Linda was the consummate professional before, during and after our tour. She made sure to address our wishes right from the beginning of the tour. She obviously knew all the relevant history, but the best part was how it was delivered. She told so many stories and those tend to stick better rather than just dates and facts. She knew exactly where she wanted to take us, so we were not wandering around aimlessly. As we explored the palace inside and out, she also pointed out places to eat and shop. She had stories or reasons to go to these shops and restaurants as well, which helped in our later decisions of where to buy unique gifts and eat amazing food. Linda also had input about our next stop and we will be sure to follow her suggestions again. She knew where all the best places to take photos were and took many for us as well. I cannot recommend this tour enough! Darko was amazing knowing all the best spots. It was worth the cost for a private tour as he was able to cater it to our dietary preferences, and even arrange some unique experiences to make the most of our time. He also shared some brief history along the way giving us more than just a good tour. It was the best way to see the city and it was clear he had some great connections with the locals also giving us recommendations for the rest if our trip. It was an incredible experience and we are so grateful we did it!!Absolutely the best!!!

Our day in Split with Josko was perfect. He has extensive knowledge of the political and cultural history of Croatia and the entire region, and he's an excellent communicator. He's a great ambassador for his country. Within minutes he felt like an old friend. We learned more about Split and the Diocletian palace in a few hours with him than we would have in several days of blundering about on our own. There were several cruise ships in port that day, so by mid-morning the crowd of tourists swelled. Josko skillfully conducted us around the crowds to avoid lines and ensure that we saw everything we wanted to see as well as lots more we wouldn't have known to look for. He also guided us to an excellent sidewalk cafe for lunch where he helped us sample Croatian food and wines. We couldn't have asked for a better tour experience.A perfect day exploring Split

Linda was a great guide, in particular for our 13 and 16-year old kids, who are 'less interested' in the historical facts. She found the right balance of facts to share, interesting stories, and activities to include ( gelato!) to keep our kids engaged for the most part. We had a fantastic tour with our guide Maja in Split, who did an excellent job combining history with Game of Thrones locations. We specifically asked to see filming spots from the show, and our guide came prepared with a binder full of photos from the series and behind-the-scenes shots. This made it easy to compare the real locations with the scenes filmed in and around Diocletian's Palace. The tour was very detailed—we explored the ancient Roman palace while learning about its real history, as well as discovering key GoT sites, like Daenerys' dragon chambers. The mix of factual history and fun behind-the-scenes stories made the experience incredibly engaging. Highly recommend this tour to both Game of Thrones fans and history lovers! Our guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and made the whole experience unforgettable. At the end of the tour Maja even helped us pick out a very good restaurant. We couldn't have asked for more. Joško was a wonderful guide...especially given the hot weather!! He was thoughtful in trying to keep us as comfortable as possible in the heat during our walking tour. He opened our eyes and minds to the rich history and nuances of Split. He was engaging, open and honest in his responses to our questions. Joško was great! His stories and wide knowledge really helped us see how Split changed through the ages and especially how the Diocletian Palace and the Old Town came to be! We learned so much more than we would have done just looking around by ourselves or with guidebooks (which only tell half the story at most) and he even managed to keep a thirteen year old and an eighteen year old engaged for over two hours. We were on our final day of a 12-day cruise, and Maja provided us a lovely finish to our trip. She walked us through the Palace and explained so many things. She took great pictures of us, so that we would have wonderful memories of the day. Our tour included a treat and we asked if perhaps we could find a place for a local beer instead of ice cream - and she found a wonderful place tucked into a quiet, little square. She was very accommodating to swap out the treat for a beer - what a nice surprise! Nice guided walk through Split

Darko was very welcoming to our small group of 6. He always only books small groups. He had a lot of historical info for us and toured us throughout the old town of Split. We were brought to venues that specialized in local delicacies as we weaved our way through the city. Most off the beaten track. He even shared recipes of some of the foods we loved! Our walk was planned around seeing a different view of the city, not just the tourist attractions . We really enjoyed exploration of old residential areas with exceptional city views and their history. Food and restaurants off the usual promenade and harbour.
