I and my 3 children (8y,10y and 14y) went on a city trip to Valencia and I was looking for a kind of guide who could make a tour interesting for children. After a long search I came across Marcos 'family tour' advertisement. He felt good and so I booked his family tour Valencia. It is always a bit exciting, because certainly the youngest of 8 years old does not speak English (the other does well), except for a few words and therefore there is a degree of difficulty to get such a child involved in a tour where English is spoken. However, Marcos was really fantastic and through patience, interaction, but also by paying attention to each child, he made sure that each child understood his story or question. Of course I sometimes translated a bit for my youngest child. What really gave his tour power, was by working with images and a local tasting. I am a culture and history freak myself, but he also fascinated me with his stories about about the city, which was very educational for me too. In 3 hours he took us through the old city and took us to a number of sights. Marcos fascinated us enormously and we quickly formed a bond. This is very nice. It was a pity that he was going on holiday the next day, otherwise I would have booked another tour with him immediately. Marcos also does customized tours if you want that. His communication is very fast, which we Dutch people really like. If you are looking for a quality guide, then Marcos is the right person for you. Thank you very much and when I come back I will book him again.High recommended family tour guide

Maria is amazing, we were 4, different age and interests, but she was able to read into this and adjust every minute of our visit. She was very well prepared, on just on history, but also on local places, drinks, food and culture. The tour with Marcos was a highlight of València. We really enjoyed how engaging and knowledgeable Marcos was, the three hours flew by and we learned so much about the city. It really gave us a greater appreciation for the city. You can’t appreciate how nice it is to have a small group tour tailored for your questions and interests until you do it. Our only regret is that we did it on our last night of our trip because Marcos had many great local recommendations for places to eat and visit.Awesome tour

Valentín was a very pleasant guide who was generous with his time, and made sure we tasted many Valencian specialities, visiting the central market for fresh produce and then a wine bar for tapas, and finishing in a cocktail bar to try Agua de Valencia - delicious! He also answered our questions about the architecture and demographics of the city, and gave a couple recommendations. We didn’t see as much of the city centre as perhaps we had expected, but it was an enjoyable morning despite that. Thanks Valentín! You won’t go hungry!

What a fantastic 3.5 hours. A superb teacher who brought the old and the new of Valencia to life. A history lesson, recommendations on where to go by ourselves and Spanish lessons for my daughter as we toured the highlights of this beautiful city. I felt very sorry for the packed generic tours .. whilst we had a totally bespoke tour catering to exactly what we wanted to learn, taste in the market and plan for other days. Omdat we eerder in Valencia zijn geweest en hier wat langer verblijven hadden we de wens om weg te blijven van de highlights van Valencia, maar juist de wat meer verborgen juweeltjes te zien. Het werd een zeer bijzondere en informatieve wandeling naar plekken die we anders zeker niet hadden ontdekt. Met veel interessante verhalen over de stad. En naderhand nog vele goede tips opgestuurd gekregen. Kortom: Marcos is top!!Een geweldige rondleiding!

While our guide was very nice and I think his intentions are great, as new visitors to Valencia we didn't feel this tour added what it was supposed to for a food tour for the money. We have done food tours in other cities and the advantages are usually the guides of knowing people and places as to expedite ordering and multiple local dishes- we didn't get exposed to many expected favorites like potato bravas, local ham, paella or even anything in the Central Market which felt strange because he kept saying everything was unusually busy. We also didn't learn many traditions unless we asked. Just felt awkward.

Valentin was fine. He knew his way around the city, the interesting sites to see, and so forth. That probably isn’t surprising, since he is a city guide! He was perfectly pleasant and we enjoyed the tour, but I’m sorry to say that he and tour were on the flat, without any spark of interest from him. The poor man had probably done the tour dozens and dozens of times. Unfortunately, that showed. With other tour guides, and we’ve been lucky enough to have had many over the years, there’s usually a better engagement and more warmth. That said, his communications were good and it was easy to meet him.An OK tour

Maria was super knowledgeable about the history of Valencia with laminates to back up her information in pictorial fashion. The best part of the tour was diving into multiple buildings that we thought were private or at the very least charged for entrance! Her knowledge of architecture was encyclopaedic. Maria is a knowledgeable and friendly guide. We learned a lot about the artists and specific images we had been walking by all week. There is so much graffiti and paintings in Valencia. Choosing what to view and discuss is a challenge. We became more observant after the tour. We would like to know more about the relationships between those who paint images and those who paint script and initials only. Also, we also want to know more about those who choose own walls to paint and those who are paid by property owners to paint on their gates and walls. Great context for art we see

With only two days in Valencia we wanted a family friendly tour to show us some of the key and hidden sights of the area. Maria was wonderful with the kids and showed us alot of sights in the city that we wouldn't have otherwise stumbled across. We did two tours with Maria: a general guide around the centre of Valencia taking in (amongst others): Central Market; Silk Exchange; the palace housing the ceramics museum as well as a number of churches. The second, foodie tour focussed mainly around the narrow streets of the northern central part of the city (Barrio del Carmen) taking in on the way the Cathedral and Basilica, Parroquia de San Nicolas and Torres de Serranos. We thoroughly enjoyed Maria’s description of the buildings as well as some of the city’s history. We had three food stops taking in, amongst others, a small former pharmacy turned into a barInsightful tour, lovely lady
