The food tour with Claudia was simply one of the very best tours I've ever been on, She is so friendly and engaging, within 5 minutes it felt like we were just a group of friends going out together rather that any tour! She has incredible knowledge, a wonderful sense of humour and is kind beyond belief. As usual on a with locals food tour, we ate far too much, but the food was so tasty and the locations so thoughtfully chosen, it didn't feel overwhelming, rushed or too full. Claudia not only delivered a fantastic tour with lots of laughter and fun facts, she also went above and beyond and shared transport tips, a great option for Murano, and really helped us as a friend would with next plans. Anyone lucky enough to have Claudia for a guide is in for a real treat, she really is wonderful. HUGE compliments and thanks from the 4 of us to Claudia.Claudia is the best!!

Our family of 5 (3 teenagers) had the pleasure of Elena's company for a couple of hours on our first day in Venice. She was such a great guide with a wealth of knowledge about Venice, it's history and the people. She told us lots of great stories that captured the kids attention. She was smart to limit the walking as it was the end of a long, hot day so we were all pretty tired. But we still got to see an area of Venice we would have never explored. Being from Venice, Elena has great insight into local life. For example, her family owns a gondola & she is teaching her own kids to operate it. Loris was excellent. He thoughtfully tailored the tour to our needs, especially since I had my 8-year-old daughter with me. When she didn’t take to the chocolates at one of the stops, he kindly ordered her some jelly sweets instead. He was incredibly knowledgeable about wine, the wines he picked for the evening were the best we had on our trip. We even bought some bottles to go. Rocco's tour of St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace in Venice was very informative and enjoyable. His explanations of the artwork, architecture, and room functions of both the church and the palace were highly contextualized from the perspective of the Doges of Venice, which helped us to imagine life during the times of the Doges. This was an amazing tour with Nicoletta. We saw so many parts of Venice that are barely mentioned in tour guides, or just a footnote. But that’s where the interesting parts of a city are. Nicoletta covered the background of Doge Palace of course but this tour was so much more than that. Additionally she kept my needs in mind avoiding stairs as much as possible. Claudia was knowledgeable and friendly, sharing with us topics from how Venice manages rising sea levels and its sinking to its history, art, architecture and urban planning. She did so in a way which was engaging, humorous at times, and with reference to actual sites so it was not dry and cerebral. She was energetic and committed throughout the 2.5hr+ tour despite being under the weather and having to bear with the heat, the walk and the distance. Our day with Valerio was amazing! After meeting at the local fish market, we went to his home on murano to prepare a meal. It was delicious and so fun to feel like a local. Our tour of murano included stops to learn about glass blowing. Our daughter got to make her own glass bead and then we toured a glass showroom which was beautiful. Nicoletta gave us a wonderful tour! First, she came to our hotel to save us from figuring out the vaporetto on our first morning in Venice and gave us a walking tour of the city. She had arranged a private boat to take us to Murano, where we got a private tour of the Signoretti Glass Factory. We got to see Alex Signoretti (the master) creating a piece. (We bought something and got a picture with him, but this wasn't necessary). Nicoletta then took us to Burano and we got to walk around seeing the beautiful colorful houses. We also went to a local lace place and saw how they worked. We got a snack together and then took the public vaporetto back to Venice. It was a great day! We highly recommend Nicoletta!Great tour with a Venetian native!

We didn’t have many days in Venice, but wanted to make the most of our time there. We loved our glass factory tour and then popping over to the colors of Burano was a great combination to see two different spots—both easy to access by vaporetto! Burano is absolutely STUNNING and I would highly recommend a visit. Nicoletta knew how to get us off the beaten path on that island and it made for a lovely stroll. There were unexpected surprises as well, one which included a stop in Emilia Burano and to see the exquisite lacework done there!Beautiful Custom Experience

Roberto accommodated us 2 days after our originally scheduled tour, as we arrived a day later than expected. The tour he provided was interesting, but could probably be completed in 2 hours. Roberto is an intelligent person who does have a working knowledge of several languages, but I would not say that most English speakers would be able to absorb all of what he says during a tour. We certainly liked learning about his native city and enjoyed his sense of humor too. The only reason we are providing this level of detail is because the cost of the tour was considerable and we would have appreciated knowing exactly what the pluses and minuses might have e been. We truly appreciated Robeto’s flexibilty.

My husband and I recently did a walking tour with Loris in Venice and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. We customized one of his available photography tours to focus less on photography and add more walking and food and wine. We had a fantastic time with Loris who was so kind and knowledgeable about Venice. As a trained sommelier, he also did a great job explaining the local wines we tried. We really felt like we got a local perspective on Venice and got to visit places that are not in all the guide books. It felt like being shown around the city by a good friend. Since our tour was so recent, we still have not received copies of the photos Loris took but he suggested some fun and scenic locations for pictures and did a great job directing us and making us feel comfortable in front of the camera.
