Roko was very pleasant, knowledgeable about Venice history, and courteous to our concerns. We paid over $500 for the two of us to tour these two sights (entry is free) and received communication that “skip the line” tickets for the Basilica were sold out but we could still stand in line. We responded to the message with questions but received no response. We considered canceling the tours but the website instructions were circular with no clear instructions for cancellation and we didn’t want to lose our money. THEN the Basilica was closed in preparation for Easter! A tour company have been aware of this in advance.No St Marks Basilica

I have to start by saying our time with Alex was our favorite part of our two days in Venice. She showed us the world of local Venice cuisine and embraced our adventurous food pallates. We began with a visit to Mazzarbo, followed by Burano and Murano. Loris gave us so much local history of Venice and the surrounding lagoons. After learning about the fascinating lace-making history of Burano, we had a leisurely lunch with delicious food, wine, and dessert before moving on to Murano where we were treated to a front-row view of one of the island's highly esteemed glassblowers crafting a custom order of drinking glasses. We had a wonderful half day tour in Venice with Roko. He is super knowledgeable and interesting, bringing history to life and injecting humor into the many sights and cultural treasures in Venice. We avoided crowds while getting to explore some off-the-beaten path destinations, as well as major monuments, like San Marco. Roko kept us fully entertained with his command of history and his obvious personal appreciation for the art and history throughout the city. She weaved snippets of history into our conversations whilst savouring a variety of foods. Elena is a great storyteller and extremely engaging. Plus, she is a native with a worldview having left the city before.
