uncomfortable. There are good and bad tourists from every country and I think those comments were unnecessary. Otherwise, good trip. Ang prepared small gifts for me in the end and it was very sweet and I appreciate it. Overall good trip with some feedback

I booked this very much at the last minute and was jet lagged so didn’t realise the charge would be FOUR times what was quoted until it was too late. I couldn’t cancel as I booked within less than 24 hours of the tour so would have lost all my money. I asked the guide to meet me at my hotel rather than at the MRT. This was misunderstood and he turned up with a car which was presumably why it was so much more expensive. The car was a blessing in many ways as it was so hot but I had really wanted to get the hang of public transport having done something similar in Hong Kong five years ago. That said, HJ was knowledgeable and took me to the main districts downtown. I was horrified by the price when I realised how much I had paid. Had I known, I would have made alternative arrangements as it was really expensive for what it was. Moral of the story, if you ask for something which is slightly different to the plan, make sure your guide understands exactly what you want. I had simply wanted to meet him at my hotel rather than at the MRT but it was a very expensive mistake.Misunderstanding led to much higer cost

Grayson is skilled at presenting interesting information without flooding you with minutiae you won’t remember 10 minutes later.
