We had a wonderful half day tour in Venice with Roko. He is super knowledgeable and interesting, bringing history to life and injecting humor into the many sights and cultural treasures in Venice. We avoided crowds while getting to explore some off-the-beaten path destinations, as well as major monuments, like San Marco. Roko kept us fully entertained with his command of history and his obvious personal appreciation for the art and history throughout the city. He pointed out many small, but interesting details that most tourists, will no doubt, miss. I highly recommend Roko!Roko is the man in Venice!

For 3 Jewish women, this was a highlight of our trip to Venice. Lucia told the story of the ghettos and ghetto experience so personally, complete with family photos. It is necessary to tell our story, but Lucia's tour will be meaningful to non-Jewish visitors too. The experience is a first-hand view through the eyes of a Venice local. With so many food options available in Venice, I wanted to have someone guide me through the street food options. Adair certainly managed that plus more. She weaved snippets of history into our conversations whilst savouring a variety of foods. From there, we traveled to his lovely home in Murano, where he prepared a mouthwatering multi-course meal, perfectly paired with libations for each course. Elena is a great storyteller and extremely engaging. Plus, she is a native with a worldview having left the city before. So she understands the nuances of being a Venetian and looking at the city through the lens of a tourist! She was also very informative, we had a great time, in spite of the December winter cold. She was also good with answering questions from my tween/ teenager and made sure we were comfortable whilst walking. I had studied The Merchant of Venice for literature - and Elena gave me the 101 on the key places mentioned in the book and even took us on a Traghetto boat ride! We took the Brunetti tour with Valerio last week. Valerio was very accomodating in adjusting our start time and meeting location. We had just arrived the previous day and were still getting up to speed. Needless to say, the tour was absolutely fascinating. We learned some very interesting facts about Venice as well as about Donna Leon and Brunetti's Venice. A most enjoyable 2 hours. If your a fan of Brunetti and visiting Venice, definetly look at this tour. It was the highlight of our trip. Aside form the tour, Valerio was extreemly helpful in giving us some recommedations for restaurants and some things to do in Venice and Murano. My husband Tom and I took the "10 Tastings of Venice" tour with Alexandra last week. We loved it! Alexandra guided us around Venice for three hours providing her insight into modern life in the city as well as some historical highlights. We tasted cicchetti and drank local wine in four locations. Alexandra is an enthusiastic, charming guide who answered all our questions and treated us really well. She lives in the city and knows a lot of the merchants - so we really felt like we were walking around the city with a local friend. My advice for people considering this tour is to arrive hungry and pace yourself with the bites, so you can taste them all. I highly recommend Alexandra as a guide for any Venice tour. We booked Adair for a Food and drink Tasting tour in Venice. She was fantastic! We could not have made a better choice. She was warm and friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the food and the culture of the city. We had been to Venice before and wanted to see it from a different perspective. We also got to know a little about her personally which was delightful. We even stopped by her husband’s bar the next evening when we found ourselves wandering through the streets of Venice, looking for a place to eat. Alexandra was an awesome tour guide! She took us to all local places (and showed us how to recognize them) which we loved - in fact we went back to one of them the next day for lunch! We mentioned that we didn't get to try any Chianti when in Florence and so she had the last place bring some out for us to try! I feel like we got much more than we paid.
